Ever get absolutely blindsided by a fixation
This is the chaos I want to see in a crossover đ¤Š
When Danny said, âYou guys should meet my parents,â the Batkids had collectively paused.
Jason: âArenât those the ones who tried to dissect you?â
Danny: âThey got better.â
Damian: âYou are very casual about attempted vivisection.â
Danny: âWelcome to the Fenton family, baby.â
Dick: âThis canât possibly go wrong.â
Steph: âFamous last words.â
FentonWorks â Amity Park
The Batkids stepped out of the Fenton RV, staring up at the lime green, Frankensteinâd-together house with a giant ectoplasmic turret on top.
Tim whispered, âThat building violates every safety code Iâve ever studied.â
âWhich means itâs perfect,â Jason grinned.
The front door burst open.
âDANNY-BOY!â Jack Fenton roared, charging out in a hazmat suit and hugging Danny so hard he phased to avoid cracked ribs.
âAnd these must be your little friends!â Maddie beamed. âAre they in your ghost hunting club? Vigilante group? Paranormal protection gang?â
Jason: â...Yes.â
Inside the Lab
Dannyâs siblings (by chaos, not blood) stood in awe-slash-terror as Jack proudly showed off the Fenton Arsenalâ˘.
âWeâve got Ecto-Blasters, Specter Snare Cannons, the Ghost Gabber 9000ââ
âThat one doesnât do anything,â Danny stage-whispered. âIt just yells ghost puns.â
ââand of course, my favorite,â Jack said, hefting a glowing, bazooka-sized monstrosity, âThe Fenton Anti-Creep Stickâ˘!â
âCan I hold it?â Jason asked immediately.
Danny: âYou really, really shouldnâtââ
Jack: âYou absolutely can!â
Danny: ââoh god.â
Jason grinned like a kid in a candy store as he hoisted the Anti-Creep Stick and blew a crater in the backyard. âI LOVE YOUR DAD.â
Gift Time
âSo!â Maddie chirped. âWe made each of you a custom ghost-defense item!â
Danny: â...Please be small.â
They were not.
Jason got a pair of twin ecto-revolvers â glowing green, sleek, with ghost-seeking tech embedded in the handles. He was in love.
Tim got a pocket-sized spectral scanner that unfolded into a full laptop. (âIt hacks through dimensions,â Maddie said proudly. Tim nearly cried.)
Damian was gifted a miniaturized spectral scimitar. Jack added, âIt sings your theme song when it powers up!â Damian smiled â a terrifying, sharp little smile.
Steph got an ectoplasm glitter bomb launcher. She immediately set it off in the kitchen. Maddie was delighted.
Dick received ecto-infused grappling hooks that let him swing through walls. He hugged both parents on the spot.
Later That Night
The Batkids lounged on beanbags in Dannyâs room, covered in marshmallow goo from Fenton family sâmores night.
Steph: âYour mom tackled a ghost into the barbecue pit.â
Tim: âYour dad gave me a hug that cracked my ribs.â
Jason (stroking his new guns lovingly): âIâm moving in.â
Danny: âYouâll regret that at 3AM when the fridge starts screaming.â
Damian: âYour father attempted to high-five me. I allowed it. Once.â
Danny snorted. âHeâs gonna cry from happiness later.â
Meanwhile, in the Fenton Kitchen
Maddie sipped her tea. âTheyâre good kids.â
Jack nodded, eyes misty. âDo you think if we adopt them too, we can finally start that Ghost Hero Team I always wanted?â
Maddie smiled. âLetâs give them snacks first.â
Group Chat: [Batfam + Phantom of the Groupchat]
Jason: Can I call your dad Pops?
Danny: ...I literally do not have the power to stop you.
Steph: i want to go back next weekend. ghost dodgeball rematch.
Damian: I defeated the kitchen specter with honor. Fenton called it a âheckinâ good whack.â
Tim: I still donât know how the toaster is haunted.
Dick: Best parents. A+++ would let them arm me again.
Danny: theyâre already building a tank for you.
Bruce: WHAT DO YOU MEAN "A TANK"
Danny: Too late B. Youâre a Fenton by association now đ
When Amity Park left the Infinite Realms it didnât reappear where it had been before, instead it seemed to land in the ocean. Water all around them, a landmass barely on the horizon. Phantom flew to take a look and when he came back told the people of Amity Park that they were not in their universe. He had seen dragons and other creatures that definitely didnât exist on earth.
Amity Park was now an island. Sandy beaches surrounded the once land-locked city and a row of problems arose faster than solutions could be found. They had food in the supermarkets, the mall and some smaller stores, but the fridges and freezers needed electricity. It took the Fentons and a few electricians to find a solution.Â
That was the start of the Fenton Ecto Battery, while the Fentons themselves had already used ecto to power their inventions they now had to find a way to build a battery big enough to power the whole city and then somehow find a way to connect it to the existing lines under the city.Â
There was also the problem of money, while people had money, the bank itself didnât store all of the money in cash. There was no internet or phone service, they were transported into a time before in their minds.Â
âWell, the portal still works, canât we just go back?âÂ
Phantom had to explain that he couldnât transport the whole city, he was already busy using his ice until they had power again. Not to mention that the whole city now knew that Phantom was Fenton. And Danny also helped with the F.E.B.
Tucker and Technus were the ones who took on the problem, they had already been working on multiverse phones, so Tucker and Sam could reach Danny no matter where he was, in the Realms or not.Â
People who had worked outside of Amity Park were forced to find new work inside the city, retirees came back to work to help as well with knowledge how to do jobs without the modern comforts.Â
They were lucky an old man had retired and moved to live with his daughter after a lifetime of building ships. Thanks to him the Amity Parkers actually had a chance at fresh food. Phantom was eventually send out to look for cows, chickens, whatever he would find that could be taken care of for food later on.
The first year was plagued by problems the people had to slowly work out, as well as the struggle of the entire town being heavily liminal due to their three-day-exposure in the Realms. Getting used to people floating suddenly, or phasing into the ground from one step to the next as well as suddenly being a lot stronger and faster were a lot.
The second year slowly worked better, people were used to their new abilities, their new way of life, the ghosts that had attacked them before were now helping them out. Ghostwriter had taken over a big chunk of teaching after he found books about the worldâs history and different cultures.Â
It wasnât until their fifth year, now rather used to this life, that they saw a ship coming their way for the first time. The ship carried with it a diplomatic party. In the years Danny had flown over to the continent again and again, learning about animals, seeing the land that was nearest to theirs and thus had been chosen to talk to the newcomers.Â
When the diplomatic party had been led through the town they were in awe as well as scared. These people lived not far from the most dangerous forest and yet they had incredible technology. Carriages with now animals to draw them, silently rolling or some even flying through the streets. Streets made from one big stone it seemed while living in equally big stone houses. It was this expedition's quest to visit the land behind the forest. They couldnât go through the forest, so they had taken a ship, only to be surprised that an island was on the horizon.
It was risky to change their route to the island instead of around the forest, but it would be best. Either they found new lands, or they found new people to trade with. The king was in a desperate situation while trying to build up a poor kingdom he inherited from his father who had run the country into the ground.Â
The island was big, and on it was a city bigger and taller than anything they had ever seen, the people living on it were not humans, they had glowing eyes, fangs, long ears. Identifiers from elves and demons, yet they didnât own the same coloring of the demons or the lithe statue of the elves.Â
Nothing about this city had prepared them for the person they met to talk to. The people living here could talk in their language in a broken and heavily accented way, but it was made clear that whoever they were to meet was important. So they stared at the big house and strange contraption on top of it, pressing a button and a sound came from inside the house. The door was opened by a tall woman, she invited them in, inside was more colorful than they had ever seen aside from palaces.Â
The house was not big enough for a palace, yet the inside would not lose out in itâs fancy design new to them. The woman told them to wait as she got someone to talk to them, when she reentered the room she was followed by a man even taller than her. Long dark hair braided back, even in the dirty clothes he was wearing and with dirt smeared on him he gave an imposing aura.
âAh, hello.â Of the group of outsiders a man at the front took a step forward and bowed before answering.
âGreetings, we are the delegation of the kingdom of Root. In the name of his majesty king Jovic the first of his name we would like to open trade with your kingdom.â Danny scratched his cheek, making eye contact with Jazz for a moment. She nodded.
âWelcome to Amity Park then, we arenât really a kin-â Jazz smiled as she stepped on his foot.
âI mean⌠Iâm Phantom, High King of the Infinite Realms.âÂ
âIâm Jasmine, his sister.â She turned towards what the group now knew as this islandâs king and started to talk to him in another language they had heard spoken by the people of the island. They seemed to discuss something before Jasmine took out a small device and proceeded to tap her finger on it, before putting it away.
âYou must be tired from the long journey, please follow the guard to your resting quarters. We will talk again tomorrow.â They were led out by the same people who had taken them to their king. When they entered the even taller building they were led to and brought up to a floor filled with doors and given keys with strange symbols on them they were confused.
âThe number on the key belongs to the number on the door.â A young woman said and showed them that the key would only work on the door with the same numbers on them. âSomeone will come and bring you food, they will knock on the door. Rest for today, tomorrow Phantom will send somebody to lead you to the town hall for talks.âÂ
The food they were served later in the day was incredible, spices were used freely as well as meat and a meat-free option. The rooms themselves were fit for a palace and came each with their own bathroom. There was flowing water coming from a pipe above a basin and the tub! Each room had it! They talked together until late in the night, they would need to ask for the technology tomorrow.
More Danny Phantom art ig? Idk. Might as well start drawing my DP x DC art at this point
Bruce: Oh no. Dick: What is it? Bruce: Do you remember Danny Fenton? Dick: The biological son you found out about one year before he turned 18? Yeah, I remember Damian was having an aneurysm. What about him? Bruce: Well, he was willing to get to know me, but he's not looking to replace the man who raised him, so he wanted to do things slowly. I agree and have been watching him from a distance. Dick: Okay? What's the problem then? Bruce: The Court of Owls just took him. Dick: Shit. I'll call the others, we can rescue him as soon- Bruce: No no no you don't understand. Danny is far more dangerous then the Court of Owls. I fear by the time we get there it be too late. Dick: He's going to kill them!? Bruce whispering: Worse. He's going to turn them into Skeletons for his undead army, forever doomed to serve him until those they wronged forgive their souls. Death would be far kinder than what is waiting for the Court Members. Dick: Bruce.....did you sleep with a god again? We told you to stop doing that. Bruce: Actually, Maddie is completely human. Danny, on the other hand, died when he was fourteen, overthrew the previous Ghost King, and now controls the afterworld with far too much energy drinks and internet memes in his system. Dick: You promised this kid would be different Bruce. Bruce: Hey, I have not made him a vigilante. He did that on his own. Plus, he isn't a vigilante now; he's more of a morally compromised trickster god.
God I love unconventional and crack pairings so much đ¤Ł
You know what would be deadass funny. Jack Drake comes back from the dead and in ârevengeâ adopts either Jason as his kid, or Damian or both and Bruce and him have dad offs to who is a better father to their adopted children. They both fail at fatherhood in their own special ways. Anyway 50k slowburn jack/bruce, the robins all end up traumatized because they did not ask to be pulled into this bullshit.
WIP from a DPxDC fic im probably never going to finish, Iâll probably post more art of it but Iâm pretty art blocked rnđĽ˛
Had the idea of ER nurse Danny and ER doc Damian working in the same ER.
Like their the same age but Danny was working there first (bc it takes less time to become a nurse than a Dr) and everyone in the ER loves him. He is the most component nurse theyâve ever had and is always cool, calm and collected even in the most stressful of times. Drs know that if shit hits the fan they can pass any patient thatâs not dying right this second over to Danny and heâll get them sorted all by himself, cracking jokes the whole time to keep everyone else from freaking out.
Then Damian starts working there and heâs basically a no nonsense Danny. Nothing fazes the guy. On his second day there he handled a gun shoot wound, spinal injury, rib fracture and stabbing all within an hour of starting his shift, all on different patients. He gets in, gets shit done and moves on as if he was dealing with a minor problem not 3rd degree burns.
Now these two, despite working at the same hospital, have never met. Bc Danny works the night shift and Damian works the day and every person that works there is so fucking glad thatâs the case bc non of them expect them to get alone. Like Dannyâs all wise cracks and jokes and Damian is all âstop wasting timeâ so even tho theyâre both efficient as fuck, no one expects them to tolerate each other.
Then on the first Halloween Damian works there, every member of staff is on shift bc itâs fucking Gotham and all the staff r just bracing for the inevitable fall out of two unstoppable objects colliding. Only it never happens bc these two get alone like a house on fire. Like yeah normally Damian gets up people goofing off but thatâs bc their not doing work and just wasting time, he sees nothing wrong with Dannyâs jokes bc heâs getting work done while he jokes. Itâs like working with Dick, he honestly finds it a bit reassuring bc if Danny is cracking jokes it canât be that bad. Danny on the other hand is just so glad to have someone else that can keep pace with him. Normally by this time of night heâs juggling 8 to 18 patients on his own with only minimal help from the on shift doctors but now Damian is right there with him and the two r basically tag teaming the hoard of mass casualties that just came in.
Needless to say that night Gotham general was the most efficient hospital on the planet and every doctor and nurse on staff have the horrible realisation that while they had mentally prepared for these two fighting, they hadnât prepared for the fucking hurricane these two form when they get alone. ďżź
I don't even know exactly how long this takes, but I'm actually pretty proud of the painting
I donât know if anyoneâs made this joke yet
He'd tried to use a damaged Zeta after a particularly big fight, and found himself...wherever he is.
He clearly isn't on Earth anymore. He's fairly certain he isn't in his dimension anymore. He's about 60% sure he isn't even in reality anymore.
Cautious, he starts to explore this strange land, rappelling from floating island to floating island.
He gets trapped on one of the islands, owned by a very overexcited girl his own age. She has white hair and green eyes, her name is Dani, and she is very clearly lonely.
Dani tells him this is the Infinite Realms. Dani tells him he is a guest in her island.
Dani tells him that he can't leave until she lets him, per The Rules.
While she can float on and off the island, Damian cannot. The only reason he was able to land on the island at all, on her island at all, was because the floating island he was on had been passing hers by.
And that rarely happens.
And Dani is not inclined to let him leave.
To be fair, he is treated very well for a prisoner that isn't a prisoner. He can go wherever he wants on the island, he can eat whatever is prepared and ready, he has access to clothing both simple and extravagant...really, the only thing he isn't allowed to do is leave.
He can't attack Dani, because his weapons don't work on her. He can't attack her with a weapon made from his surroundings, because if he does that, then he really will be stuck.
Plus, he would feel...bad. Dani is, again, clearly a lonely...whatever her species is. She thinks he's her friend, for all that she only shows up on the island sporadically.
He isn't allowed to leave Dani's Haunt, and were he free, perhaps he too would view her as a friend.
As it stands, he can only see her as his warden.
After seven years of arguments and shouting and cold shoulders and mental breakdowns, she finally matures enough to see from his perspective, and steals him a metal ship specifically meant for roaming the Infinite Realms. She also grants him weapons meant to take on beings like her.
She has stolen seven years of his life, and Damian hates that he can't hate her for it.
After all, from what he can tell, her species ages slower than his does, and she's just a child who hasn't aged once in the seven years he's known her.
But he has.
He leaves her island, and finds himself hailed from other people like him on another island. They're...sort of glowing? But not really. Not like Dani was.
And Damian is curious. He goes to take a look.
It's some other humans, like him. They've been trapped on an island that, although it is built upon, does not appear to have an owner, or the owner never shows their face.
Damian lets them aboard his ship, because if he's leaving he's taking these other trapped humans with him. Their names are Kwan, Dash, Dale, Paulina, and their apparent leader, Valerie.
What follows is hell.
Not because of them, but because their island wasn't as abandoned as they thought. There was a being, like Dani, that lived on it. Older than her, this being had white hair and green eyes, and very much looked like it could be related to her.
The being attacked him, trying to get to the humans behind him, and Damian...well, Damian fought back, with the help of Valerie.
But Damian landed the final blow, after severely underestimating how strong one of the weapons Dani gave him was.
Damian won after blasting a hole through the being's chest.
This...was a mistake.
That being was, apparently, the son of the Tyrant of the Infinite Realms; Pariah Dark.
That being was the High Prince.
Damian finds himself hunted, with denizens of the Realms refusing to help him once they learn who's ire he's earned, and suffers.
He's given an artifact that will point them to a natural Portal back to Gotham, his Gotham, and Kwan and Dash accidentally break it. The ghost that granted them the artifact refuses to gift another, realizing they are Hunted by Pariah Dark.
He runs into a group of glowing green blobs that try to eat his new friends, severely damaging the ship.
They get stranded on an island owned by a being called Undergrowth, where Kwan and Paulina get eaten by and turned into plants.
Thus, Damian traded a year of servitude to change them back into human, and was trapped for yet another year.
They leave and skirt by the island owned by some sort of blue-haired siren denizen, only to get into a fight with the Realms version of a Warden, losing Dash and Paulina in the fight.
Damian, deadset on getting back home, told everyone there would be no more stops, but was overridden at the sight of a gorgeous jungle island.
That island belonged to a being called Skulker, and Valerie made a grave mistake by hunting on of Skulker's prey while on the island.
The ship is destroyed in Skulker's rampage, and all three of the human's he'd been fighting so desperately to save were lost. Damian, desperate not to fall, ended up grabbing onto a very small floating island, more of a rock, before falling off of it after an indeterminate amount of time.
Damian is, once again, alone.
Damian is, once again, on Dani's island, where he landed after falling.
He's right back where he started.
But Dani, after expressing nothing but joy at seeing him again, comes back to her senses.
She gets another being from the Realms, one by the name of Clockwork.
Clockwork, who tells him something he'd been deliberately not thinking about.
He's been trapped in the Infinite Realms for twenty years.
There's no telling how much he's missed, but from the brief flash of what Clockwork showed him, his assumed death was not well-received.
But Clockwork makes a bargain with him.
Clockwork will return Damian to his own time, altering it so that it's only been a few weeks, so long as Damian dismantles something called the GIW.
The catch is that Clockwork can only deage his body so much, and Damian will be going back as an 18 year old; seven years older than he was when he left.
Damian, desperate, agrees.
Clockwork reaches out his hand...and Damian wakes up on a rooftop, in a younger body, dressed in regal robes from Dani's island.
The robes are a message; that it was not a feverdream.
If Damian wants to stay in Gotham, in his home dimension, he needs to take down the GIW as soon as possible.
Or; Damian is Odysseus in DCxDP version of the Odyssey. Danny is adopted by Pariah Dark, and when he got defeated in combat by Damian Pariah took it personally. Danny recovered with the help of the Yetis, and has been hunting down and rescuing Dash, Kwan, Dale, Valerie, and Paulina, who fell into the Infinite Realms after trying to get involved in a play fight between Danny and Wulf. Every time they fell or got captured, Danny was right there getting them out. He was one step behind them the entire time. Dani does age, but her island is in a weird time area of the Zone, so it hasn't been years for her, and she thought Damian had a weird disease that made him age super fast, hence why she didn't want him to leave; she wanted to find a cure. Clockwork didn't like the timeline left by Damian disappearing for twenty years, and needs a cover to send Damian back, hence the deal. Why should Jon be the only one who gets a weird age up that takes place in a few weeks? Lets let them have a shared experience.
