So idk if others have noticed this before - but it’s the first time I’m seeing this, hence the post.

There’s a website, https://www.photosugar.com, which apparently mirrors all pictures, gifsets etc. people post on their tumblrs (and also other social media sites like twitter and instagram, if I understand it correctly). An example for a tumblr user, with my name: https://www.photosugar.com/tu/lordhellebore

Now it won‘t turn up anything but a 404 error in my case, because I sent an e-mail to the contact address, which is darius@photosugar.com with the title “My content on your website”:

Hello, it’s come to my attention that you are mirroring all of the posts containing pictures/gifs that I post on my tumblr. I am asking you to stop pulling the content from my tumblr and to delete me from your website. tumblr username is „lordhellebore“ Thank you.

I got a reply consisting of the single word “removed” after just one day, and as you can see, it worked perfectly fine with the informal mail I sent. So if you want them to stop mirroring your tumblr, it seems all you really need to do is this.

I can’t test the site for all of my mutuals, but I’m tagging a few whom I found on there by random trial & error, and I suggest you look yourself up if you see this post and dislike tumblr mirrors (even if this one is only for pictures, not text).

WARNING TO BNHA ARTISTS WITH BNHA OCS

There are many people on the My Hero Academia Amino who are REPOSTING OC artworks and using them as faceclaim. These users are changing your OCs name, quirk and personality. SOME OF THEM ARE STEALING OCs wholesale! Only adding things that are not in the image eg. Adding a personality if the image they used did not specify.

I am personally not OK with people stealing or faceclaiming OCs.

PLEASE PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN A FEW ALREADY AND THERE WILL ONLY BE MORE SINCE MORE AND MORE ARTISTS ARE PUTTING OUT LOVELY BNHA OCs

Not only that but many of the users repost the fanart as well. (So there is that too…)

Please be careful and always put watermarks!!

I know this warning seems petty but I really am not comfortable for people getting recognition for something they reposted…. ;;;

EDIT: I am a curator in the amino trying to clean up the place of uncredited reposts and stole artworks!! I am unable to stop the reposting as I have no “proper grounds” on which to push for reposting only with permission.

You remember that post about the homestuck t-shirt design contest collaborating with hot topic? And how Hot Topic are the biggest art thieves? This is recent. As you can see above, I stumbled upon Hot Topic’s website and they are selling a very popular fan art put on a t-shirt, and did not ask permission from the original artist (rismo).

This shows Hot Topic still continues their art thievery. Hot Topic are still taking art from artists without their permission. This is disrespectful and appalling.

This was meant to be a rough sketch but I couldn’t let it go unfinished. You got my girlfriend’s ( @sneakthedawnn ) favorite female vocaloid , Miriam and then you got mine which is Luka. They are dancing performing “Snowglobe city” that’s sung by Miriam if you want a calming beautiful song check it out!!
