As everyone proceed to the next department, the little white squirrel followed the crowd, as usual, in the back.
Miss Cake was grateful that, by some miracle, noone seemed to get hurt by the stairs. Well, at least badly. Some seemed to trip but otherwise looked okay.
She curiously glanced around the crowd.
"So many unique people here..." — she thought.
As she observed the crowd, she noticed a white and purple-blue person, keeping to themselves but looking around with excitement too.
( @alelathedragon )
"Ah, it's them again". Seeing how they were alone and still didn't interact with anyone, the little squirrel felt a sense of familiarity. In a way, she was, herself, a social ghost in some sense. Always among the crowd, but never standing out. Well, at least she was having fun without bothering anyone. "... Should I talk to them?" — she tilted her head.
At some point Nira noticed her Boss vanishing somewhere and reappearing with a familiar little tv-headed creature. Ah, Animsay, was it? The head of the.... Ah, Social Media Department, right! Man, she really ought to memorise some of the important people who worked here, heh (´-﹏-`;).
When everyone arrived at the Film department Nira suddenly noticed someone tripping at the last step of yet another, but less deadly flight of stairs.
( @leirom71000 )
She quickly moved to help them but noticed that the blonde girl got up, dusted herself off and overall seemed fine. The squirrel sighed with relief. She decided to continue on with the crowd. But maybe she should check on the girl, just in case.
Because Nira rarely got out of her Health Department office, she was kind of participating in the tour too, listening to Boss and the crew, taking in the information with interest.
When the crew members were done introducing themselves and and the crowd dispersed in various directions, Nira decided to briefly go to the kitchen and fill up her small water bottle that she always kept at herself.
As she entered the kitchen she saw a familiar figure with horns and striking red ribbons around.
( @grinnames )
Grinnames, as she remembered. That one weird gal. The one that wanted to....eat...the fanmail...? Okay, nevermind. Weird. But funny, in some way.
As the healthcare employee moved to the kitchen counter and proceeded to fill up her bottle, she observed Grinnames putting something in the crew's fridge-... Wait- was that even allowed?? Huh??
She wanted to stop her and ask what she was doing, but anxiety got better of her. Oh well. The white squirrel finished with her bottle and moved to head out of the kitchen, thinking on her way about how many people with food poisoning she would possibly get in her office soon...
At some point while walking, she daydreamed about what if the tour visited her department. Well, It's remote and not that interesting. But the office she worked at was nicely decorated, with hung-up stars and posters and even some plushies around. The majority of employees who visited her office said they liked the place. It brought a sense of whimsy and piece to them, which Nira was only happy to hear.
Suddenly, something snapped her out of her thoughts.
Her medic senses were tingling...
Quickly looking around, she noticed a familiar figure that caught her attention .
( @runrabitrunrunrun )
It was the delivery girl. She seemed to storm off in the side of the crowd. But something felt off...
A concerned expression fell on her face. Looking around the crowd, she thought of what to do... Leave her post? She anxiously thought to herself. "You know what? No!" Screw it, her job was to make sure everyone on the tour was alright, even the employees, and like heck she was going to ignore someone suffering!
Swiftly, Nira moved through the crowd, silently and unnoticed, smoothly avoiding people and keeping track of Nick's directions.
For a moment she lost sight of her. Nira worriedly looked around and then saw the bathroom door.
She approached it slowly, carefully twisting the handle. Locked.
"Well, crap. What to do, what to do..."
She looked around when a glint of metal up ahead caught her eye. The ventilation shaft.
"A-ha!" — with a silent triumph the squirrel climbed up the shaft and expertly moved through it.
There was a thumping sound inside the bathroom before something fell Infront of Nicknack with a loud CLANK and thud.
Before the girl with a heart-shaped eye patch sat a white squirrel, holding onto her head and huffing from dust. Her eyes noticed Nick, sitting at the floor and gripping her legs tightly. Awkward silence followed.
—Uhhh... Hi! Are you...okay? — the squirrel asked timidly with a tentative smile, hand behind her head still.
She is ready to offer her help. What would happen next?
And that's the part! Again, if you want to interact with Nira - feel free to comment/tag/DM!
(not forcing tho! :)

Usually it was Maison who kept bumping into you, but this time it was the other way around. Whether it was his new leopard shirt with a beautiful, pleasant to the touch tie that he had been wearing, it seemed, since your last meeting, but the REALTOR emanated a strange, completely spring-like aura. He seemed to look much fresher than usual. Today, it seems, was his day off, otherwise how to explain the fact that he did not notice you? As if you were simply not nearby.
But here he is. In a small restaurant, on an open-air terrace. He frowns, drums his fingers on the table and looks at the menu with great puzzlement. You seem to have a couple of hours in your schedule to sit down with him and talk. Or try to escape, because his watchful gaze was now directed invitingly and slyly right at you.
(A/N: please keep in mind that the dialogue responses may have writing mistakes and vary in quality and length, because they were written on the spot by two people, in different time spans and moodsets :)
(Also my English skills aren't the best lol)
The brown-haired girl was a little taken aback by the fact that some stranger was staring at her. She looked at him and didn't know what to do.
In turn, the stranger put the menu on the table and slowly walked up to her.
— Good afternoon, — he smiled, and this smile looked like it was selling. Absolutely predatory and, it seemed, too self-confident. — You look confused. Have we crossed paths anywhere by any chance?
The man looked at the girl closely. Realizing that she didn't look like any of his customers, he chuckled.
— Then allow me to introduce myself. Maison Talo. REALTOR #1 in the entire Uncanny Valley! — This phrase sounded clear, as if it had been prepared in advance. Despite the creepy appearance and no less creepy aura around this man, he instilled an odd feeling of security.
— Oh, um. Hello! I'm Nira Cake. Nice to meet you, — the girl extended her hand. "I read somewhere that ladies should extend their hand first when meeting. Oh, I hope I'm doing this right (;ŏ﹏ŏ)" — she thought uncertainly.
The REALTOR thoughtfully examines the palm extended to him and, after a while, decides to shake it carefully. Maison's palm was sinewy and bony to the touch, but... warm. Strangely warm. And the texture of the skin is somehow strange, similar to a fresh leaf of a tree.
— I see, I see, you are looking for a place that you can rightfully call your own, — his sly gaze jumps across her face. — Well, in that case, I am at your service. I will help you find the house of your dreams TODAY.
The girl's eyebrows rose slightly. What an unexpected offer.
— Oh, thank you, but... I kind of already have a house, she said, puzzled.
Maison's gaze didn't change. He thought for a moment about what to say to that.
— It's really good. I picked it out perfectly for you,— he continued his previous sentence, seemingly not listening to her words at all.
"How could he have picked something out already?" — the girl wondered.
With an apologetic smile she said: — Oh, I don't think either I or my wallet are ready for such a big change as buying a whole HOUSE.
— The price is not a problem, it will pleasantly surprise you, — did he just wink at her? — Maybe... Until you decide, you can just... Keep me company?
He took a business card out of his pocket.
— And you can always call me. After all, I am sure that you will definitely be interested in my offer.
The young lady took the offered business card from his hand.
She thought for a moment.
His offer was unexpected for her. The first day in the city, and already a new acquaintance. But... On the other hand...
It wasn't a bad thing, right? When else can an insecure introvert get a chance to meet someone, and especially on the very first day. All the more so since the gentleman seemed like a nice (if a strange) person.
With this thought, the girl smiled slightly and looked at Maison, — Um... Okay, why not?
— Wonderful, — his eyes sparkled with a sly twinkle. Maison nodded towards his table. — Shall we sit down? If you like something from the menu, I am ready to pay for our lunch. After all, dear byers are extremely, extremely important to me.
— Oh, what are you saying, there's no need, really! 😅 — the girl was embarrassed. Of course, it was nice that she was taken care after, but for a first meeting it was rather awkward for her.
She followed Maison.
— Dear byer, money is not a problem for me. Please sit down, — he moved one of the chairs so that the girl could sit down more comfortably. Then he got to the opposite seat and raised his hand, waiting for the waiter to bring another menu. — And our wonderful meeting should be celebrated, right?
— Well, if you insist... (-﹏-;) — she said uncertainly. The girl still felt a little awkward. But she was honestly grateful. "I'll have to thank him somehow" — she thought decisively, already thinking about a possible gift for the future (° ~ ° ~).
The waiter soon came, there were not many people here, after all, the veranda was under the open sky, and in the spring it can be too cool for many.
The menu was soon on the table. The restaurant, it turned out, served mostly meat dishes, wine, and grilled vegetables. Yes, there were desserts and soft drinks. But the place looked like one where you usually go on dates.
The girl took the menu and began to look through. Her attention was drawn to a pasta carbonara, which she decided to choose. And a cup of latte as well.
Maison ordered a rare steak, a fish burger and a glass of red dessert wine. The waiter, who had been standing nearby, wrote down the order and disappeared towards the kitchen.
— And why did you decide to move here, dear byer? — Maison tilted his head to the side with interest. — What interested you so much in our town?
The girl looked at him and began her story, hesitantly at first, but then gathering enthusiasm.
— I, um. I was looking for a job. You see, I’m a vet and I want to help animals. There were vacancies in my city, of course, but... This town caught my attention. When I found out that there were very few veterinary specialists here... It upset me, — the girl sighed. — Then I decided that I would work here, because even in small towns there should be someone who cares about pets. — The brown-haired girl looked confidently into Maison’s eyes. They sparkled with stars of determination and sincere intentions.
— Oh, so you're a veterinarian, — his eyes smiled calmly at her. Maison was genuinely interested in the buyer and carefully studied everything she was saying. — Do you plan to work privately or in a clinic? If privately, then... I apologize for reducing everything to my work, but you would need a place to receive clients. And a house is perfect for this. Also the location is good, and the layout is convenient... Maybe, in addition to that low price, I can also get a discount for you and your dream... I just genuinely would like to help. You... It seems that you really are passionate about your business!
— Oh, thank you very much — the girl sheepishly looked away from the compliment — But I'm definitely not ready to open my own clinic yet. It's... it's a big responsibility after all. Maybe sometime in the future — she looked wistfully to the side at the landscape of the spring city.
— My offer will always stand, — the REALTOR politely nods and folds his hands into a lock.
After which he looks thoughtfully at his own fingers and frowns slightly, but his face immediately returns to a neutral expression.
— Dear byer, tell me, do you... Deal with exotic species of animals? Or... plants? I can't say exactly how to classify this creature.
— Oh, of course! — stars lit up in the girl's eyes, and a joyful smile appeared on her face — I like unusual species. Although I don't have much experience working with them, I always get excited when I see someone other than dogs or cats among pets. As for plants... I'm not a florist, of course, but I think that exotic plants are pretty cool — she added.
— You didn't quite get me, — a soft smile fell on his face. — I mean, the creature which would need qualified help... It's like a plant and an animal at the same time. Do you understand?
The girl stared at him with surprised eyes. — An animal, and... a plant?... — her face remained in thoughtful bewilderment. — But how could this be? I... have never met anything like this. How can a creature belong to both the Plantae and Animalia kingdoms? Well, except for mushrooms, of course. Hmmmm... — the girl put her hand to her chin. She thought seriously. This violated the laws of biology she knew, but...
— But if such a creature really existed... — she looked up at Maison, full of determination and inspiration, — I would gladly do everything to help such a marvel.
The REALTOR's eyes widened, somewhat confused. He cleared his throat, looking around. He had clearly not expected such enthusiasm. But he immediately returned the calm smile to his face.
— You see... It's... It's very difficult to explain, and what I'm about to tell you may probably shock you. But if you're actually ready to help, I... I hope you're someone who can be trusted.
The girl looked at him with slight bewilderment.
— Of course, whatever you ask. I'm always ready to help. — She said and smiled slightly. Even though this man in red was... not the most ordinary person she had ever met in her life, his words intrigued the young lady. Moreover, what happiness it was to find a client on her first day in a new, unfamiliar city! This could not help but light a spark of joy in her heart.
— You see... Ahem... — he looked around and froze when the waiter brought their food. He remained silent until the boy left, taking the menu with him. — It will be easier for you to see it for yourself and see if you can handle it. Still... The creature is quite large, and you may get a little frightened.
— Wait… You mean to tell me… It actually does exist?... — she froze, the girl's eyes widened to the point of impossibility, her heart trembled either from fear or from indescribable delight.
— Yes. And I... I mean... This creature needs medical help. Minor, really. But I can't tell you more.
— Well, I... I don't know what to say, I... Of course I’ll help!
— Wonderful... Wonderful. In that case, — he handed the girl a business card. — Call me tomorrow. We'll arrange a meeting. Maison raised his hand and asked the waiter to pack the food for take-away. Then he politely nodded to the girl and, having said goodbye, and disappeared into the distance.
And yet, the meeting with him will take place again.
The young girl took the business card and with a polite smile said goodbye to her new mysterious acquaintance. She stayed in the restaurant to have dinner, looking at the spring city and the people passing by, thinking about the past unusual meeting. After a pleasant dinner, she left the restaurant and headed towards her new home, with hidden enthusiasm thinking about what tomorrow would bring for her.
And with that, the first part is done! 😁 Thank you @varian-the-alchemy-boi for helping me come up with a name for these series. Next part will be in a few days! <3
Today I bring to you... this little guy!
Made him for one of my dear friends as an early birthday gift. Kinda struggled with the white parts on his face and chest as they were not included in the original crocheting scheme, so I had to improvise to get him looking like my friend's profile pic.
In the end, my friend really liked it, so it was all worth it :) Glad to make him very happy 🥰
Take it guys
