Hey if you’re new or returning to tumblr, a reminder for you on why the tags are great, from an artist’s perspective. You can reblog something and not only put it in neat boxes of “fandoms”, “characters”, “type of media” or whatever other way of categorizing you prefer on your blog, but also type whatever nonsense you feel like saying about that particular post, without sending a direct ping to op. If the op wants they check their activity for those sweet tags, and if they’re me, you make their day by leaving comments that way. Just felt like reminding since there’s a lot of new people and not a lot of those comments lately ;w;
Send me a # (questions for OCs) or a letter (questions for creators) and I’ll answer

me most of the time: I don't think intelligence is a useful metric or even something quantifiable. it's an idea that does and always has done more harm than good
me reading yet another person react to dragon's dogma 2 having monster ai by assuming they meant image generation or chatgpt or something: a lot of you are very stupid
How do I turn off 90s mode and who thought this was even remotely a good idea
everyone say in the tags what their current custom discord status is
art tips
don't call what you create "content". regardless of what it is. that's the devil talking. call it art, call it writing, call it music, call it analysis, call it editing, literally just call it what it is
I was going to put other things but oh my god please just don't call yourself a "content creator". you are a person you are making art / writing / music / etc you are an artist an author a musician
you are not an Image Generator For Clicks And Views. please. allow yourself to connect with your work by naming it properly and acknowledging yourself in kind
"came back wrong" what about Came Back Afraid. You used to be brave. Too brave maybe, defying the odds at every turn, a fighter, cocky, playing with fire, first to throw yourself at the enemy. Until one day it all caught up to you. You came back, somehow, but now you know all too intimately how it feels to lose, to die, to be destroyed. Now you flinch and freeze and cower at the slightest provocation. Who even are you now if you can't be brave? The grave may have let you go, but the mortal fear still grips you tighter than ever.
fuck this time loop im leaving (walks into a different, worse time loop)
I'll see people literally say "don't take inspiration from my art/ocs" online (mostly on toyhouse) and I just wonder how we strayed so far from what art is? no art was created in a vacuum. all art was inspired by other art and all art will inspire others. art is a constant collaboration of everyone and everything, you cannot isolate your art from that collaboration unless you keep it private
