Water Pillar / Giyu Tomioka
[Rengoku x Reader]
Poor girl.
[Name] opened her eyes. She found herself standing in the middle of an endless lake. A mere few trees circled around her as they were sprouted from the surface of the water. Its roots were circled around her bare feet and the cherry blossoms were outstretched and cast over her head as if they all looked down on her.
Her gaze moved to a woman who stood not too far in front of her. She had a sharp, yet gentle expression; almost like a serious, loving mother. She wore a simple green kimono and her black hair was tied into a low ponytail. Her aura felt so familiar but she couldn’t put her finger on it. However, what really bothered [Name] was that she looked very sad.
As if the woman looked at her in pity.
Who was she?
[name] stepped back instinctively as the woman neared her.
She...
She was crying.
A soft sob bubbled from the mysterious woman’s lips,”Kyojurou has already suffered too much. I wish I could do something to stop it.”
This is his late mom.
[Name] thought, shocked.
[Name] flinched as the woman reached up and touched her face,”You’ve suffered too much. Now you have to suffer more...
When you wake up,
Please remember him.”
She disappeared as the entire sky just turned red. The trees and the flowers had began to rot and multiple hands reached up from the now blackened surface and wrapped themselves around her body. [Name] saw as the hands latched themselves tightly onto her with its mouths. She felt agony when teeth pierced her.
She barely managed a scream as she was yanked into down into the water. Her lungs burned and she panicked. She felt desperation. She felt pain as teeth and nails sunk into her skin. She saw the bubbles rapidly spew from her mouth as she desperately tried to crawl back up towards the surface.
The last thing she saw was that woman watching from the surface with the same saddened look.
“Wake up.”
She opened her eyes.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Muzan Kibutsuji glared in utter disgust as one of his demons brought to him a dead woman.
“Akaza,” His lips curled into a snarl as he eyed the body wrapped in white cloth,” What is this? Why did you bring me this useless corpse.”
The third Upper Moon merely got onto one knee, kneeling in front of the raven-haired demon.
He didn’t dare meet eye contact with his master.
“It is the body of one of the Hashira.”
Akaza felt more uneasy as he felt Muzan Kibutsuji’s glare burn onto him more.
“And what of it? Not only did you kill the wrong Hashira, the demon slayers I asked you to get rid of are still running about. Now,” He took a stride towards the kneeling demon,” Why did you bring me this thing.”
Akaza gulped,” M.. Master, she is not dead.”
This caught Kibutsuji’s interest,” What do you mean she’s not dead?”
Silently, Akaza pulled the white, dirtied sheets off of the Flower Hashira. Kibutsuji couldn’t help admit that he was surprised, nearly amused. This woman had been announced dead, yet here she was.
[Name] was deathly pale. Her gaze was towards the ceiling, nearly hazy. Dried tears were streamed down her cheeks. A few veins around her eyes pulsated. Her wrists and ankles were tightly bound. She had a gag shoved into her mouth. She didn’t move, however, Kibutsuji could tell that she was breathing.
Barely.
Akaza didn’t budge from his spot as he spoke once more,”Some of my blood managed to seep into her wounds when I killed her. I discovered that she was still alive when I unburied her. I was planning to use her against the Flame Hashira—“
“And you will.” Kibutsuji knelt next to [Name]. She looked slowly towards the red-hued demon. She didn’t move nor react as he reached down and pulled the gag from her mouth.
“Aren’t you quite the lucky one. You get one last shot to living your pathetic life.” He pierced her shoulder with his nail. Immediately, her eyes widened and she started to thrash and scream.
She felt as if she was burning inside out. She clawed at her throat as she felt herself suffocate. The last thing she saw was Akaza’s face before blacking out once more.
•••••••••
Kyojurou was absolutely stressed. He constantly paced back and forth, running his fingers through his hair. He didn’t know how to react or how to feel.
His love is dead but went missing.
Ever since [Name]’s body was taken, he didn’t get any sleep and rarely ate. He felt a hand on his shoulder and turned whipped his head around quick, nearly jumping.
It was his master, Ubuyashiki looked at him in discern. He noticed how tired he looked. Kyojirou wasn’t wearing his haori nor was his hair tied in the usual look he wore. Black bags were present under his eyes and they were more bloodshot than ever.
“Rengoku...” All he could do was offer the Flame Hashira a small smile,” I will do what I can to find out what happened to her.”
Immediately, Kyojurou broke. He fell to his knees and cried. He gripped his hair, sobbing and shaking. He moaned [Name]’s name.
Not only did he lose her to death, but her body was also literally stolen. He couldn’t even mourn for her properly. He felt his master kneel down next to him and bring him into a hug.
He only cried even more.
•••••••••
Weeks have passed since [Name] was taken. Missions were carried out as normal, however, the word was given out to keep an eye for any sign of [Name].
To find her whereabouts seemed nearly impossible to the demon slayers since they assumed a demon had dug up her corpse and feasted.
Kyojorou was currently home in his estate. He sat silently across from his father as they ate their dinner. Shinjuro observed his eldest son from the corner of his eye. Kyojurou’s posture seemed slightly sluggish and he wasn’t spouting anything obnoxiously or delightedly as he use too. The badge over his right eye was pretty prominent since it was filled with a few jewels, thanks to the Sound Hashira.
Shinjuro was relieved that his son was still alive, however, he did miss the girl who was always on his arm.
Shinjuro sighed. This was going on for too long. He set his bowl of rice down and looked at his son.
“Just how long are you going to act like this?”
Immediately, Kyojurou straightened his back,” What do you mean, father? I’m perfectly fine!”
“We all miss her, too. But it happened and you need to move on.” Shinjuro stood and made his way next to his son, placing a hand on Kyojurou’s shoulders,”If she’s watching, she wouldn’t want you to be like this any much longer. Take your brother to get some things in the nearby town in the morning to-“
They both jumped when the door to the kitchen slid open loudly. Senjuro, the younger brother, stood at the entrance. He was panting and sweating. A note was clenched his left hand as he used the other to support himself against the door.
“B-Brother! There’s a report!” A crow zoomed passed his head, yelling and frantically flapping his wings.
Shinjuro growled,” You fucking shit with wings, get out of my house!”
The crow squawked as it riled itself into Kyojuro’s hair,” North, north! Nearby! A female demon is seen!”
The men tensed. Without further word, Kyojurou was out the door.
•••••••
It was night as Kyojurou ran after the crow that was leading him towards the demon that was about to terrorize the town he lived nearby. His heart pounded and he was on edge. He hasn’t been in such a serious mission since the death of his love. To make things worst, it was the beginning of the night and he didn’t know what sort of demon he was going against. The crow leads him into a more secluded, forest-like area.
As the bird flew upwards, he stopped.
Crunch.
Munch.
There was a demon feasting close by. On instinct, feeling an old flame spark within him, he ran straight for the sounds. He spotted the demon squatted over a dead man. He unsheathes his sword to quickly chop off the demon’s head.
However, the demon ducked and quickly dove to the side, rolling away from Kyojurou. The demon was fairly small and frail-looking. It had long [hair-color] hair and curled black horns that sat on top of her head. As it looked up, Kyojurou could see gleaming pink hues stand out in the dark. It’s figure barely was illuminated by the moon. Blood trailed down its pale-skinned face, as their lips turned into a nasty sneer. A low growl rumbled from her throat as she stood up, dragging her bloodied claws across the bark of the tree.
Kyojurou narrowed his eyes, holding his sword in the air. He took a stance, waiting to see the demon’s next move.
The demon began to trudge forward, walking towards him.
The Flame Hashira’s gaze started at her feet which stepped into the moonlight, slowly traveling up to see her face.
He froze. He slowly let his arms fall to the side.
“[N-Name]? Is that you?”
No, no.
This can’t be.
Like a wave, many memories rushed through him of her. He remembered all the times they laughed together or when she would always call his name, lovingly. Now, she was right in front of him, growling. He gripped his blade tightly in his hands.
Would he do it?
Can he even do it?
Tears streamed down his face as he silently cried once more.
“[Name], my love... I’m so sorry.” He rushes towards her, holding the blade in the air once more. He rushed towards her with the intent to kill.
Then, an idea came into mind. It was the dumbest idea ever. When he got close, he threw the blade to the side and shoved [Name] down. Immediately, she began to struggle in his grasp and claw at his arms. He hissed in pain, before trying to attempt to pin her arms down. He used his body weight to hold her down.
“[Name]! [Name]!” Kyojurou yelled,”It’s me! Kyojurou!”
She continued to screech and claw at him, loudly growing and hissing. Once more, the Flame Hashira began to cry. He tried and he hoped, but nothing was working. Now, he was stuck holding her down until the sun rose. He didn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to watch her die in his arms once more nor wanted to watch her burn in the sunlight.
He gasped in surprise when [Name] managed to flip him over, with her being on top. She barred her fangs as she tried to dig them into him, however, he struggled back, putting his hands against her shoulders, holding her away from him. He winced when he felt her sharp nails dig into his arms.
“PLEASE REMEMBER ME!”
He felt the demon froze.
[Name] saw the face of the woman in the cherry blossoms like some sort of flashback. Then there was Kyōjurō; she remembered their missions together and the meals they shared.
She remembered everything.
Tears dripped onto his face, but this time, they weren’t his own. He slowly looked up to see [Name] crying. He stared in shock.
The demon immediately got off of him. She sat on the ground, taking a moment to look at her own bloody hands. She brushed her lips with her claws and took a moment to sit in silence. For a moment, her pink eyes seem to flicker and swirl to the similar [eye-color] hues she once use to have.
“What... what am I?” She gasped and looked over to the dead man,”No... No! I’m so sorry!” She cried once more, burying her face in her hands and sobbing.
She slowly looked up towards the Flame Hashira.
“K-Kyojurou, please... Please help me.”
Immediately, he scrambled towards her, gathering up her frame in his arms. He couldn’t believe it. He has her back in his arms. She’s back. He buried his face into her long [hair color] hair, holding her tightly. He stared into a distance as he gently raked his fingers through her hair.
“I’m here, [Name], I’m here.”
He pulled back to see [Name]’s face as reassurance that she was there in front of him. Aside from the blood that was splattered all over her cheeks, she was alive.
But not human.
Kyojurou cupped her cheeks,”My love, what happened? Why are you a demon?”
She immediately leaned into his touch. His hands were so warm as she felt so cold. “The Upper Demon... The third one, Akaza. He dug me up and took me to... Him.” She felt him tense. She continued,”When I died, he gave me some of his blood so I was just barely alive for a few days. Then, he gave me more of his blood and turned me into a demon.” Her expressions twisted into disgust,”And then I...I—“ She looked back at the dead man and began to shake.
She felt Kyojurou’s lips press against her forehead as he squeezed her hand,”It’s okay, it’s not your fault,” He pressed his forehead against her own,”Remember Tanjirou Kamada’s little sister? You may have already done some consuming but if I can convince our Master and our fellow Hashira, we can all try and kill Muzan and make you human once more.”
[Name] glanced over at the dead man’s corpse,”But I... I did that.”
Kyojurou quickly turned her head to face towards him,”That’s not your fault! Muzan Kibutsuji did this to you!” He rested his hands on her shoulders and gave her a stern gaze,”For now, you are going to hide. Hide from the other Hashira or demon slayers. It would be better if you reveal yourself when I’m with you.”
Obviously, Kyojurou felt nervous. He remembered the Hashiras first reaction to a demon that claimed to not hurt humans. He was pretty sure Nezuko Kamado hasn’t harmed anyone yet.
He inwardly cringed. He also remembered that he wanted to decapitate both of them at the first interactions. He was really eating his words now.
[Name] was no special case like Nezuko. She actually did what Demon Slayers despised. He felt his morals scream at him. She killed someone, he had to kill her. But his heart told him to hold her close and never let her go.
“[Name], meet me outside the gates of my village. If you come to close, my father will know you are close, okay?”
She nodded,”But... I’m a demon, what if I eat someone again! What if I run into one of the Upper Moons or the Hashiras—“
“[Name], please! Just trust me, okay? I lost you,” She noticed there was a certain glint in his eye,”I don’t plan on losing you ever again.”

Anime/Manga: Kimetsu no Yaiba Pairing: Genya/fem!Reader Additional tags: violence and blood; a n g s t A/N: my brain: There’s not enough Genya content so go make some– A/N 2: me to myself: Why would you hurt Genya like this, heartless monster?
Summary:
You trust him, you really do. The only person you never trust is yourself. Maybe that’s why his eyes are painted with grief and self-blame.
The demon screeches horribly as your [color] blade detaches one of its arms with a clean slice. You nimbly dodge the counterattack it launches against you, jumping out of harm’s way until you find yourself landing beside Genya. He is quick to fire off two shots at the demon, taking out both of its legs in an instant. Your fellow Demon Slayer is quick to follow-through with a swing of his own nichirin blade, taking the demon’s head and ending one fight before the two of you can proceed to the next.
The second demon makes itself known mere seconds after the first one disintegrates into ashes, and you and Genya are back to fighting for your lives before either of you can check on each other for any injuries.
You lunge forward, blade at the ready, and you swipe at the demon’s neck. Before the color-changing steel can meet its mark, however, the demon’s body dissolved like a vanishing mirage, leaving you open as you try to stop the downward swing of your sword.
“[Name]!” You hear Genya shout, and you feel an arm looping around your waist before you are carried off to safety. The sound of gunshot makes your ears ring, and Genya has already set you on your feet before you can react.
“Are you okay?” he asks you, lavender eyes shining with worry as he risks a glance at you. The demon is cackling somewhere up in the trees, boasting of its Blood Demon Art. You find yourself losing the interest to care for a bit, your focus fixed on stopping the telltale blush from spreading on your cheeks at your companion’s display of speed and strength.
It’s never your intention to fall for Genya, really. But when this cruel world spares you some of its kindness by crossing your paths with the kindest boy you’ve ever known, how can you deny your own heart of its desires?
After this one, you remind yourself, I’ll tell him. He deserves to know – he deserves to be loved.
Genya signals for you to attack, and you follow your heart with a fearsome cry as the demon unleashes an attack of its own. You use the second form of your Breath Style to parry, successfully taking one of the demon’s arms but not enough to reach its neck. You are blindsided, however, when the demon activates its Blood Demon Art yet again and sends you hurtling through the undergrowth with a pained cry.
You can hear Genya shout your name before rushing off to pick up where you left off. Something gets tossed where you lay, and dread fills your stomach when you see that it’s Genya’s gun.
You will yourself to stand despite the pain lancing down your chest. You may have bruised or broken some of your ribs, but you’d be damned if you let anything bad happen to Genya.
You breathe in, sending oxygen to your limbs, and leap into the air while unleashing the fourth form of your Breath Style. The demon dodges, and you stagger on your feet when you land, leaving you open again.
“[Name]!” Genya yells at you, a determined look on his handsome face. “Please trust me!”
The sudden exclamation confuses you, and he is already standing in front of you – ready to shield you with his body – before you can even ask him why.
You trust Genya. Even with your life. You have told him this before, half-jokingly but he knows that you mean it. So why is he–
The kindest, most human boy you’ve ever have the pleasure of meeting is ready to get hurt – to die for you – just to shield you from the pain your common enemy is about to inflict on you.
No.
Time slows as you watch the demon grin maliciously, solidifying only its arm as gravity brings it ever closer to you and Genya.
You don’t know what Genya is planning, what goes in his mind as he stands in front of you, arms spread to shield as much of you as he can.
You trust Genya. Even with your life. But if there is someone whom you never fully trust, it’s yourself.
You are not and will never be prepared to see the person you love the most getting skewered by a demon’s razor-sharp claws. You’ll never be prepared to see him bleed for you. You trust Genya, yes, but you don’t trust yourself – how you’d react and how you’d feel if he ever gets hurt. You know full well what your job as Demon Slayers entailed, but it’s as if you’d known that you’ll fall for your colleague.
Time bounces back to its normal tempo as you knock Genya to the side with your full strength. Red splashes on your vision as the demon swings its arm like a blade, your sword clattering on the ground along with something wet – covered with the sleeve of a haori and the Demon Slayer Corps’ uniform.
“[Name]!”
Genya’s anguished roar is the last thing you hear before your world turns black.
–
You wake up to the sound of rustling curtains and clinking bottles.
On your bedside stands the Insect Hashira, Kocho Shinobu, and one of the little girls from the Butterfly Estate – Sumi. The latter is the first to notice you, and she lets out a surprised gasp upon seeing you staring at the ceiling, still sporting a dazed look from the painkillers they must have administered intravenously in your body.
“Kocho-sama! [Name]-san’s awake!” Sumi exclaims, wringing her hands as the master of the estate turns to look at you with a critical gaze.
“My, my, indeed she is, Sumi-chan,” Shinobu says, the ever-present smile on her face dimming a little when you notice her glance at something on your right. “I think you should go and tell Genya-kun, no? He’s been waiting all day to see her.”
Sumi nods and scrambles out of your room. At the mention of Genya’s name, you fight off the medicine’s effects and tilt your head to look at the Hashira, [color] eyes wide with ill-concealed worry.
“G-Genya-kun,” you croak weakly through your parched throat. “W-Where…?”
“Oh, he’s safe and unharmed, if that’s what you’re about to ask,” Shinobu replies as she sets a bottle on the bedside table. “You, on the other hand–”
Thundering footsteps cut off whatever Shinobu is about to comment, and the door is ripped open by a worried Genya with Sumi right behind him. The way your name falls desperately from his lips makes your heart clench with concern. Why does he sound like that? He’s unharmed, isn’t he? And you’re still alive, so–
“Genya–” you say, only to cut yourself off when you fall back down unceremoniously on the bed with a wince (you’ve forgotten your ribs, darn), your right arm seemingly failing you when you try to prop yourself up–
That’s when you noticed it. Why Sumi has been fidgeting when you wake up, and the way Shinobu’s smile loses a little of its brightness when she looks at something on your right earlier.
Your right arm – from your elbow down, to be precise – is missing. Your sword arm has been reduced to a bandaged stump.
Memories come back rushing to you. The fight with two demons. Genya attempting to shield you with his body after telling asking you to trust him. Knocking him out of harm’s way because you don’t trust yourself, never trusting yourself and how you’d handle it if you see him get hurt – see him bleed and die – for you. The demon cutting off your arm as you pushed Genya down–
“I’m so sorry!” Genya cries, and your heart hurt seeing those lavender eyes painted with grief and self-blame. “Y-You shouldn’t have– I’m s-sorry for getting you hurt!”
You notice the way Shinobu is looking between you and Genya, and anxiety fills your stomach with lead.
“[Name]-chan, do you know how Genya-kun fights demons?”
“I-I should’ve told you!” Genya stresses before you can even ask, more to himself than to anyone else in the room. “It’s my fault… I shouldn’t have been a coward and just told you…!”
He eats demons. He eats demons, and he is granted the ability to heal and regenerate as part of his demonic transformation.
Despite the revelation, however, you never feel like an idiot for sacrificing your dominant hand in your bid to protect him. The only thing you’re angry at yourself for is the fact that you have failed to give Genya your trust when he pleads you for it.
You trust him, but you never trust yourself. And instead of you paying the price for your lack of faith in yourself, you have burdened Genya with the weight of your injury and what it entails instead – adding more to what he is already carrying in his heart.
Saying sorry won’t cut it. Not this time – not with this.
Ah, I’m horrible.

Giyu keeps making me straight so I made this lmao-
Hope you enjoy!
WARNING: Heavy manga spoilers ahead!
The world has never looked so peaceful. The aura that used to emit before Muzan's downfall was horrifying to look at, but you were used to it. This peaceful world you live in is very new to you.
You were sitting on the engawa of your shared home with Giyu, waiting for the sun to rise. You can hardly sleep these past few months. How could you, when you weren't able to save her? You stare down at your hands, its wounds nearly healed. The calluses created from your relentless training and fighting have disappeared. Your hands felt empty. Actually empty. It was where the hilt of your sword belonged.
You hug your knees to your chest. All of this is a good change, yet you reminisced the past where you would attend to your duties as a pillar.
You reminisced the past where everyone was still alive.
~
Giyu had finally woken up, and finds you sitting on the engawa as usual. He doesn't disturb you and just watched you from afar, admiring how your hair swayed lightly to the breeze. In the past, not even once, you let your hair down. It was always tied back neatly. It's a small change that Giyu admired. But it was also a change that he would rather not have, as you've never looked so weak.
~
That day, he's never seen you so vulnerably broken. Tanjiro and Nezuko were together, crying in each other's arms. He has finally turned back to human, with the price of Kanao's sight.
He was desperately finding you, asking anyone he stumbles upon. It was such a sight for others, seeing the usually stoic water pillar to be in tears and in distress. Then he hears you calling his name.
With no second to lose, he starts running despite in pain. He follows the sound of your voice calling out to him. He finally finds you and wrapped his only arm aroud your shoulders, both falling on your knees. An anguished cry escapes your lips as you hugged back. He soon breaks away from you and caressed your cheek as he takes a good look at you. Your face was stained with blood, sweat and tears. Your right eye was scratched and bloodied. You wore a broken expression as all color was drained from your once bright face. It was a painful sight for Giyu, to see the only woman he loves wounded and in pain.
You hug him once again, your head resting on his chest. "I couldn't save her, Giyu! She's gone! Shinobu's gone!!" your breath rasped in your throat.
He rubs your back as he nuzzled his face into your hair. He knew you and Shinobu were such close friends. Because of this reason, he allowed the Insect Pillar to tease him since it always made you laugh. He wasn't the best at making jokes, so he always envied her for making you laugh like that.
Now, she's gone. She's not going to make you laugh anymore. You lost your best friend. And Giyu knows the feeling all too well.
"He should have taken me! I-I should have..."
He cuts you off by hugging you tighter. He won't allow you to say such words. It'll break every part of him. He can't lose you.
He can lose himself, but not you.
~
It was horrible and painful for him. The first few weeks, he has to listen to you cry yourself to sleep. Sometimes, you wouldn't even eat. He honestly didn't know what to do, and it's killing him. After a few months, you stopped crying, as if you've cried your last set of tears already. He accompanies you every week to the Butterfly Estate to visit Kanao, and you still do.
Your right eye has healed, but the [E/C] of your eye was no longer vivid. It was a faded color now, and you're half blind. Giyu thought you looked beautiful, but it was a broken kind of beautiful. He missed your bright smile and eyes as it would make his chest all warm and fuzzy.
He takes a deep breath, and walks over to you. You hear his footsteps and turn to him with a smile.
Giyu wavered every time you smile at him like that.
He hopes to fix that broken smile of yours someday.
He sits beside you and you lean on his shoulder. Your smile quickly fades. After so many weeks, you can feel the familiar sting of hot tears begin to well in your eyes. "I'm sorry..." you said softly, before tears start streaming down your face.
Giyu can hear you sniffle. He adjusts to look at you as he holds your chin, making you look up at him. The sight of his exhausted eyes only made you cry harder.
He was tired of seeing you like this. He's tired of seeing you so weak and miserable. He can't take it anymore. "[Y/N], I should be the one who's sorry."
"I'm sorry for not being there for you. I'm sorry all I could do was hug you and listen to you cry. I don't deserve you, I'm well aware of that. But please let me change that..." he rests his forehead against yours. "Talk to me, [Y/N]. I can't stand seeing you like this."
He wipes away your tears and caressed your cheek. You hold his hand and move to place a gentle kiss on his palm. "I'm sorry as well. I'm sorry for ignoring you. I'm sorry if I was keeping all of this to myself."
You finally look up and kissed his forehead tenderly. "Let's not let their deaths be in vain. Let's be happy in the world they sacrificed their lives to save."
Finally, you smile. A genuine and bright smile that he thought he'll never see again. Your eyes sparkled, wet from the tears. He's never seen you so beautiful. It wasn't a broken kind nor the bright kind.
It was the hopeful kind.
His lips brush against yours as the sun rises. He parts from you, and you giggle. "What's with that dazed look you have?"
Giyu blushed and just hides his face in the crook of your neck. You comb his hair with a satisfied expression. "Shut up."
"I love you too." you smile.
As his face was hidden, he smiles to himself. His heart is beating rapidly at the way you giggled like that.
Someday, he'll make you laugh. It can be tomorrow, the next day after tomorrow - it doesn't matter. He's got all the time in the world, after all.
And he'll do better than that annoying mosquito Shinobu.

The Introduction
GASP.
[Name] [Last Name] woke up to her heart pounding in her chest and the thumping in the back of her head. She noticed how she was laying on the ground. Around her were nearly demolished and chipped columns and pieces of walls scattered around her. At a distance, she could see a rundown barn and flickering light posts scattered all over the terrium.
She slowly sat up. No longer in her demon corps uniform, she was clad in a simple grey cardigan and black shorts.
“Where’s my—“ Her hand went to her side, just to meet with nothing,”Sword...”
She stood up,”I guess the best I can do is try and find a way out of here.”
“AH!”
The terrified cry of a male’s voice pierced through the air, causing [Name] to flinch,”What... What was that?” She immediately ran towards the scream. As she grew closer, she could hear a groans of pain of the man who screamed earlier. When she rounded the corner of a column, she gasped.
She saw a man perched up, a hook curved into his shoulder as he was hung up like some sort of decoration. [Name] stared, shock. When the man looked up, his expression was distasteful, yet terrified.
“You fucking bitch, come here and help me down before it comes back!”
For a second, that comment pissed her off. But, she decided to try and pull him down anyways. With a grunt, she managed to lift his lower body upwards to get the hook pulled away from his shoulder. When she set him down, he groaned in pain once more. He started running in a limped gallop. [Name] didn’t know what to do, besides follow him.
“You said something coming back? What’s coming back?” [Name] asked as she trailed behind the man. When the man stopped behind a large rock and crouched behind it. He shoved a first aid kit into her hands.
“Wrap me first.”
[Name] rolled her eyes, pulling out the white rolled banadages and wrapping in around his shoulder. When she finished, she opened her mouth to ask the same question until the man grabbed her arm and yanked her onto the floor,”Shut up.” He murmured.
All of a sudden, the pounding in [Name]’s heart happened again. She felt herself nearly go into a cardiac attack.
What was going on?
Peering over the rock, she saw someone.
No, something.
It looked like a man. He was wearing a valgar, horrid mask that looked old and muddy. Sharp rows of teeth protruded from where his mouth should be. Where his eyes should be were just empty voids. His skin was ash-black and he wore some sort of strange overalls.
There was another girl who was running away from it as it chased her. She was crying and begging for it to leave her alone, but it just kept getting closer. Blood was dripping from her side as she desperately tried to get away.
[Name] stood up to try and help. At least do something.
But the man grabbed her wrist and shook his head,”If you get caught, it’s over for you.”
[Name] glared at him, angered,”I saved your life, why don’t you help me save her, too? You fucking coward!”
The girl cried as the killer slammed her onto the ground. She whined in pain as it picked her up and sling her over it’s shoulder.
[Name] watched as the killer walked towards a hook that was perched on a wooden column. The killer threw the girl onto the hook, making sure she would be held up by the shoulder. Another screech left her lips.
All of a sudden, large branch-like claws wrapped around the girl. One large one went straight for her chest. [Name] watched the girl struggle. Eventually, the girl lost and the claw dug into her stomach.
[Name] felt her heart drop as she watched the poor girl get lifted into the air and disappear. The pounding in her heart stopped as the killer sauntered to a different direction.
“And the entity claims another victim...” the man next to her murmured.
“What... what was that?”
“The entity. The killer around here tries to get us into those hooks. If you’re on there long enough, the entity will try to kill us. You can’t struggle against it for long. Once you give out, you’re dead.” He lifted his hand to point at a large exit that was at a far distance,”You see that, kid? We have to activate a few generators to open it. But, it will take us a little time to actually open the goddamn door.”
“We can’t just fight back?” [Name] asked, eyeing the premises around them. Where did the killer go?
“Fighting back is just wanting to die, you fucking—“
[Name] felt her heard pound once more.
All of a sudden, her vision went into a rush. She saw the killer appear aside of them. Quick to react, she dove passed the killer and made a run for it. When she ran, she heard the screams of the man once more.
She just had to keep running to escape alive.
Or she’ll die trying.

Are the requests open? I'm pretty new to this so I'm so sorry if I make any stupid mistakes 😅 I wanted to request Kyojuro with a tsukugo that actually saves him from Akaza but gets heavily injured afterwards. His tsukugo and him love each other deeply but neither of them confessed yet. I'm so sorry for asking for so much, if you don't want to write this, you can just ignore this. So sorry 😅😅
[I apologize for the inaccuracy of this fic. I tried my darn hardest to stay away from the train arch manga spoilers so I can react to the upcoming movie blindly, I also made the reader an ice pillar]
Kyojuro Rengoku
Blood trickled down your forehead as Kyojuro coughed the red liquid stuck in his throat. Kyojuro managed to rescue all of the train passengers but Tanjirou,Nezuko,Zenitsu and inosuke were still in danger.
Akaza was overpowering the both of you, Tanjiro felt completely useless and there was only one way you could save everyone’s lives but that is at the risk of your own.
The fight against the upper moon 3 wasnt looking to good. You knew he could crush your bones into millions of pieces at any given moment. You couldn’t afford to stop fighting for even a second. There was no escape, at least, there was no escape for you.
Akaza had managed to overwhelm two very powerful pillars but you had a few special tricks up your sleeves.
If the kids,Kyojuro and yourself had any chance of beating akaza, you wouldnt have pushed your self as much as you did.
Inhaling deeply, concentration completely focused on Akaza , you took a moment to accept your fate as you smiled at your partner.
Memories flooded back, happy ones, sad ones, every moment, you noticed that Kyojuro was there, by your side. You were glad he was here up until your last moments.
Kyojuro wasnt sure of your true intentions, but he wasnt expecting this from you at all.
Ice breathing, First form, blizzard poison Ice shards.
You twisted and turned, dodging Akaza’s attacks as you threw yourself at the demon .extremely sharp icicles pierced Akazas skin, the attack was admirable to Akaza, not only couldn’t he dodge it, the icicles contained some type of poison, which slowed him down noticeably.
. while doing this, you made sure that the kids were in a different train cart as you prepared yourself for your next move. Kyojuro tried to stop you, but you shoved him aside, almost throwing him into the kids embrace.
Ice breathing, twelfth form, crushing glacier.
Slicing the train carts apart, you watched as Kyojuro drifted away from you, a look of sadness and shock donned his face as you incased the train cart that carried akaza and yourself in ice, a thick glacier blocking off all exits.
“I’ll admit, Weak women disgust me, but your different. Self-sacrificing and Strong…"
Kyojuro screamed, he didnt want you to leave him. The loss of you will ruin him. Tanjirou cried, Kyojuro was so beaten, blood cascaded down his forehead, lips and chest, his breathing was unsteady and bones were noticeably crushed.
Kyojuro attempted to get up, run after your cart and save you but even Tanjirou, the naive and heroic boy himself ,held Kyojuro down. Zenitsu grabbed onto Kyojuros other arm while Tanjirou cried out many apologies to you, screaming your name in praise as tears consumed them all.
Kyojuro struggled against the boys, it didnt matter to him that he couldn’t even overpower two non-pillars, all he wanted to do was rescue you. Have you in his arms.
They watched as your cart faded off into the night, the last scene replayed in Kyojuros head like a broken record, Your limp body next to an ice wall drenched in your blood, Kyojuro ceased his struggling. Was this how his father felt? Watching you go, watching you die, almost made life feel so very worthless.
