Eustass Kidd, the Pirate King, at his first coronation
I may have a few sitting on my hard drive to finish formatting and get printing ....
I bind fanfic and other underground writing into real books. I am a Guerilla publisher.
In a nutshell, the reasons why:
A demonstrative statement on the validity of “fic” in general (and fanfic within that specifically) as a newborn genre of literature that has really only come into its own in the last 15-20 years.
Disrupting preconceptions about what is valuable and worthy of being in print, much less published in a fine edition.
An act of anti-capitalist resistance. Participation in the traditional gift economy of fandom. Most of my projects are volunteer and gifts.
Preservation of fandom history and works for future generations. These books cannot blip out of existence by puritanical updates to a socmed terms of service. These books are acid-free, archive ready, made to survive for another century.
Demonstration against censorship of fiction. Most of the books contain subject matter some people may find objectionable on various grounds.
In summary, it’s a big Fuck You to power structures that silence people. Also it makes my friends so happy that they cry, so that’s nice too.
My book design is deliberately conservative because I am challenging ideas of what should be inside the book. The more a book looks like something a “real” publishing house would put out, the stronger and more subversive the statement it makes.
I am also doing a lot of research working on replicating the style of books from centuries past, and publishing historical fic set in whatever period, in an embodiment that matches. Colors, typography, even form factor as much as possible. I have done Victorian, Edwardian, Renaissance eras.
Here are some various process pics. Books pictured:

AND THEN THERE WERE TWO by NymeriaKing (Star Wars / Kylux)
BLUTRUNST by IncurableNecromantic (Over the Garden Wall)

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up.” – Professor Stephen Hawking
I grew up pretty rural, and while the sky never was /this/ clear, the stars were something awesome to witness. Its still my favourite sights when I go home to visit my mother.
As a teenager, my family hosted an exchange student for the summer; she was from Tokyo. We spend most of the summer evenings just star-gazing. I will never forget - the night sky was the thing that she loved most about her visit. Having never lived in a city at that time, i didn't understand yet.
Could turn anyone Pirate, me thinks.
I think of my friend, her first clear night in the mountains. She had no words for the sight. I imagine what that first night after leaving Kustukku would be like - to actually /see/ the night sky for the first time, no city light pollution or smog to hide it away.

So it turns out that my everything in my 'photos' folder on my laptop was actually saved on one drive and not on my computer at all.
So when i deleted my one drive account which i was not aware i was using at all....
All of the art since october was also deleted. Everything.
All the raw image files, all the wips. Just gone.
I have a few wips that are in my discord notes that i might be able to salvage from but...
Yeah.
On top of that im also in a major upheaval at work and trying to transfer departments before mine sinks completely.
So ... thats kinda the kinda hiatus im i right now.
Having said that, i have a few sketchs that never made it to the scan phase that i might color just so i got something for yall.
Thank you again for your love, patiences and support EDIT: i'm gotten most of my raws for kikitober back, but everything after it looks like mid december 2024 is gone. >.< so all of the upcoming fanart for yet unposted fic and all of Kidd Pirate Month is gone except for the final pieces that got posted here already
Came across these beautiful papers and had to buy them. I'm not completely sure they will even work for what I have in mind, but oh..... if they do
Done for the Good Omens Holiday Swap 2019. I was lucky enough to be chosen to create for the awesome @holycatsandrabbits (go read her fic omg). These were done for the requested prompts: Crowley awake while holding a sleeping Aziraphale and Aziraphale & Crowley with halos and wings. Yes I did two, I am weak.

Drabbles from Pocket Jack's KiKi-tober Prompt list
Killer had paused in the door way of the workshop, head cocked to the side and watching Kidd frantically clearing space off of his desk, dropping a roll of onionskin paper on the wood with a thud.
"You good there, Kidd?"
"The bastard has a fucking submarine."
It took Killer a moment, lips pursed together in a tight line. "Okay. Aaand?"
"How'd he do it? Did he buy it? Did he steal it?" Kidd had finally shoved enough of his crap around to unroll the stack, and leafed through it for a clear page with a frantic energy that had been rare lately. "Who'd he steal it from? Can't be the Marines?"
"Doubt it was the Marines or we'd be hearing more of missing ships on open ocean." Killer crossed his arms and leaned against the door, watching his Captain.
"Somebody's prototype then. Are there more? What iteration is it? How long has he had it?" And Kidd was off, scribbling half processed ideas before rejecting them and sketching something else, "How does it work. It can't be his fruit; does he have another fruit user on his crew?"
Killer let Kidd frantically draw for a little bit, mulling it over, "I've not heard anything that would confirm that. However, Trafalgar's crew is mostly unknown." he conceded.
"So if not a fruit, how does he deal with the air issue? Some kind of oxygen converter? What about carbon dioxide gas build up? Hell, how does he deal with condensation? How long can she actually stay submerged.?"
Killer couldn't even hedge a guess on those; they where drifting out of the realm of knowledge Killer had stored up and firmly into the Captain's mad-genius realm.
"How deep can she dive and how does she deal with the increased pressure? What about sea-king deterrents?"
Killer chuckled, shaking his head and watched his partner get consumed with a new idea. Wire wandered by at one point and doubled back to tower over Killer, watching their captain talk to himself, sketching out plans only he would be able to make heads or tails of at the end of the day, and then flip to a new blank sheet.
"Dare I ask?"
"Our captain here just found out one of the other supernovas has a submarine, and now he's gonna hyper-fixate on that for the next 10 hours."
"Only 10?"
"That's all I'm giving him before I drag his ass down to the galley-" Killer's voice started to rise as he spoke, until it was clear he was also talking directly to Kidd, "-and force him to focus on something farther away than twelve inches from his face!"
"Yeah, sounds good. I trust your judgement," Kidd mumbled back, clearly not having actually registered a word Killer just said.
In turn, the vice captain looked up at Wire and gestured at Kidd in a pointed 'See?' motion.
"Glad Captain trusts your judgement," Wire snarked, before strolling away, highly amused.
Killer just shook his head.
