HELLO IM DOING COMMISSIONS FOR THE FIRST TIME

I tried drawing Sans and Papyrus today. Yesterday I practiced drawing skeletons using a science diagram, and it went pretty well. Then i decided to digitalize it, and I really like the turn out.

What have I done.

This. Like- when I send an artwork or story or whatever, I'm saying im proud of it, and I want to be reassured that I am doing something good and right or that at least someone likes it. I can't really get that much at home, since it either gets compared to my aunt's art (which I gladly admit is way more detailed and advanced? Than mine) or I'll just get "mhmm" or "that's nice". It kinda puts a downer on things, ya know? Or like when I post something on my other media platforms or even this one, and it gets like 100 likes but everything else, stuff that I spent more effort on or i think turned out way better than the other one gets only like 30 (I'm thinking about my insta on this).

And to be honest? It's not really followers or likes I'm after, it's people's interaction with my things I long for. That's why I'm so happy when this same person likes and comments on my fanfic even though I have months between each chapter. They are speaking to me, boosting me and making me feel like what I'm doing is worthwhile.

Yeah, I'll continue doing it because it's my joy and passion, but it still feels nice when someone tells ya its good or gives critic, ya know?

“Your art isn’t valued by the number of notes you get” okay but. If you spent 6 hours baking a cake for a party, but no one at the party eats your cake, it’s still disappointing.

"You're telling me that not only did my little squirt disappear out of no where, at around the same time *your* helper of chaos-"

"Ignea- Helper of Chaos is just her title for dramatic effect"

"Yeah yeah, Ignea." the hero waved their hand in a brushing off motion as she continued. "They went missing at the same time?"

The hero's autumn-schemed nemesis nodded, folding their arms. "Normally, I'd assume that it was your fault, Yuki, and based on how quickly you dashed off to our old meeting place you assumed I was at fault but..."

"Don't use my given name, and yes. For once you're probably telling the truth." The hero, Yuki, sighed. "Look, is there any big baddie that you upset, insulted- maybe someone that one kid we used to play with in Canada?"

The other shook their head without hesitation. "William and I are on good terms, and he already established he's not going to touch our territory. Besides, all he does is steal moose and send the law enforcement of his province pepper-infused maple syrup candy."

"Wait seriously? That's very Canadian."

"You're very Canadian!!"

"Yeah yeah-" Yuki cleared her throat. "Is there any other thing that could link the disappearances together? School? Media? Anything?"

The villain just shook their head.

"Well great." The hero plopped down onto the pavement, making the other wince, before putting her head on her palms. "Not only is one of the most active hero among the citizens missing her assistant, the 'Deity of Chaos', Akio, is missing theirs!"

"It's not my choice! I dont want this just as much as you dont! I dont need the media noticing and associating me with you."

"You already are tho-"

"That's irrelevant! Gah- can't you- cant you just ask the police to to do.a search for them, using their secret names? Submit something anonymously?"

Yuki shook her head. "Can't. I'm too known, and it would be weird if I put in a missing report. Plus, people would notice if our people are gone and there's a missinf persons search."

"Greaaaaaaaat." Akio grumbled, looking away before their expression softened. "I'll email you in the morning, and from there we can check if either of the kids have came back. If not, we can move from there."

The hero looked up at her nemesis for a moment before slumping over and nodding. "Okay."

~·~Evening, the next day~·~

"Come on, Akio, where are you?" Yuki paced around the raundevu spot, writing a causal outfit and a cloth facemask.

"Yuki!" The villain's voice rang from Yuki's left, and the hero's head turned quickly.

"There you are! I was starting to think Sulcrum had gotten yo-" the hero's words were cut off by a firm grasp of the wrist and the sound of teleportation.

"Hey! Akio what the-" she exclaimed, fighting for a second before noticing that the two were now positioned on a snow-coated rooftop.

"Shh!" Akio hissed before pointing below. "I was able to hack some cameras and locate some video tapes on the street with not just my kid, but your kid too!"

"What?" Yuki whispered, looking down.

"Yup! It seems they are meeting here, at this restaurant below us." Akio then pointed to two figures below them. "That should be them."

Yuki held up her hands. "Hold up, are you saying our missing people... Are going out on a date??"

Akio's proud face morfed into shocked realisation with those words. "Oh spaghettios... You're right-"
