A short teaser image for a teaser 2 page comic teaser for a fanfic.
"In my ducking head" tells the story of what happens when Fresh possesses Epic, of all people.
Turns out, Epic would do anything for some proper rest, including but not limited to falling in love with a parasite.
Hey, maybe next time he makes a move on his newly single best friend, if it goes badly, he can just blame it on Fresh, right?
tl:dr, Frepicross is the greatest ship imo

also I love the textures in your art.
Hm, technically not TAU related but I'm just kinda curious. Where did the uh eye thing (my mind is blanking on the word rn) is indicative of gender thing come from? I just think the idea is neat is all.
partly from my ass, partly from fandom tropes, partly from canon!
unfortunately i can't really provide examples of fanon because it's been a while since i've seen this floating around, but i know there at least USED to be a pretty big trope towards genderbending all the skeleton AU characters (or even just making original skeleton OCs that were female). the biggest way people chose to portray these characters was usually presentation - their bodies would be exactly the same as the OG sanses, just with maybe ecto and/or eye makeup.
all i did was take that further, because in my mind, it made sense!
the majority of canonically female monsters in the game are flat as washing boards, not a single titty in sight - maybe except the slightest of pec-bumps if you really squint - with only 2 notable exceptions that i could find, that being catty and the snowdin shopkeeper:
in fact, if you want to be pedantic...
king fluffybuns has more titty than his fucking wife xD
to me, the presence of boobage on catty, the snowdin shopkeeper and asgore proves that toby and temmie WERE VERY CAPABLE of drawing tits if they wanted to - which means that the lack of tits on the other characters was not an error, it was simply a design choice.
additionally, i believe that it's mostly just anthropomorphic monsters that are revealed to be women in the first place - "lesser" monsters all have completely identical sprites and, if memory serves, most of them are only ever really referred to as "it" or "they". (admittedly, i don't have the patience to go through every profile in the wiki to make sure, so take that with a little salt.) and while that could be just unreliable narration, i'm not here to beat the meta horse to death; i'm taking the information that i see at face value and running with it. and the information that i see is that there isn't a huge amount of sexual dimorphism in the vast majority of monsters, especially when you count non-anthropomorphic ones, which - again, focusing on what we actually see in-game - far outnumber their humanoid counterparts.
instead, you mainly tell what gender the characters are by the way they dress and their eyes - which usually have longer lashes, even if they're not wearing makeup like the shopkeep is. if nothing else, you might be forced to tell by their name or just by the game's narration. so in that case, we - or i, at least - know that most monsters in the underground go by "they" or "it", and not only is strongly gendered presentation already pretty fucking rare, when you get it, it's mostly in people just... dressing the way they want to be called. that's it.
to me, that fits in perfectly with the trope of female skeletons just having makeup or some ecto. they're telling people that they're female because that's how they want to be called; if they didn't put that effort in, other monsters would probably default to "it". like so:
and then when you introduce AU tomfoolery, of course, you can also get situations like this, where more nuance needs to be considered:
Context: Dream ate a black apple. He was corrupted as a result. This comic depicts his last sane days before it fully hits.

(spoilers for chapter 8 of Yet Another Battle)
Dream: I guess that's what I'm doing, aren't I? Casting you away. How selfish of me...I'm sorry. I didn't...don't want to do this either. You just have to trust me.
Cross: Dream! (reaches for his hand)
Dream: (slaps it away) NO!
Cross: ow!
even I got offender and I don't know who tf the anon was talking about....
Im not prev but it probably wasn’t Spooks fic, I’ve read it and it was pretty good/interesting even if her pacing was a little wonky at times and she don’t update very often. It was probably somewon else. I know I’ve seen another one where they used pantheon, a onshot on Ao3 i think? It was pretty dark, with heavy gore themes and mind fuckery. Spook’s fic… tries to be scary n suspenseful but idk if she do it very well tbh. No hate against her ofc, it just feels out of placeingly self indulgent.? Like Nightmare would not act like that lol, yknoe? She’s gotten odly popular despite that tho, so kudus to her. I think her fics called ‘monsters of the dark’ or smth idk. I keep tryn to give her advise but she don’t answer despite saying she always answers asks, pretty odd if youd ask me🤔
Anyway love your AU and all the original ideas you got, long time fan👋 keep up the good work man. We need better writers like youself 💪🔥
-long fan anon 💥
anon... for signing your message with "long time fan", i have to admit, it seems like you've had a critical misunderstanding about me and how i feel about storytelling. i'm not mad, but since you brought this to my inbox looking for my opinion, i'm going to give it to you:
1: fandom is a hobby. it is amateur in the truest sense of the word - someone who does something for free simply because they love to do it. none of us are getting into publishing houses, and furthermore, that level of quality is very rarely achievable by only one person.
2: as i said here more in-depth, the thing that makes our stories truly unique is the fact that they're self-indulgent. your own preferences and interests are the most unique thing you bring to the table; if you're not using them, you're just hashing out someone else's interests using disney's dryass 3-step "guaranteed-to-sell" formula. and to be frank, regurgitating that formula ad-fucking-nauseam is a one-way ticket to the worst sin a story can possibly achieve, far more than being boring, clichéd, derivative, repetitive or badly-written: being soulless.
3: my version of nightmare is no more canon or "correct" or "in-character" than hers or anyone else's. in fact, if you want to talk about in-character, joku has stated that NM is a "thing", not a person - so by joku's canon, anyone who portrays him in any sort of sympathetic light at all is portraying him "incorrectly". and to be quite frank... i find that horrifically boring. if someone wants to make him sickeningly sweet, of course, i would personally prefer if i could see how he got from point A to point B... but ultimately, if it's not my story, why should i give a damn if it suits my tastes? it's like going to a fucking bakery and complaining about the cakes being all lemon flavored when you yourself are a baker. you can just go make your own cake!!
4: "I keep tryn to give her advise but she don’t answer" - did your advice sound anything like this ask, anon? because even i got offended reading it, and the fic isn't even mine. and far more importantly, did they ask for critique? if the answer is yes - which i doubt - did you then ask questions to find out what they wanted to achieve with their own story and give them advice to help them reach that goal? because if someone asks for critique and you respond by trying to transform the story into something you like, that's bad critique etiquette - as is, far more importantly, giving unsolicited critique to works that aren't asking for it at all.
5: cruelty ≠ critique. as i said above, to critique a work is to attempt to help the author reach their goals. no matter someone's skill level, there's always going to be something about their work that you don't personally like - and using that as fuel to be disparaging to the artist is not critique, it's cruelty. ten tantita pinche madre, man, christ
6: "she don’t update very often" - this is fandom, anon. tiktok's fast fashion treatment towards media nowadays is not indicative of how fandom really works. undertale is, what, 8 years old, now? and we're all still here for love of skeletons. what do you expect people to be doing to survive in all that time? photosynthesizing? i'd be fascinated to meet them if that was true - but personally, i have to work to get money to eat. and before that, i had to go to school or else get thrown in juvie. people've got shit to do, man.
7: "It was probably somewon else", "She’s gotten odly popular despite that tho" - if their work has gotten really popular, there's probably a reason. and not to elevate english to an undeserved standard when it's such a shit language, but i imagine - going out on a limb here - it probably has something to do with her being able to use spellcheck.
and finally, 8: in the time it's taken me to answer this ask, you have sent me MORE asks pressuring me to answer you faster. that shit does not fly on my blog, anon, and especially not after you already admitted to harassing the writer in question with unwanted, bad-form "critique" of their work. i am not so goddamn oblivious or passionate about my own interests to not notice that you're trying to use me as a soapbox, which further makes your tag as "long time fan" ridiculous - because i have made my stance on harassment quite clear.
"but keegan, you critique things all the time!", i hear you saying. "what makes your critiques so much better, huh?"
well, the thing is, anon, even if i express frustration with the original stories not going the way i had hoped they would, my worldbuilding posts are still not critiques of their source materials because i'm not going to the authors of these stories and trying to help them reach their own goals, NOR am i taking my own desires for the work and making it the author's fucking problem. instead, i'm sat over here in my own little corner doing my own thing, and furthermore regularly clarifying to the people who like my worldbuilding that my feelings on the author's work is quite positive, in fact, despite whatever qualms might drive me to take my own fanfictions in a different direction. and as a matter of fact, a significant part of the reason i made multiverse tau an au in the first place was because i knew my own vision for these characters was going to deviate so harshly from the goals their creators had expressed, and i specifically wanted to go out of my way to avoid causing confusion. i did NOT want people taking my portrayals of these characters, conflating them with the originals, and then going to make that the creator's problem. multiverse TAU is an AU where i take whatever nitpicky bullshit nothingburgers that plague my mind and i do whatever i want with them, and in doing so, ironically, i'm doing a fine job of minding my own damn business.
in short: please do not bring critique of other people's work into my inbox, and furthermore please do not admit to me that you've been harassing people, and furthermost PLEASE do not harass ME when i don't jump the gun to agree with you on the matter. again: i have made my stance on harassment abundantly clear. you are creating problems for yourself because you have nothing better to do with your life - your time (and mine, AND theirs) would be much more pleasantly spent if you could manage to find some sort of constructive hobby, instead.

Dream: I'm sorry. I don't mean to scare you.
Cross: You don't scare me, Dream. I love you.
Dream: And now you're lying to me... I'm not trying to shut you out. just to keep you safe. safe from me.
10/10 no notes
Since there exists an au where the fanon murder time trio is an idol group (the au was made by zucchiyeni)
Imagine an au where the canon mtt is an emo problematic metal band from the 90s/early 2000s (or the 2010s)
Killer's the guitarist/ singer since his voice (the snappy voice that the fandom assigned for him) would probably fit the metal genre
Dust and his quiet ass is the bassist.
And horror's the drummer
And maybe we can have a running gag where horror, despite his frail and starved body, hits the drums so hard you'd think he's going to stab them.
And then we can have a "drummer x bassist" moment, actually screw it they're all probably together.
And then we make them get into a crap ton of controversy.
