Who wants me to draw what Morro looks like in my Birdcage fic?
Since I don't have polls, you'll have to reblog. If I get 15 reblogs, I'll draw Morro. If I get 15 likes on top of that, I'll also put out my Morro headcanons for those interested!
How many people at school or in general tried to befriend hellspawn just so they could get to meet the ninja or have the ability to boast about being connected to them through hellspawn? Cause, like, there is no way this won't ever happen.
A lot, unfortunately.
They'd ask all sorts of questions like what the inside of the monastery looks like and whether she can teach them Spinjitzu. (Well she can't. Blame Lloyd for saying she's too young for anything) Cue them later asking what the ninja are really like and whether Kai's hair is actually real. Does Zane need to be charged before battle? Is Nya still with Jay? What does Cole do in his spare time? Why are Lloyd's eyebrows suddenly so different? Is Wu really that old? Are they allowed to come to the monastery?
You'd think getting that amount of attention and interest would be fun for someone that young but it's the opposite actually. It's great at first but starts sucking after a while. No one really cares to ask her about her after she told them she doesn't have Lloyd's powers or anything like that. A conversation with those kids almost always involves someone asking something about her dad or Uncle Zane or Uncle Jay and she gets bored. Speaking of which, what's so interesting about her dad, anyway? He picks his nose, he burns tea—
And then there's this boy who basically worships Kai and all hellspawn's thinking in her head is the last time there was a fire in the courtyard and her Aunt Ni looked like she wanted to murder someone. He says he really wants to meet Kai someday cuz he's cool, and definitely should've been the Green Ninja instead of Lloyd who barely deserved it. As soon as hellspawn heard that she was like: what did u say.
To spare you the details, she got into some *cough* minor trouble — which Lloyd freaked out at because when he was at Darkley's, he was the one being hit and the last thing he wants is for her to end up like one of Gene's goons at the age of only fIVE.
So naturally, he spent at least twenty minutes giving her a whole lecture about why she should never hit others and how wrong it is, causing her to sulk and tell him what the heck happened.
Silence.
Lloyd: He's right.
Hellspawn, blinks: What?
Lloyd: Kai should've been the Green Ninja.
Hellspawn: But—
Lloyd, shrugs: Well he trained, he worked hard — he wanted it a lot more than anyone. I was just some dumb kid that ended up with it. *forces a smile* Destiny's weird, don't you think?
Hellspawn: ...
Later, she finds Kai who's in the middle of sharpening his sword and asks him about it.
Hellspawn bites her lip: Do you still wish it was you?
Uncle Kai, stares at her incredulously: Of course. I could've FIXED Lloyd's whole life—
I'm sorry, but I just cannot take season 7 seriously no matter how hard I try. The writing and dialogue always feel so clunky and boring that I can never truly find myself invested in it. The only positive of this season is the Time Twins, but even they feel messily written at times! The animation also doesn't help at all, it always feels too "glossy", for lack of a better term.
ALSO, I have a deeply rooted hatred for "The Attack", mainly because the way Machia gets the Time Blade is because Lloyd waves them in the air for too long. That makes no sense to me but whatever.
Idk, I wanna hear your guys' opinions on this season actually! Do you guys hate or love it, or are you mixed on it? Let me know! I'd love to hear how you guys view it!
Ok, so i know that we already established that hellspawn hates harumi with a burning passion. But i need more than that.
How is their dynamic?
Does harumi still tries to "connect" with her only for her to retort with an impressive amount of sass for a 4yo? Does she think of how when all of this is over she will bash that brat's head into a wall?
Does hellspawn cling to her daddy's leg and give her death glares in every possible situations? Does she try to prevent any "romantic" moment/chemistry between the two?
And after harumi is revealed and the ritual "failed" is she going "I told you so" to literally everyone? Does she try to comfort lloyd saying stuff like; "you can't be sad because of her daddy thats what she want" or "there are far better possible mommies out there" or maybe even "im pretty sure she snores in her sleep anyway"
And lastly will there ever be a situation (maybe in s16?) That suddenly golden blond hair becomes long platinum braids, eye color becomes one she saw in the mirror every day, and even the scared look on her face became suddenly painfully familiar as harumi watched for mere few seconds as the green ninja's daughter image was replaced with her younger self
I have to say...that this is by far, my favorite ask from you.
I think Harumi would still try to connect with her, even though their dynamic is initially , 'seemingly nice princess tries every possible way to make a wary child as comfortable as possible in her presence' — I'm saving most of the sass for s16, when hellspawn's only sees this woman as a psycho.
But for s8, (at first) it's more like she's clinging to Lloyd's leg looking visibly uncomfortable. She knows that something is off, but she can't tell what. The ninja don't see anything wrong, and neither does Lloyd. Maybe she's shy. Or maybe the princess' makeup is scary. That's probably why she's acting like this.
Then in Dead Man's Squall, we get to see the death glares thing, which Lloyd reprimands her for when they're alone. The other ninja think it's cute because it just looks like she's jealous of the attention the princess is getting. And when Lloyd tries to stand beside Harumi in the control room, hellspawn reaches for his hand. She doesn't like it when her father and the Harumi are alone in the same room and FSM does something feel off.
But fortunately, after Dread on Arrival, Lloyd finally apologizes to her for dismissing her suspicions. We get to see some father-daughter comfort after that but it's mostly hellspawn doing the comforting because her dad just got himself some trust issues and a broken heart.
"And lastly, will there ever be a situation (maybe in s16?) That suddenly golden blonde hair becomes long platinum braids, eye color becomes one she saw in the mirror every day, and even the scared look on her face became suddenly painfully familiar as harumi watched for mere seconds as the green ninja's daughter image was replaced with her younger self."
YOUR MIND. OH DAMN, WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT
To answer that one, there should be. I hate Harumi's redemption arc in crystalized but it would be nice to see this lol — especially because, now that I think of it, hellspawn does look a lot like Harumi. Even though this woman's prepared to make this girl's dad's life a living hell and throttle his midget, I can see this happening. Maybe these two could get into a situation where Harumi has to choose whether to save this child or let her die. Or maybe the Overlord needs her for something — she was created with Lloyd's Golden Power, you know. Gosh, I love this. Thanks for the idea!
an underwordly visit for the wip thing?
An unfinished fic written from pre-pilot Garmadon's pov (after he was banished, of course) and it's just him having a seemingly normal day in the Underworld only for a portal to suddenly open up and spit out two unconscious strangers at his feet.
....yeah. 😅
One of them is none other than our resident Green Ninja — who Garmadon suspects is a student his brother recruited and sent to the Underworld to challenge him, while the other one is a girl around the Green Ninja's age with the most bleached pinned up hair he's ever seen in his life.
And on top of that, there's also something else lying on the ground; an Oni Mask.
So Garm does the obvious. He snaps at the Skulkin to shove these two in a cage and takes the mask for himself to examine it — it's definitely an Oni mask, alright, but how the heck did these two have it?
Some time passes, and he receives news that one of the prisoners has awakened. Hearing this, Garm wastes no time making his way to the Underworld dungeons, and sees the conscious one is none other than the Green Ninja.
Upon seeing him, Lloyd's eyes go wide. Garm is highly confused at this, and just when he is about to make a sarcastic remark about trespassing, Lloyd calls him Father. That completely takes the King of Shadows by surprise, but it doesn't last long, because the next thing that happens is that Garmadon immediately slaps him.
Garm then starts snarling at him for stooping low enough to masquerade as his son, because 1) he hasn't been banished long enough for him to suddenly have an almost adult son and 2) last time he checked, Lloyd had red eyes, not green. It's only then that Lloyd realizes that he time-traveled.
Unfortunately, when he starts asking Garm what year it is, Garm's only thought is that this ninja's screwing with him — which really pisses off our Dark Lord, by the way. After a while, Lloyd starts getting frustrated himself and Harumi wakes up. Garm's just about to snark something at her as well but goes silent once he sees her reaction to him. She looks excited, as though she's just met her idol. Lloyd gets really irritated seeing this and these two get into an argument with Garmadon confusedly watching.
Inside the cage, Lloyd's basically just putting all the blame on Harumi by accusingly saying that she definitely did something with the mask, and now it's her fault his own father doesn't want to believe he's his son. Harumi's just unfazed at this — because technically, she got to meet Garmadon. This infuriates Lloyd even more, and soon, there's nothing other than yelling coming from the cage.
This goes on until Garm himself steps in and barks at them both to stop. The two go silent — which is an absolute relief to Garmadon's eardrums (who can blame him?). Then, he starts asking who they are, and why they have the mask. Lloyd opens his mouth to once again say he's his son only for Harumi to cut him off by saying who she is.
...and after that, I don't know what to add lol.
This one is one of those time-travel fics I promised I would chuck in the No Parties To Crash So Why Not The Past series — but obviously, there's only one fic currently in that thing — so yeah, this one's still depressingly unfinished at that moment.
So, you guys know those cosmetic surgery vids right? The ones plastic surgeons make analysing celebrities? Well, since the ninja technically qualify as celebs-
There are definitely discussions like that about him. Let's just face it, this looks like a whole new person.
I think i've read all the green cousins, spinjitzu brothers and morro + wu fics in Ao3
Me imagining what would happen if they locked all the best fanfic writers of the fandom in a room & made them write a season.
Lloyd and Lord G are my coping mechanism. I'm also on FFNet and AO3 And yeah, I can't draw.
