"You're alone," said his step-mother, a wicked smile on her lips.
"They will come." But Nico wasn't sure.
He walked in, Hazel was in the living room, reading a book, Frank was at his side, sitting straight, in a different chair than Hazel, too nervous.
"Leo and Jason?"
"They will come."
Hazel sighed, patting at his side, where Nico sat, burying his fingers on his tights.
Being in a polyamory relationship was hard, especially when his family mocked him about that, even Hazel, sweet and caring, looked at him weirdly.
"Nico, dad is expecting you, he's in his office."
Bianca was standing, avoiding his eyes, walking away when Nico passed at her side, his heart still aching.
"None of your boys came."
"They're late, Leo is working, soon he will get a patent, the youngest boy getting one."
Nico's voice was angry, the teasing in his father's tone infuriating him, the words dripping venom.
"And Jason, his father still spoiling him? at least Valdez has his own money"
"The scholarship of Jason isn't a gift"
Mr. di Angelo waved, standing from his desk, walking to the dining room, where the rest of the family was waiting.
Thanks to god, only his sisters, father, and step-mother were there, but he was expecting Jason and Leo, the family wouldn't be so mean in their presence.
He could fake an emergency, though, Leo burning something, Jason injured, an imaginary pet dying.
While he considered causing an accident, the doorbell rang, the heart of Nico pumping, he almost ran to open the door, Leo and Jason on the door.
"Sorry, babe, Superman got stuck at the laundry."
Nico hugged Leo, breathing deeply, kissing his jaw, barely crying, feeling safe with his boys.
"Hi, Neeks, I'm really sorry."
Jason was holding a bouquet, a shy smile, bitting the little scar on his face, reaching Nico's hand, interweaving their fingers, kissing them.
"At least you're here."

What so many of you guys fail to realize is that nothing within canon ever states that Sadie is milky pale or blonde, Sadie is explicitly described as having light brown hair.
She is lighter than Carter and Julius to the point where people are visibly surprised to find out that they are related; but she is also known as “the mixed race girl” in school and that is something that makes her stand out. This could obviously be something that she told her classmates, and I think that she did, but it’s highly unlikely that she would be racialized if she didn’t look vaguely like she could be part black.
She can be light enough that people can assume her to be white and still be perceived as a poc by some. Colouring is incredibly persuasive and the combo of light hair and eyes undoubtedly contributes people making baseless assumptions about her heritage.
Annabeth remembered how out of place she felt at school, when the girls talked about their mothers, how all his cousins had mothers, when, in the school family day, she used to be alone, because his father was working.
As a kid, she always dreamed about a family, having a loving mother, someone who will brush her hair, cook the breakfast, take her to school, play with her, help with the homework, Frederick Chase was an busy man, he didn’t have enough time to take good care of a little girl.
Growing, Annabeth’s dreams changed, he stopped dreaming about loving parents, now she was picturing herself as a mother, having kids, raising them, being the mother she always wanted to have, she dreamed about a husband too, a faceless man, loving and caring.
During the college, she dated a lot of boys, but nobody wanted to plan the relation so far, thinking about marriage and kids, Annabeth stopped bringing the topic, smiling and never asking for a stronger compromise, the dream bury on her mind.
In her final years at college, moving with a roommate, a girl named Reyna, she started to think about it again.
Reyna was sweet, waking soon to make breakfast, always asking about Annabeth’s day, dragging the girl to her bed when she fell sleep on her desk, Reyna was so loving and caring, slowly, the faceless man morphed into a girl, someone like Reyna.
“Would you like to have kids?” asked Reyna once, both of them looking at the window, eating ice cream, a summer storm breaking the sky.
“I like the idea of a house with white fences, two or three kids, a dog.”
“Lovely,” Reyna looked at the sky, her eyes wandering on the landscape “I’d be nice to have a family, raise a kid, knowing you will have someone waiting for you, having a home.”
“When I was little, I thought I would marry a man, but know, I only picture a girl, two kids, a big dog, a house I designed, big backyard, something pretty”
“All the things you design are pretty”
Annabeth blushed, avoiding Reyna’s eyes, they stayed in silence, looking at the storm.
They graduate and part ways, in the months before they departure the topic never come up again, Annabeth dated girls and boys, some relations more serious than others, and they idea of Reyna being her lifelong partner faded away.
Years later, more than a decade, they met again, the group of friends they were in college reunited, Annabeth was married with a pretty girl, and they adopted a little boy, she had the house and the dog, big backyard and a room for another kid, her wife was all she wanted and more.
“You know,” she told Reyna when she was leaving “I dreamed about us together.”
“Yeah, me too.”

Jason walked to the Bunker 9, carrying a plate of food, a zippo lighter in one of his pockets, a little bit worried about Leo’s habits, like avoiding sleeping for two or three days and being knock out for twenty hours, or eating just one time at day.
He and Piper made the decision to take turns and check on Leo, sometimes the brothers of Leo did the job, Chiron or Annabeth, but with the months passing, only Piper and Jason keep going, and Harley, but the little boy had more interest in the bunker, and copied the worst habits of Leo, like drinking a lot of caffeine and working, mostly, in underwear.
He lighted the zippo, under the neon paint arrows that Piper painted, to help other campers to know where to put the fire to open the entrance of the bunker.
When the door opened a lot of smoke came out, going to the sky, Leo going outside, his t-shirt with holes and little fires, his pants burned upper his legs, in the middle of his tights, the curly hair a little long, almost covering his eyes, the work belt, thankfully fireproof, has hanging from his hips.
“You’re on fire”
“I got a little distracted” moving his hands, trying to put out his clothes “but Festus is talking”
Jason sat down in the grass, Leo coping him, the two of them with their backs on the stone wall.
“This ship will be amazing”
“The Argo II, we are the new argonauts”
“Why you call the ship like that?”
Leo smiled, while he picked up a burger of the plate.
“You are Jason, you were like a leader in the Roman camp, and you are having a boat, and Perseus doesn’t have a boat in the legends, and, technically, he is form Argos”
“Did you look myths to came up with a name of the boat?”
“I consider calling Leo’s Doom Boat, or Festus’ Boat, Annabeth said it was wise to call it Argo”
