Did you know Rapunzel has a TV Series?

Today is a mixed bag of emotions when it comes to the Tangled series. On the one hand, I’m really glad so many people seem to be discovering it for the first time this week. On the other hand, that just pulls into sharp awareness that Disney is not doing our show any favors in the marketing department. We’re well into season two now, and there are tons of people who still don’t even know it exists.

Keep spreading the word, guys. It really sucks that @cnotes is having to do all the marketing himself in a grassroots campaign and that the fans themselves are the only thing carrying it forward still. It’s a travesty that the new episodes aren’t being advertised at all, and the show itself is rarely getting any attention on Disney Channel. The other night, I saw the first commercial for it since season two began (and it wasn’t a new one or anything) and that was at, like, 1 in the morning.

Talk about it on social media. You never know when someone who, for some reason hasn’t heard of it yet, will suddenly become aware of it because of you. Absolutely, 100%, play up your love for Varian. If you love him, chances are good your followers will, too. Reblog gifs of Rapunzel and Eugene and Pascal and Max so that people will do double takes and say, “Wait, what? Why are they in that art style? Why is Rapunzel’s hair long?” If we get them talking about it and asking questions, we can answer those questions, and the answer is, “There’s this great series! Watch it, too!”

You guys are great. This fandom is great. I love you guys.

I found the most heartbreaking parallel. One shows Rapunzel smiling at Varian, who happily agree to keep the black rocks a secret. Then the other shows her glaring at her once friend, who is looking at Rapunzel with great satisfaction knowing his plan is working. I’m looking at these screenshots, I hope we get a scene with Varian in Raps’s spot, maybe he’s decided to work with her….then make a snarky remark. “You do realize we’re not buddy-buddy, right?” Raps will probably say something like, “It’s a start.”

Tangled: Moon theory, revisited. (December 2018)

It’s been a while, and I have decided to redo a fan favourite, moon theory (original concept by @ghosta-r). I had already done a post analysing it back in the day (August), but looking back, I feel like it was a little to inconsistent, plus it was missing a few points. So, here is instead a full list and analysis of the season 1 evidence and a few season 2 seasonings here and there. Also, important note that this evidence has been gathered with the help of several amazing people from the fandom, which I’ll list in the credits. None of this would have been possible without their help. So the theory goes as such. Varian is to the moondrop what Rapunzel is to the sundrop. A vessel or person with the ability to truly use and command its power to his will. Sounds fairly far fetched at first glance. But how plausible is that theory?
