The Suddery Coracle

The Gävle Goat is a traditional Christmas display erected annually in Gävle, Sweden. It is a giant version of a traditional Swedish Yule Goat figure made of straw, and has been the subject of repeated arson attacks (many of which have been hilariously creative) throughout its history.

There is actually a similar tradition in Suddery on the Island of Sodor. Every year on the first of December, a giant straw model of a coracle, a type of small one-person boat, (see below picture for an example) is erected in the car park of the town's railway station, and is kept in place into the new year until the end of January. It is meant to symbolize the coracle which local tradition claims carried the Irish missionary St. Luoc to the shores of Suddery Bay.

Much like its Swedish counterpart, the Suddery Coracle has been the victim of several arson attacks ever since its first year. Perhaps the most spectacular of these was when the tank engine twins Bill and Ben sent a truck loaded with burning oily rags (plus several fireworks for added effect) hurtling off the rails and into the Coracle!

The twins have not been able to successfully burn down the coracle themselves since then (though they have certainly tried), but it is speculated that they continue to be involved in the planning of arson attacks on the coracle to this day.

Also having read hus Biography, I can state the rather unfortunate reasoning for the use of the N word was shoe polish.

Yeah it was used as a colour name on those tins, hence him using it as a noun in HtGE, he basically was trying to say the boys looked like they had been covered in shoe polish, and wrote it in the worst way possible.

• despite both Daisy and Mavis undergoing similar character development, they are unique in personality. They are also friends and don't try to undercut one another

• Annie and Clarabel are written as more sensible than Thomas, the Skarloey coaches are written as unruly and mischievous to their engines, and Henrietta is written as Toby's equal (character diversity)

• the Rev Awdry's wife is the whole reason we have the books, and ergo, the TVS

One of his bio's states that he judges a persons quirk or fighting style by how they get his tape of themselves, the examples used being the burn marks from Ashido denoting her acid, and the stretching of Sato using his massive strength, do remember just because they aren't showing of their intellect doesn't mean they don't have it, all of them are at UA for a reason.

All of the kids in the hero course are highly intelligent, those states of intelligence seem to be when compared to each other, still using Hanta as an example.

Taking the early Ultra Archives, he ain't bad having very good stats across the board, even with intelligence being a lower ranked stat.

But in analysis he gets a further better rating, granted without the Intelligence stat, but that stat is probably not the best to use when discussing their tactical knowledge as Sero has the same stat in this feild as Tokoyami with a C, who is noted as being rather strategic, hence why this stat does not adequate to tactical intelligence.

Anyway sorry for the ranting reblog, I just like this sort of stuff, it's fun to see how characters are well given stats, it's weird but I think it's cool.

Holy crap. From what little we've seen of Sero so far, he hasn't really been the sharpest knife in the drawer, but here he is doing battle analysis on par with what Deku does. A bit out of nowhere to be honest but hey, Sero has had almost no focus or anything until now so okay.

nearly all of the characters in mha have supplied immense happiness to the fandom for so long. I want them to have that much happiness (if more than that isn't possible) for themselves

I feel like at least once during a training exercise while in full hero gear, Kaminari straight up asked Iida if he can change into a semi-truck because his hero costume reminds him of Optimus Prime

Also simply because of how her Quirk works she was even fucking stronger against him, he had a Quirk that inflicted fear, she's on massive amounts of adrenaline and at risk of falling, Her Heart is hammering like someone replaced it with a jack hammer, and how does her quirk function?

By using her own heartbeat transmitted through her Jacks.

At that moment not only did it directly oppose Radio Waves, it was at the strongest it would ever be in her life, then the shock of losing her ear did that again.

In that moment she was the final way to stall him, that scene of Jirou stunning AFO by unlocking the vestiges of the stolen quirks, she created her own Tien Vs Semi-Perfect Cell situation, there were stronger candidates, but in that moment it was a Young Woman facing down Fear and Death, and faced it was Anger and so much Passion that it overwrote mental blocks.

Kyouka Jirou deserves the Best Girl Title for simply fucking up AFO's ass so bad.

we ARE aware that jirou's heartbeat wall is the fastest, most direct counter to all for one's radio waves, right???? we are aware that in the planning it was probably considered that when shit hits the fan, she's their biggest shot at opposing that??? we're aware that she's one of the examples of the indomitable human spirit and strength of will in that arc given she (and tokoyami i guess but this isn't about him) literally woke up the spirits of the quirks within all for one and that they all would've died without that??? right??? RIGHT????
