VegasPete as Macau's parents incorrect quotes
Macau : I'm home!!
Vegas (in his sexy English accent) : How was school? Are you doing well?
Pete (storming in while yelling in his southern dialect/accent) : B-?? AGAIN?! How do you expect to go to Harvard med school with these grades, huh?
barbie movie is releasing soon & i just remembered an anecdote from my childhood.
i grew up in a conservative town where gender roles & stereotypes were barely questioned. my neighbor was a boy. he was 5. i was 8. he walked into our living room as i was watching the beginning of barbie princess charm school. my grandmother came after a while & asked if he watched barbie & not ben 10.
"omg she's so cool she wiped the tables, cooked & served customers so fast in 10 seconds she's a superhuman!!" he exclaimed & continued watching as long as his attention span of a 5 y/o could take.
misogyny is not inherent. misogyny is taught. understand that.
Beside it being a funny scene, it's just refeshing that women are shown with flaws, that they not always have to be perfect.
might be delu but what if they get married before leaving. Like c'mon this alternate universe will recognize your marriage too ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
Do you ever just go "Life ๐ญ๐๐๐คก๐คฎ"
But then you realise you're a My Day & just "Life ๐๐ฅฐ๐๐๐๐๐"
random day6 gifs because i'm depressed [3/?]
Not to sound nihilistic, but I feel like the best works of fiction with kid protagonists are almost always the ones with a key understanding of how strange, helpless and even kind of crushing childhood can really be, not the ones that see those years as pure innocence and nothing else.

I can't help but wonder if these similarities were intentional.
Let's look at the couples. Both are facing a shared problem. Pat Pran are sick of their controlling parents. Puen Talay are trying to cope with the untimely demise of Joob.
Pran & Talay have a fear of patterns. Pran is afraid of his mother forcefully transferring him again. His high school heartbreak is unhealed. He's afraid that every time he gets close to Pat, fate will split them apart.
Talay has a fear of abandonment. Just a week ago Up & Aou went their separate ways. Puen disappeared entirely. Top it all Fuse & Kita graduated before him. Hardly had Friend Credits re-united when Joob passed away. His fear of abandonment resurfaced.
Pat & Puen themselves didn't have it better. Pat had gotten scolded by his father for prioritising the play over rugby. He also had to cope with his father's betrayal which caused him & Parn to be star crossed lovers.
Puen too was mourning the loss of Joob. The one in whom he saw a maternal figure. Even his own fears were likely to be triggered watching Dol regret holding back from confessing until it was too late.
Puen & Pat exhibited immense strength by not only standing tall, but also by holding their partners from collapsing.
Pat could have simply asked for a break or ended it altogether. Because from the looks of it, they both were financially dependent on their families. Instead of being practical or reckless, Pat asked Pran to run away with him until they could come up with a solution. A solution that would let them continue holding each other's hand.
Puen too, could have done anything. Confessed impulsively, cried or remained silent. He himself was shook & unsure of his fate. Moreover watching Dol regret must have added to his own insecurities. But he mustered up his last ounce of courage & confidence to reassure Talay.
"Can I hug you to sleep all night?" In this case was not "I'm in love with you" or "I will protect you" but rather a reassurance that "I'll still be holding you after you sleep & wake up. I will never disappear on you ever again. I won't abandon you."
"when death// takes my hand// i will hold you with the other// and promise to find you// in every lifetime ~ commitment, rupi kaur, The Sun and Her Flowersโ
PS it's funny is that Talay technically looks like Pat & Puen like Pran in this alternate universe given the casting....like you know what I'm saying right ๐๐
I think it was very smart on Tinn's part to give the garland to the other band during the competition, because not only did it help him keep up the faรงade of friendly-bantering relationship he has going on with Gun, but also helped in boosting Gun and his band's confidence (because of the audience vote). Also, the fact that other contestants would not blame him for "favoritism", since they had seen him interacting with the band before the competition.
Like, the boy knows that he is not that close with Gun to help him in any other way than the whole tsundere thing.
Also, how has Gun not noticed Tinn's crush??? LIKE BOY, he's a blushing mess around you, how have you not noticed???
I want to emphasize that Puen & Talay had a mutual love at first sight moment.
It's not just the physical contact. Talay doesn't idolise Puen as a celebrity, he only meant to keep distance & avoid looking creepy. So he's basically having a "Fuck he's too attractive my heart can't take it" moment.
Puen on the other hand finds Talay cute. Initially he must have assumed Talay as another nervous fan. He's a celebrity. He must have met so many people who tell that they're friends are his fan. He couldn't resist, plus he had to be polite as a public figure. This he accepted the present.
Now for the deciding factor. I want to believe Puen was just being nice. When he told the person who drew the alpaca which looks like a lama must be cute. It could mean one of the 2 things
If your friend drew this, I think it's cute they put in effort to customize it
If you're nervous & using friend as a cover, then you're double cute considering point 1 as well
Just look how he pauses to call Talay cute with an endearing smile when he learns it was he who drew it.
Puen has to keep his distance with a fan but his smile of intense adoration shows he finds Talay charming. Maybe even attractive. And if it was in another world where they were not fan-celebrity he'd want to get to know Talay (WHICH IS PRECISELY WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN AFGSVAVAJW)
This scene is PROOF that Talay is fucking attracted to Puen. He has poise, charm & consistent (from his interaction with the director, he's still as polite as he was at the airport) Puen even tried to communicate & make Talay comfortable when he could've just tried again without having to talk to him.
Talay's repeatedly being put in a situation where the man he's attracted to is being nice to him & has his face literally centimeters away from his own. He's losing it & we're here for it ๐๐ฅฐโ๐ผ
Now for Puen. There was ABSOLUTELY NO need of fixing the hair & makeup of somebody playing dead. Because it's not mentioned that it's some protagonist who NEEDS to look beautiful even in death to evoke pity ๐
Puen got a chance to be near the person he had a fleeting crush on. He's just living his best life by living in the moment & going "OMG I touched my crush, he's so close to my face, he's gorgeous!!" ๐๐๐
Puen is DEFINITELY the one who's whipped more. Just look at him ๐๐๐ค
Because Talay is gleaming with joy on his job offer & it has nothing to do with Puen. In fact, he must be frustrated as it's disrupting his shoot & schedule
But here he goes, smiling to himself seeing his crush be happy & finding it cute.
On an important note, Talay knows it's most likely a celebrity crush & Puen is not someone accessible in his social circle.
But Puen is falling hard for Talay's transparency & overall nervous, awkward behavior & we're living for it.
In conclusion Talay is having a Y/N moment that none of us never had ๐๐ช
From a negative perspective, magenta can promote depression and despair in some, and prevent others from dealing with challenges - it may be just too relaxing for introverts and the chronically depressed.
Being surrounded by too much magenta energy can generate arrogance and bossiness making us feel overwhelmed, irritated, anxious and intolerant.
An excess of magenta energy can be balanced by introducing green into your surroundings.

The way this episode is called "deep magenta" but it's about them finding their spot in a cafรฉ full of green plants. There's no magenta in sight. And this difference and opposite of meaning is what makes it so special.
Throughout this whole episode we see magenta very often. Wether it's the studio Up found or Talay's pants or a flower bouqet, magenta is present. But Puen and Talay find a cafรฉ, their spot to share untold words, that doesn't contain any magenta, not even a shade of it - and that in an episode that hints at one specific color.
Magenta is mostly associated with spring and love. It's a romantic color. Lotus flowers are often magenta - since it's the equivalent to roses here. Green is spring as well but it's more about new beginnings, it's exciting. While magenta establishes the idea of something staying and lasting, green shows the truth of life changing.
Puen and Talay were flirting before, they talked, they laughed, they became close but they would have stayed that way if Puen wouldn't have said "how about we fall in love with each other?" Their relationship takes a turn and it's no longer familiar, it's no longer lasting the way it was. The state their relationship is in is very fragile where every word is fatal.
When they find the cafรฉ, they fall more for each other than they expected. "Will they fall in love?" "I guess so." The cafรฉ marks a turn in how they see each other. It's something new and fresh, thus there is green and not magenta.
It gets more meaningful when Puen hides in the cafรฉ, waiting for Talay with his sad puppy-face. He apologizes which always means a lot in relationships: having the first fight. He talks about what he felt and it's all very new but warm, not weird at all. They even kiss at the spot, so green leaves surrounding them mirrors all the feelings perfectly.
They lost the magenta to step into something green that could turn magenta again when it lasts and stays.
