pairing: Jackie Taylor x r note: I'm not sure what this is either đ¤ˇ
Jackie being a pain in your ass beyond the grave. maybe not getting on with her super well while she was alive, so while her death was sad, it wasnât nearly as emotionally devastating as it was for Shauna or someone else. so when you suddenly start seeing Jackie standing behind Shauna and trying to get her attention as she sobs over Jackieâs corpse, you wonder why you of all people would âhallucinateâ her.
she finally notices you can see her when you canât quite muffle your laugh at some petty comment she makes as the girls start carrying her body off to the meatshed. her eyes immediately narrow in on you while youâre just standing like a deer in the headlights.
just thinking about Shauna out there sobbing and crying in the meatshed with Jackie's corpse while Jackie's screaming in your ear because you wonât respond to her and she knows your ass can see her. at the top of her fucking lungs like a damn toddler. keeps switching into songs that give Crystal and Misty a run for their money on being annoying. holding a pillow over your head and groaning to drown her out, and Lottieâs trying to put a hand on your shoulder to comfort you, thinking it's hunger pain or something.
she doesnât talk as much as she did beforeânot that she ever really talked to you all that much to begin with. Jackie stares after Shauna a lot, following her around and trying fruitlessly to get her to hear her. sheâs quiet a lot now, but if sheâs not at Shaunaâs side, sheâs at yours.Â
you finally give up and start answering her whenever youâre mostly alone, claiming itâs just because youâve accepted that youâre crazy nowâthough itâs mostly because she just looks so damn sad all the time. she brightens up a lot after this, following you like a lost puppy as you find the emptiest corners of the room to sit in. the other girls sometimes catch you talking to yourself, but with how everyone else is doing, they donât bother to be concerned about it.
makes it her mission to annoy you as much as humanly possible, commenting on every little thing youâre doing like sheâs a game show host. if you have to listen to Jackie narrate the way you eat one more time, you might just join her. always finds the worst time to jump out at you, giggling as she makes you look insane for screaming in shock in the middle of the cabin.
Jackie knocks stuff over whenever the other girls start talking shit about Shaunaâs behavior in the meatshed. she doesnât talk a lot about what Shauna does there, but she always looks strangely flattered when she comes back.
keeps you up to date on all the little dramaâs going on in the cabin that you donât witness. thereâs literally no stopping her from eavesdropping on conversations and giving you a play-by-play as they happen. sometimes you just hear a dramatic gasp as her ghostly ass is skipping over to you to tell you about it.
bullies you into giving some of your food to Shauna. Shauna looks at you like youâre crazy but eagerly accepts it all the same. Jackie is standing there looking so proud of herself, like sheâs the one thatâs going to be starving and not you.
you have weird dreams almost every night. they arenât unpleasant, just a little strange. theyâre always about Jackie, always in places you think she wouldâve enjoyed. walking around the mall, passing the ball around on the field, that sort of thing. you donât think much of it until Jackie mentions something in passing one day about it.
guilt trips you into doing things for her all the time. âDo you remember that time you let me go outside and die in the snow?â and then âyeah, thatâs what I thought.â when you roll your eyes and go do it.
thinking about Jackieâs emotions bleeding over onto you. Jackieâs always felt everything so strongly, and this only seems to get worse after sheâs died. you can literally feel her longing so strongly that itâll wake you up in the middle of the night, just to find Jackie staring at you with the softest little look. you arenât sure how to feel about it at first, but itâs better than feeling her grief.
whoâs going to tell the dead girl she canât have a little crush after all? besides, itâs not like youâre uninterested: Jackieâs the prettiest girl youâve ever met. itâs a strange dynamic, but itâs not like either of you have a lot of options out here.
just as possessive, even in death. starts getting incredibly jealous whenever you talk to someone whoâs alive. Natâs asking if youâve seen her headband and the fucking door slams open against the wall. you werenât even aware she could do something like that. you can feel her eyes burning a hole into the back of your head as the whole room starts to get cold if anyone goes near you besides Shauna.
she always tries to touch you, but most of the time you canât feel it. the only time you can is when she gets particularly emotional. a hand closing around your wrist and almost pulling you away when she gets particularly jealous about something, a finger brushing away your tears when you canât help but cry, etc.
Jackie canât really do much else, so she resorts to a lot of compliments. she compliments your three layers of random shirts like it was an actual fashion choice, and you finally have to draw the line. just thinking about Jackie complimenting you and then sitting cross-legged in front of you like âand now me,â all expectant.
Hi! Sorry if this is weird or anything, this is my first time sending an ask lol
But I just finished reading your writing about the singer/influencer reader and omfg I love your brain. Like imagine the reader did a cover of/wrote like spit in my face by ThxSoMch or Cigarette Ahegao by Penelope Scott (love her sm btw-) cause just imagine the GUILTTT
Imagine the Batfam listening to their music and just hearing the bitterness in their voice as they sing âScrewing everything up, doing everything wrong, In my defence I wasnât supposed to be around this long, soâ HGDECANZZKNFBVD
Anyway, I love your writing and I hope you have an absolutely amazing week! Take care of yourself too- drink water, eat some food and try to get some sleep ml <3
Nah anon you're cool. I love reading asks. ALSO credits to Luludelulusramblings, they made the originally made Influencer reader. Batfam belongs to DC as usual. Singer reader post: here
You know, in the Art History year 1901-1904, Picasso started the Blue Period where he only painted in the shades of Blue. It started due to the death of his friend, later his financial struggles, and of course the current state of the society. Blue Period art was so good but so doleful and depressing that no one wants to hang it in their house. Singer! Reader started their career covering mainstream songs, band songs, maybe even vocaloid.Â
Their blue period started months before they planned to leave the manor. It was a simple cover of MARINAâs âAre you satisfied?â A lot of burnt out overachievers ate that cover, even Tim himself. The song is basically the reader questioning the Wayne last name. Sure it was a goldmine to others but to them itâs a ticket to misery. One song cover turned into many song covers, enough to make a long playlist to play at 3 a.m. when youâre about to have a breakdown.Â
The whole playlist? Batfam avoids it because it reminds them of the times they could have been giving you love but they didnât BUT at the same time they canât really avoid it. It became like those guilty pleasures playlist. Damian loves and hates readerâs âThe Family Jewelsâ cover because it reminds him of the fact that he and the reader are basically on the same boat. They were just children who needed attention and love. He got that attention and love immediately because of the whole league of assassins backstory. He wonât admit it but the weight of the role weighs like tonnes of iron on his shoulders.Â
Jason, Bruce and Cigarette Ahegao will roll together so much. That man has twice the amount of trauma Bruce had and his coping mechanism sucks. All the aggressiveness was just a coping mechanism, underneath heâs a man with conflicted feelings and those years of being dead and suddenly being resurrected didnât help. Letâs face it Bruce is a tired man who lives a double life. He's a man who dresses up like as a bat making sure the city is safe but he can't cover all grounds. The neglect on reader was unintentional but neglect is neglect.
Dick with readerâs cover of âStressed outâ by Twenty one pilots, no explanation needed. âThis is me tryingâ by Taylor Swift with Cassandra, Stephanie, and Tim. Cassandra and Stephanie being raised by villains and Tim being an overachiever to have his parentâs attention. His parents being always away and realizing he basically did the same thing to the reader by making them feel invisible.Â
Double guilt if they left the playlist on autoplay and âDaddy issuesâ plays. Any version but I think the original fits the bill. Reader ends their blue period with a cover of Mother Motherâs âBurning Pileâ basically saying âYeah fuck it, itâs over. Iâm burning it, Iâm leaving it, Iâm closing the chapterâ. But to the Batfamily, it meant renewal and turning a new leaf, an invitation to make things better.
Can I please request a yellowjackets fic of platonic Jackie x younger sister reader (sort of like Travis and Javiâs relationship - maybe reader could be friends with Javi too), I donât really have an idea for a plot though maybe some sort of tension and fight w Jackie but then everything is fixed by the end? And reader is like pretty different from Jackie - in typical sister style. Thatâs so unspecific Iâm so sorry I suck at ideas I just crave big sister Jackie (I feel like sheâd be a Nancy wheeler variant) okay ty bye ily

n/a. tysm for ur request <33 at first i wanted to make her an overprotective sister (so that she was kinda like nancy) but i felt like making her bratty fit better with the storyline lmaooo, i hope it's what you were expecting tho :) if not lmk and maybe i can work on a protective sister blurb or something.
"Uno! Take that!" You exclaimed with enthusiasm, celebrating your third victory in the one-on-one game against Javi.
"This is so unfair," Javi said, rolling his eyes. "Let's play again. We're not leaving until I beat your ass." He spoke with determination.
You were grateful that you had packed your Uno deck in your backpack for the trip. Being stuck in a cabin with a bunch of teenagers and having nothing to do except stare at the rooftop for hours turned out to be more boring than you had anticipated.
Since the crash occurred, you and Javi had grown close. While you shared a few classes at school, you had never spoken to him before. But the shared misfortune of being on this trip as guests brought you together â Javi accompanying his dad, the team coach, and you accompanying your older sister, Jackie Taylor, the team captain. Not to mention that both Travis â Javiâs older brother â and Jackie were being assholes.
The initial weeks were challenging, to say the least. Jackie was being extremely annoying â she still is â, constantly bossing you around and disregarding your feelings. It seemed as though she was too absorbed in her own frustrations, always venting about the unfairness of the situation and the social events she was missing out on, like Rutger's rush week and all the frat parties. You knew Jackie didn't mean any harm, but it still bothered you. Additionally, the age gap with everyone being around three years older than you made you feel like an outcast and useless. Thankfully, you and Javi started getting along. You were assigned similar tasks, such as picking berries or fetching water from the lake, since both of you were younger and unable to handle more demanding activities. Thanks to this, you began spending a lot of time together and eventually became very close friends.
"What are you doing?" Javi asked incredulously, his eyebrows furrowing. "You can't play a +2 card after a +4 card," he pointed out.
You were aware that Javi was right, but decided to push back. "Yes, you can. It's literally stated in the instructions," you replied, attempting to gaslight him.
"No, it's not. You're lying," he insisted, firm in his belief.
"Fine, you got me," you admitted, flashing a playful smirk. "I'll take these four cards just so you donât start crying," you teased.
âHa, ha, so funny,â Javi responded with a smile.
Interrupting your playful banter, a voice called out from behind. "Hey, Y/n," Jackie said, grabbing your attention. "Have you seen my red lipstick?"
You let out a sigh as you glanced at your sister. Lately, she had been even more irritating than usual, probably because of the problems she was having with Shauna. Not that you were particularly invested in their drama. But the last thing you wanted was to engage in conversation with her, knowing all too well that it would probably lead to another argument.
"Yeah," you responded casually, briefly glancing away before returning to the game.
"Okay... So, where is it?" Jackie asked, her tone growing slightly impatient.
"I used it to write the S.O.S message on the plane," you replied nonchalantly, as if it were the most obvious thing.
"Wait... What?" Jackie exclaimed, her anger starting to rise. "Why the heck would you do that?â
Rolling your eyes, you replied sarcastically, "Oh, I'm sorry, Jackie. I forgot that packing a sharpie was at the top of our survival essentials checklist in the wilderness."
"You didn't even bother asking me!" she complained, her frustration evident.
"Well, maybe I didn't ask because you're such a self-centred bitch, always whining about missing out on your stupid parties," you retorted, your voice tinged with irritation. "It was the only thing I could find to leave a message for whoever might be searching for us. Stop being such an ass. I mean, you clearly wanna get out of here, dont you? Cooperate a little."
Jackie let out a loud huff, her lips pursed and a deep frown etched on her face as she stormed off, making her way towards the cabin. In her haste, she bumped her shoulder harshly into Van, who was heading to the lake. "Hey! Watch out!" Van exclaimed, her voice filled with surprise and annoyance. She followed Jackie's retreating figure with a confused and perplexed expression before turning back to you. You simply shrugged your shoulders, raised your eyebrows, and nonchalantly returned your focus to the game, leaving Van with a sense of bewilderment.
Javi gazed at you in stunned silence, but he didn't utter a word. After all, if someone could understand you it was him, as he had to deal with Travis. Without saying anything about the previous exchange, both of you chose to brush it off and swiftly changed the topic, resuming the game as if nothing had happened.
Three hours had passed since your argument with Jackie. After playing with Javi for about an hour, you decided to lend a hand to Tai with boiling the dirty pads. Once you finished the task, you stayed there for a while, gossiping with her and Van.
âIâm getting kinda cold, Iâll be right back,â you announced, rising from your spot on the ground and making your way towards the cabin to retrieve a hoodie. They nodded in acknowledgment as you left.
You entered the cabin and opened the shared closet, scanning its contents for your favorite hoodie. Once you found it, you slipped it on and turned around, ready to make your exit. However, Jackie stood there, blocking your path to the door.
You tried to walk past her, but Jackie swiftly reached out and grabbed your arm, preventing your escape.âNope, youâre not leaving. Youâre finally gonna tell me what the heck is going on,â she declared, her arms folded and her stance blocking the door knob.
You hesitated for a moment, contemplating your response. "What are you talking about? Nothing's going on," you insisted, trying to downplay the situation.
Jackie pursed her lips, clearly not convinced. "Okay... Liar," she responded, tilting her head slightly.
You made another attempt to leave, but Jackie swiftly blocked your path with her arm. "No! You've been distant and acting weird for weeks. Not to mention how mean you've been towards me," she argued, her frustration evident.
"Well, what did you expect?" you retorted, your voice laced with exasperation. "Huh? The only thing you've done since we got here is complain and do nothing except act like a child. I'm scared and I miss home too, and the fact that my older sister, the person I should be able to rely on the most, is behaving like a brat, doesn't help me at all, okay?" Tears welled up in your eyes as you spoke, the pain evident in your voice. "I just wish you were more like Tai or Van," you expressed, your voice filled with disappointment. "They take better care of me than you do.â
Jackie's expression softened as she listened to your words, her remorse evident on her face. She let out a deep sigh and her shoulders slumped. "I... I didn't realize," she admitted, her voice heavy with regret. "Shit, I'm so sorry, Y/n," she apologized, her words sincere. Without hesitation, she pulled you into a tight hug, holding you close. "I'm really sorry," she whispered, her voice filled with genuine remorse.
Overwhelmed with emotions, you couldn't hold back the tears any longer. "I'm sorry too, for being a bitch," you confessed, your voice filled with regret. "I just wanted my sister back. I'm so scared, Jackie," you admitted.
Jackie gently pulled away from the hug and tenderly wiped away your tears with her fingers. "I'm scared too, but we'll get through this together, okay?" she reassured you, her voice filled with warmth and determination. "Everything will be okay, I promise," she added, a soft smile gracing her lips. A tear escaped from her own eye, reflecting her sincerity. You nodded in response, feeling a renewed sense of hope and comfort in her words.
You embraced Jackie once again, holding onto her tightly. "I love you, Jackie," you whispered, your voice filled with genuine affection. She reciprocated the sentiment, her voice soft and comforting. "I love you too," she replied, her hand gently caressing your hair.
"But, shit, I just lost 10 bucks," you exclaimed, separating from her with a disappointed expression.
Confused, Jackie asked, "What do you mean?" Her fingers continued to caress the sides of your arms.
"Javi and I made a bet about who had the crappiest older sibling," you explained with a mischievous smile. "You apologized before Travis did to him, so now I owe him 10 bucks."
"Oh my god, I can't believe you," Jackie responded, playfully pinching your side. "And don't ever compare me to Travis. I might be a brat, but he seriously needs professional help with his anger issues," she argued.
You burst into laughter. "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say," you replied with a grin, grabbing her by the arm and dragging her outside with you.

(Might have done some projecting on this one but it is what it is)
⢠Jackie canât cook for shit, she just got take out or ate at Shaunaâs place. That all changed when she met you. She was somewhat of a picky eater so it was a surprise when Jackie actually sat down to try your version of a pot roast and liked it.
âBaby, Iâm gonna make some pollo guisado, you want any?â Y/n asked as she glanced to the living room where Jackie was sitting watching Ferris bueller.
A look of hesitation crossed her face, she liked tacos, barritoâs and quesadillas. She didnât know if she would like this dish but she would try for you. âCan I pick some off of your plate and get some later if I like it?â
With a small chuckle, you nodded in agreement before finishing up the food.
Once done, you took the bowl to the living room and gave it to Jackie to try.
The way her eyes widened and a grin grown in her face was enough to make you smile and walk back to the kitchen to get another bowl, knowing that one was know hers.
⢠Jackie was never close to her parents nor did she have a real relationship with any of her extended family. Imagine her surprise when your family not only welcomed her with open arms, but genuinely like to talk and spend time with her.
âBut yeah, stiles kept teasing Scott until he made us run laps around the lacrosse field for almost half an hour.â You said to your cousin who laughed as he knew how the three of you were, especially during practice.
As your cousin, Danny, talked to you about whatâs been happening in his own life, you couldnât help but glance around until your eyes landed on your beautiful girlfriend.
She was laughing as she talked to your abuelita, Tia, and cousin Sammy. She looked so beautifully comfortable as she talked with the three, an ease to her body language that was never shown around her own parents or family.
⢠Jackie, who sucked at almost every language class thatâs sheâs ever taken, picks up every and any swear word she hears from you. Actually managing to string together legible sentences if mad enough.
Shauna and Jackie were at a party, waiting for you and Jeff to return with their drinks.
Jackie, missing you after being away for almost 10 minutes now, looks around in hopes of setting her eyes on you.
âQuiĂŠn carajo es la pequeĂąa perra que estĂĄ coqueteando con mi novia?â Jackie said through gritted teeth as she glared at the sight of some girl holding onto your arm as you tried to get back to Shauna and Jackie with Jeff close behind you.(translation: who the fuck is the little bitch flirting with my girlfriend.)
Shauna looked at her best friend with wide amused eyes as she heard the clear sentence in Spanish. âDamn girl, whereâd that come from?â
Jackie went to respond but fell silent at the familiar arms wrapping around her waist, Jeff now standing next to his girlfriend Shauna as Jackie leaned into your touch.
âWhatâd we miss?â You chuckled out as you handed Jackie her now full drink while Jeff did the same for Shauna.
âSomeoneâs jealous.â Shauna teased in a sing song tone as Jackie scoffed out her denial.
⢠Jackie wasnât the quietest person, but she also never purposefully got loud. While she loved your family, she didnât love being surrounded by chaotic noise for so long.
Youâve been at your family dinner for about an hour now and all you both could hear was your cousins yelling to one another, the adults talking over one another as they had multiple different conversations, and the younger ones running around and screaming.
Jackie was overwhelmed but didnât want to pull you away from your uncle Ricky.
Thankfully, you had noticed her slightly tense body language as she flinched at two of your cousins running past while screaming bloody murder.
âYou okay, mi amor? Wanna go take a breather for a second.â You asked her softly as your uncle left to talk to his other nieces and nephews.
Shaking her head with some excitement, she stressed out the word with a smile. âPlease.â
â˘Jackie loves parties, always had and always will. She loved going to the parties your family would throw, or the ones that you and your friends had planned. Music was always blearing, talk was constant as well as drinks, food, and games.
Jackie was talking to her Shauna and Lottie at a party you had organized with your cousins for their win, only a few more games till the soccer player would know if her and her girls would make it to nationals.
You were off on the other side of the room, your cousins Maya and Danny beside you as you three took shots and sang along to dtmf by bad bunny.
Your other friends were playing uno against Nat, Van, and Tai. Losing badly and laughing at the playful trash talk being thrown around.
The Taylor girl laughed with Lottie and Shauna when they all saw how Stiles threw down his cards on the table while Scott groaned as Nat yelled out âuno!â With a smirk on her face.
It was chaos, and comfort and all the things she loved about having you in her life. She wouldnât trade it for the world.
Just binge read the Jack x Batsis series, I'm LOVING the dynamic. THEYRE SO CUTE AND THE WAY HE JUST COMPLIES WITH BATSIS IS SO ADORABLE. (Post some more things about them đźđź)

âââ
A smile dawned on the young womenâs face as her friends cheerfully greeted her. (Y/n) Wayne was a popular girl at the University whether it be by her looks, brains, or money she was certainly no idiot. It was her college graduation, a huge day for so many people this year and even bigger for her as her family swore they'd attend. They hadnât gone to anything related to her success since, well, ever! (Y/n) tried not to get bothered by it, brushing it off calmly. She knew her father and brothers were busy people, far to go to every little thing that revolved around her.
This time however, they promised theyâd come. No playing hero, no meetings, no dates, just be a supportive family like she had seen them be. It was the only thing she wished to have, her family there for her and to spend time with her. They had gone to Timâs high school graduation but not hers due to Poison Ivy. They couldnât got to an orchestra concert that she was part of because of a meeting. They didnât even bother to wonder what school (Y/n) had chosen to attend.
Yeah, she was ticked off by it but she understood. Their jobs were important, they saved people, she was part of that people. The world needed them both ways, civilian and hero. (Y/n) didnât have a place in the hero department, she was just an average person that walked the streets and attended school. Her brothers chased villains at night and ran businesses and had jobs in the morning. The only thing (Y/n) had was her looks and her brains, mostly her brains. She would graduate to become better in the medical field, she was going somewhere in life and she was happy about it.
Thatâs why the heartbroken feeling flowed through her as she got her diploma. No one but Alfred was there, she appreciated the fact that he came but the rest of the family had no excuse. She was updated on the news constantly, no attacks in Gotham or anywhere else in the world. The world was quiet and her heart shatttering was the only thing to be heard. A false but well practiced smile came along her face before she walked down the steps.
Alfred watched her sadly, he couldnât believe he was the only one that had arrived. He was the only one to truly have seen the amazing young woman that she was now. Seeing her walk down the steps toward the rest of her class with a false smile made his anger grow. She had never complained about one thing in her whole life except for once, that one time when she complained that Bruce spent to much time doing work with her brothers rather than them all spending time as a family. (Y/n) had been 12 when that happened and her brothers only scowled at her for her words.
Dick was nicer about how he went about it, saying that the world needed them as both civilians and heroes so they didnât have much free time. It was true but they werenât the words that (Y/n) wanted to hear at that moment.
Tim was blunt about it, Alfred tried to blame it on the lack of sleep but neither parties had believed that. He said that she shouldâve joined the group and worked for it rather than whine about it. (Y/n) almost smacked him for that but she kept her control on the situation.
Jason had been thought to be dead but when he heard about it he just gave her pitiful look and told her it was too dangerous and if Bruce wanted her in the tradition then he would have. (Y/n) frowned at him but she had known it was the truth, she told him to no longer pity her before she left the room.
Bruce had just sighed and said theyâd talk about it at another time, they never did.
It was Damian that surprised him, he just nodded at her in understanding. Alfred had later heard two sounds of crying from (Y/n)âs room that night. He left it alone but he had at least hoped Damian would be there to congratulate her.
âCongratulations Miss Wayne,â Alfred said as he wrapped her in a hug as soon as he reunited with her. âIâm so proud of you.â
âThank you, Alfred. Iâm glad you could be here, do you know where the others are?â
The butler saw hope in her eyes, just a small spark but it killed his to extinguish it. âIâm afraid not. Master Bruce hasnât come home from work and neither has Master Tim. Master Dick is at his home. Master Jason is who knows where.â
âAnd Damian?â
âI believe he got caught up at school.â
(Y/n) nodded, that made sense at the very least. Education was important and if Damian missed any of his own sheâd never forgive herself. Yes, she was very aware that her little brother was a Senior and the best in his year who could probably afford to miss a few day but sheâd never let him. It was her other brothers and father that disappointed her, she didnât bother tell Steph about it, the girl was so forgetful at times. Cass was in China so there was no point in calling her from a case to see if she could come.
Alfred watched sadly as the young woman hugged her friends goodbye before they left. She had a family here and now she was leaving it. (Y/n) climbed into the passenger side of the car and looked out of the window as they drove toward Gotham.
When they got home Bruce stood there inside, waiting at the door. âAlfred! There you are! I was worried you might have been kidnapped.â
âI was fine Master Bruce,â Alfred responded, sending a cold look toward the man. âHowever, I have work to do and Miss (Y/n) is here now. Why donât you catch up with her? Lotâs to talk about Iâm sure.â
A small smile graced the femaleâs lips but was replaced by a frown as her father shook her head. âI canât, I have work to do for the League.â
âWhy do you never want to spend time with me?â (Y/n) blurted out loud. She was tired of brushing it off all the time because she herself was brushed off.
Bruce sighed, âItâs not like that. Besides we talk a lot donât we? You know Iâm a busy man, I canât just drop everything because you wish to spend time with me.â
âSo where were you today?â
âWhat? What happened today?â
The (h/c) haired woman rolled her eyes, âYou claim you be there for the people when they need you. Well guess what dad? I needed you today, at my college graduation, the one you promised youâd go to when the only one that had come was Alfred? Well Iâm sorry that I complain about not getting to spend time with my own damned family!
âI hoped that you wouldnât forget or randomly come up as busy but I shouldâve known to never get my hopes up when it comes to you and the rest of my brothers! The only reason why Damian is off the hook is because he had school, you have no excuse. You were never there. Never once. You know nothing but my name.â
âI know lots about you sweetheart.â
âReally? Whatâs my favorite color?â
â(Most hated color).â
(Y/n) shook her head, âItâs (Favorite color). Face it you know nothing about me. I made the mistake of coming back here. Iâm leaving after all my stuff is packed and I say goodbye to Damian and Alfred. Iâm done being brushed off to the side. And for the record, this is my second time complaining about this. Last time was ten years ago.â
With that the woman brushed past her father, taking her packed things from college behind her and toward the bedrooms. She was tired of being brushed off, she was leaving Gotham behind, for good. Now, she just had to see if her little brother wanted to come with her.
Notes: I may make a second part of requested. Tell me how you liked it. This is my first piece of work on tumblr for writing.
Hi may I please make a request? Neglectful Batfam (especially Dick, I don't know if the others would say it) always tell reader something along the line of "I'm sorry, you understand right?" after yet another forgotten promise of family time etc. Reader, genuinely yearning for the Batfam's affection, feels hurt but always tries to understand and makes excuses for them. It's only their best friend, a fellow civilian, who insists over and over again that reader deserves better, that no matter how well-intentioned the Batfam still does neglect reader, etc. One day the two have a huge fight over this and reader's best friend storms off only to be kidnapped by a rogue. Reader gets kidnapped too, but to their horror discovers finds that the rogue *also* has the Batfam and tells reader to choose: Their best friend or their family? While the Batfam takes it for granted that reader would choose them, while reader's best friend despairs that especially after their fight there's no way reader would've... Surprising even their own self, reader turns towards Batfam to say, genuinely apologetic, "I'm sorry, you understand right?"
Bonus the aftermath when the Batfam has successfully freed themselves and goes to confront reader, who's still *genuinely* happy about it but more preoccupied making up with their best friend uwu
Family dinner was scheduled for 7 PM.
You arrived at 6:55 with homemade cookies, wearing the sweater Damian said he liked. The manor was dark. Empty. Again.
A text came through at 7:48.
Dick: âSorry, patrol ran long. Rain check? You understand, right?â
You sat at the dinner table alone, the cookies cooling beside your untouched plate. You did understand. You always did.
Bruce had work. Jason had intel. Tim passed out at his desk. Cass was chasing a lead. And Dickâyour big brother figure, your once-upon-a-time constantâwas off somewhere saving strangers with a grin while forgetting you.
They didnât mean to hurt you. They were heroes. Protecting the city.
You understood⌠right?
Your best friend didnât.
âYou keep letting them walk all over you,â they snapped one night, pacing your bedroom. âYou act like itâs okay just because they say sorry. Itâs not.â
âTheyâre trying,â you defended, voice small.
âNo. Youâre trying. Youâre always the one reaching out. Always the one forgiving. And they just assume youâll wait around like some backup plan. You deserve better, [Y/N]. You deserve someone who puts you first.â
The words stung. Worse than anything the Batfam ever forgot.
And so you yelled. Defensive. Hurt. âTheyâre my family!â
âAnd Iâm not?!â
The silence was louder than the shouting.
Your best friendâs face crumbled, lips trembling with words they refused to say. They grabbed their coat and left.
They didnât even slam the door.
You hadnât spoken since the fight.
And then they went missing.
Reported last seen two nights ago, no signs of struggleâjust gone.
Panic cracked your chest open. You reached out to the Batfam for help. They said they were working on it. That you should rest. That they were close.
You didnât rest.
Then you went missing.
Black bag over your head. Cold cement under your knees. And when the bag was pulled offâ
You werenât alone.
The rogueâa madman with a grudge against Gothamâs capesâhad caged you, your best friend, and the entire Batfam. Their gear had been stripped, the cells lined with suppression tech. They were helpless.
And the rogue? Smiling like a devil.
âOne choice,â he said. âYour best friend or your family. One lives. The other dies. You have sixty seconds.â
Your best friendâs face paled.
âDonât choose me,â they whispered. âYou donât have toâIâm sorry for what I said. I love you, I just⌠I wanted you to see how much youâre worth.â
The Batfam said nothing at first.
Then Dick muttered, âCâmon, kid⌠you know who your real family is.â
Tim nodded solemnly. âWe raised you.â
Jason, gruff: âYouâre one of us.â
Bruce said your name like it was a command.
They all assumed.
Of course youâd choose them.
You turned toward themâquiet, trembling.
And then you smiled, sad and soft.
âIâm sorry,â you said, voice breaking. âYou understand, right?â
They froze.
Your eyes were already on your best friend, who looked like they'd just been punched in the heart.
âYouâre choosing me?â
âIâm saving you,â you whispered. âIâm sorry we fought. Iâm sorry I made you feel second. You never were.â
Tears slipped down their cheeks. They reached for you through the bars. âI thought you hated me.â
âI donât think I could if I tried.â
The rogue cackled. âWhat a twist!â
He didnât get to finish the show. Because a moment later, Bat-tech sparked. Cass had pretended to be unconscious long enough to hack the suppressors. Bruce broke the cell doors. Jason tackled the rogue to the ground with a crunch.
Everyone got out alive.
But something shifted.
The aftermath
The Batfam came to see you the next dayâbloody, bandaged, guilty.
Dick sat beside you, quiet for once.
âI didnât realize how much weâve been⌠neglecting you,â he admitted. âI guess I assumed you'd always be there.â
âI always was,â you said, no bitterness in your tone. âEven when you werenât.â
He flinched.
Bruce looked at you. âYou made the right choice.â
âI know,â you said, smiling as your best friend walked into the room with warm soup and a shy wave.
You lit up. "You're here!"
They blinked. âOf course. I owed you soup.â
You reached for their hand and held it like an anchor.
The Batfam watched from the corner, speechless, as you giggled softly with your best friendâglowing in a way you hadnât around them for a long time.
You werenât angry.
You were just finally choosing you.
And someone who had never once needed to say âyou understand, right?ââbecause they did.
Summary:  âSo,â Jackie trails off sheepishly. âYou, uhâ You know how vampireâs need bloodâŚ?â A/N: the "jackie's a vampire đ" fic in question
âWhat are you being so weird about, Jackie?â You ask finally, getting irritated by her constant glances. She looks surprised, almost as if she truly believed you wouldnât notice. With a roll of your eyes, you lean back on the chair, setting your phone down on her desk as you give her your full attention. Jackie starts fiddling anxiously with her fingers as she glances around the room in a pathetic attempt to feign innocence.
Acting was never her strong suit, expressions always unconvincing and exaggerated; More reminiscent of a cartoon character than a real person. Despite her failure, thereâs still something undeniably charming underneath it all even as Jackieâs awkward energy ends her ruse before it can even begin. While she hasnât succeeded in fooling you sheâs definitely succeeded in getting your attention.
Watching Jackie attempting to shake your attention is bizarre, to say the least. Never once have you seen her shy away from soaking up every bit of approval and attention you give her. Yet she seems almost eager for you to move on to something else which makes you grow more concerned by the second. Youâre filled with a strange mixture of curiosity and unease, both vying for your attention.
âJackie?â You prompt again, smiling invitingly at her as she finally meets your eyes.
She clears her throat awkwardly, fingers resting against her legs as she starts rolling the edge of her shorts back and forth between her fingers. âSo,â Jackie trails off sheepishly. âYou, uhâ You know how vampires need bloodâŚ?â
You nod your head, lips twitching as you suppress your smile. You know exactly where this is heading. âYeah.â
âCould I⌠Could I have some?â Jackie asks, quickly flushing with embarrassment. She watches you closely, hope evident on her face.
âLike⌠from me?â You ask slowly. Unlike Jackie, you were good at feigning innocence.
âYeah. Just like a little bit,â She pleads, gesturing with her hands as she holds her thumb and index finger just barely apart. âYou won't even know it was gone, promise.âÂ
She's utterly fixated on you, staring at your neck like it holds the secrets to the universe. You hum in consideration, enjoying the way Jackie squirms in desperation as you pretend to think it over. After a moment you hold your arm out invitingly toward her and she's across the room and in your lap before you can blink, literally.Â
You forget just how strong and fast she's become, and sometimes you think she does too. The chair rocks dangerously on its back two legs as Jackie slides in your lap. You close your eyes in wait for the inevitable crash but Jackie's reflexes are just fast enough to plant her foot firmly, sending you crashing back forward as the chair settles. It rocks ominously for a second before stilling, Jackie quickly taking the chance to scoot up your legs.Â
Your hands rest loosely on her hips as you try to make sense of what just happened, just a hair too fast for your mind to fully make sense of. You can feel the thrum of your heartbeat in your fingertips as your heart races through your chest. Jackie makes an apologetic noise as she slips her arms between your back and the chair, pulling herself snugly against you.Â
You squeeze her hips in a gentle sign of affection as you slip your hands up the back of her shirt, wrapping your arms tightly around her bare back. If it has the side effect of pulling her shirt up, well that's no one's business but your own. You hear a snort of laughter that you'll know she'll deny laterâ and threaten to tell people about the incident if you don't keep it to yourselfâ which makes you grin as you bury your head into her neck. You breathe in the familiar scent of her perfume, slowly relaxing back against the chair as it calms your racing heart.Â
You bite lightly at her neck, barely grazing the skin before you hear a petulant noise coming from Jackie. âThat's my job,â She complains, slapping at your shoulder as she leans back and pulls her neck out of reach.Â
âOh? Is it?â You tease, a smile splitting your face as you watch her.Â
She nods eagerly, just a hint of her fangs peeking out of her smile. Your eyes narrow at the sight, leaning forward to get a closer look. She practically preens as she widens her smile, clearly appreciating your admiration of her fangs.
You reach up to cup her jaw and Jackie immediately nuzzles her face into your palm as she closes her eyes with a contented noise. You roll your eyes fondly as you end up supporting the weight of her head, adjusting your grip to press your thumb against her lips.
Jackie just barely peeks her eyes open as she presses a kiss against your thumb, the beginning of a question forming on her face. You press your thumb against one of her sharp fangs, sighing quietly as it pierces the skin and draws a drop of blood. You watch her expression closely as her tongue flicks out to taste the blood, teasing at the edge of the cut as she lazily draws the remaining drops in her mouth.
You shudder involuntarily as she swallows, the intimacy of the action catching you off guard. Youâre not sure that youâll ever get used to the sight of her drinking your blood. "Tastes good," Jackie finally says, licking her lips as she pulls away.
Jackieâs gaze flits down to your neck, her eyes filled with longing. She leans forward and inhales deeply as she buries her face into the crook of your neck. Her hand cups the other side as she tilts your head, her warm breath caressing your ear. âPlease?â She whispers, voice a soft plea tinged with her desperation.
Jackie's lips just barely graze your skin, sending shivers down your spine as you feel the gentle pressure from the tips of her fangs. âGo ahead, Jackie,â You say, hissing in surprise as she doesnât hesitate to sink her teeth in. She presses herself impossibly closer to you with a muffled moan, her fingers clenched tightly at your shirt as she greedily sucks at the wound. You thread your fingers loosely through her hair, cradling her head as you relax limply against the chair.Â
âFuck,â You murmur slowly, tilting your head back enticingly as Jackie makes use of the available space. With each drop of blood she takes from you a heady mix of exhilaration and vulnerability washes over you, both intoxicating and unnerving at the same time. Itâs a strange intimacy, a connection borne in the exchange of life; the knowledge that your blood is what sustains her, what gives her the strength she wields over you.Â
It should make you feel weak to be entirely at her mercy, but youâve never felt stronger than you do when Jackie drinks from you. You revel in her desire for you, eagerly embracing the weight of her unending hunger.
You'd majorly psyched yourself out the first time she'd asked this of you, thoughts of her teeth digging into your flesh had left you such a nervous wreck that your hands were visibly shaking as she descended on you. You were pleasantly surprised at just how good it felt once you got past the initial bite. There was barely a difference from Jackie's more possessive moments, intent to mark you up at the slightest sign of interest from someone else. You were sure that it could hurt if she wanted it to, but your girlfriend was steadfastly gentle in everything she did. With her arms wrapped around you, even the act of feeding became an intimate exchange, another bond that only the two of you would ever share.
You take a shaky breath as Jackie drinks her fill, trying your best to ignore her breathy noises of enjoyment in favor of keeping your eyes open. You get more lightheaded the longer she's attached herself to you, her lack of the need for air never more apparent than in these moments. She pulls away as you begin to slump back in the chair, soothing the bite with her tongue as she savors every last drop. You blink wearily up at her, faced with the impossible task of keeping your eyes open.
Jackie stands up happily, watching herself in the mirror over your shoulder as she licks at her thumb and rubs the stray blood off her face. A quiet laugh escapes your lip, more of an exhale than a sound. âMessy,â You murmur with a weak smile on your face.
âShut up,â Jackie defends, pulling on your hand as she tries to coax you to your feet. You let her pull you up, but quickly slump into her arms as your shaky legs betray you. Jackie grunts as she catches you, grunting dramatically in exertion even as she effortlessly guides you back to her bed.
She climbs up excitedly to straddle your lap as you recline back against the pillows. You make a surprised noise as she leans down and kisses you, pulling back after a moment when she realizes you arenât reciprocating. âY/N,â Jackie whines, pouting down at you.Â
You lazily shake your head, not bothering to open your eyes. âToo much,â You accuse weakly.
âDid not,â Jackie protests. âYouâre fine. Look!â She lifts your hand pointedly, staring in dismay as it falls limply back to the bed.
âOh,â She murmurs sheepishly. âThat's⌠Thatâs my bad, really.âÂ
You make a vaguely amused noise in response that turns into a contented sigh as Jackie settles down on top of you. She buries her head in your neck, placing a tender kiss against the bite mark sheâs left as she maneuvers your arms around to wrap around her.
Fandom/TV Show: Yellowjackets (1996). Set pre-plane crash. Based on the Allie scene in the first episode.
Pairing: Jackie x GN!Rival Team!Captain!Reader. (Reader's team are called the 'bears').
Warning: afab/female reader is implied but anyone can read it. Broken/exposed bone. Secret relationship. Enemies (rivals) to lovers. Jackie refers to reader as 'baby'. Sexual innuendo at the end (Natalie makes a comment about Jackie 'dominating' reader, but it's quickly reiterated by Tai, who knows damn well that's not true...top!reader's for the win!). Cussing. Most of the dialogue is from the girls. This was originally a lot longer but I had to cut it, because it wasn't going anywhere and it's been in my drafts for too long, so I might split it and make a pt. 2??

Imagine... Being in a secret relationship with Jackie, your teams rival captain, and when playing against her school, she accidentally let's your relationship slip, when her teammate, Taissa, breaks your leg during a game.
"GO, BEARS!!!" You heard the crowd cheer, as you dribbled the ball down the center of the field, dodging every now and then whenever the opposing team tried to take the ball from you, barreling right past them and causing another round of cheers to drown out the boo's from the other side of the arena. The many supporters that came out to watch your team play, completely immersed and at the edge of their seats. "YES, Y/N!!! GO, GO, GO!!!"
Despite the bubbly feeling that arose in your chest from the crowds support, you felt your resolve falling, the closer you got to the goal, and closer to her. Your eyes catching her hazel ones, and causing you to lose all focus. Completely encapsulated.
For a moment, it was like you were the only two people on that field. Where nobody could touch you and you could be happy, without having to worry about what other people thought of your relationship.
Something you both swore would stay kept behind closed doors until after nationals but as you come back to reality, ready to kick the ball to your teammate closest to the goal, your worries of how the teams would react is suddenly put to the test as the girl in question slaps a hand over mouth, horrified. Unable to look away as one of her teammates attempted to swipe the ball out from under you, only to miss and kick in your ankle instead, sending you barreling forwards into the terf and with your leg snapped in two. The bone exposed.
"AAAAARRRRGHHHH!"
At the sound of a scream so agonizing, it had the neighbors across the street cringing, Jackie shook off her shell-shocked state and ran towards you, her legs working on auto-pilot, "OH MY GOD, TAI!! WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
"I'm sorry, I--I didnt mean to--wait, what the fuck? Are they?..." Tai went to apologize, before freezing, her and everyone else's expression twisting from worry to confusion to one of amusement as their captain dropped to her knees besides you, whispering sweet-nothings the teams picked up to be 'it's okay, baby, I'm here.... we're gonna get you some help' and other things not usually said between 'sworn enemies', such as yourselves, before yelling for the medics to hurry. Indicating, what had been dished out on the field wasn't a hundred percent truthful and all that trash talking, was just for show; the team's deduced, awing as the yellowjackets captain smoothed your hair back, in comfort, before pecking the top of your head.
"Oh, yes, they are..." Natalie smirked, watching as their captain ripped into the medical team for taking as long they did, before assisting you, herself, to the med-bay, completely disregarding their safety protocols. Believing you to be in better hands with her, than their 'incompetent asses', "looks like the field isn't the only place our precious captain has been taking her stress out on, when it comes to dominating the enemy..."
"Pfft, you really need to lay off your mum's stash," Tai scoffed, cringing at the smell of alcohol on the bleached blonde's breath, "because I know damn well, if anyone's doing the 'dominating', it sure as hell ain't Jackie..." She left it at that, a round of 'mhm's' following after.
