chicken jockey being the last possible 4chan post is fucking hilarious but there's so many amounts of comedic irony to it.
it's like a tyrant dying from falling over a medium sized brick wall. humiliating end.
Person thinks trans men can’t reclaim “tranny”?
Wow, that’s stupid. Block ‘em.
Some asshole believes that trans men are uniquely misogynistic or privileged or whatever fun discourse buzzword they’re using today?
Their prejudice is not your problem. Block ‘em.
Random blogger says trans men don’t experience (insert common form of transphobia here)?
Don’t try to prove them wrong by sharing details of your trauma. Just block ‘em.
The worst offenders aren’t going to change. They’re not going to listen to you, or engage in a good-faith debate. Speaking from experience, showing them any vulnerability will just result in it being used against you.
It’s sad, but these people are stuck in a discourse tar-pit that makes them see their trans siblings as enemies. They have to pull themselves out; they won’t hear a word you say, not when they’ve already made up their minds about you.
Don’t give them a platform. Don’t waste your time and energy on bad-faith arguments. Spend it with people who don’t make misunderstanding you their favorite hobby.
Make sure you've blocked fite-club/rittz. Like half of the inane discourse yapping goes away when you do, it's great.
I don't usually reblog from people who want to "debate" the existence of transandrophobia or dismiss the issues trans men face because I think it's more important to center transmasc/trans men's voices in this conversation.
But this is a reminder that if I DO engage with someone like that on here, DO NOT harass them! Also, don't try to argue with someone who's committed to seeing everything you say in the worst possible light. Just block and move on.
Don’t a let a little thing like being a boy keep you from being a girl
Advocacy takes a ton of bravery and energy, and it can be extremely draining to fight for your community. But if you do, I encourage you to just block anybody who gives you shit for it. You don't owe anyone a debate, and it's pointless to engage with people who will only see the worst in you. Those who don't care about other trans people aren't worth the dirt on your boots, and this goes double for the ones that dismiss sexual assault just because it happens to trans men. Speak up about the issues you care about, and block their transphobic asses if they give you trouble.
I notice that I‘m scared to even speak about this issue sometimes. I feel like a coward. Idk what to do about it, because I can’t just keep quiet when I hear people just straight up deny transmasc oppression. But I already know their reaction. They will not take me seriously. They will twist my words. They will double down and ignore the evidence. Even when I show them literal statistics of SA in transmascs, somehow that doesn’t matter.
sorry but youll never catch me feeling bad abt my masculinity as a black trans man becuz some popular tumblrite said it was cringe
Would you consider the ridicule and degradation of people with micro penises a form of intersexism??? Cause ive been thinkin about it a lot and the opinion of an intersex person would be nice (and any other intersex people who see this if yall would like please!)
Yes, it's definitely a microaggression. (For those who don't know, a micropenis is enough to qualify someone as intersex given it is two standard deviations below average for their body size). I personally don't really care and make small dick jokes about myself with my friends all the time but I do believe it's just another form of body shaming that people find acceptable.
My general thoughts on small dick jokes are that yes it's intersexist but there's much worse forms of normalized intersexism to focus on. People are always gonna say mean stuff about other people's bodies, and in the grand scheme of things, making fun of guys in huge pickup trucks for presumably having a tiny penis doesn't hurt me any worse than those jokes about people with blue eyes being scary.
“Uhm, transandrophobia doesn’t exist! Androphobia isn’t real, lol!” “OMG aphobia doesn’t make sense, what, you’re saying I’m afraid of nothing?” “Exorsexism? What, are people being sexist to GHOSTS?”
You people are so fucking stupid.
I know it might be a lot to take in, but compound words often have new meanings where BOTH parts of the word are important! Imagine that!
The fearmongering around medical transition for transmascs will never not be upsetting to me.
“you’re gonna look ugly as a man” “but you’re such a pretty girl, don’t change that” Wrong. You will look different after T, but you will look happy. You will probably grow hair and gain weight and look pretty different, and none of that is bad or makes you less desirable. You are going to look like you and that’s all that matters.
“T makes you angry” “you’re gonna be a scary man i won’t feel safe around you” Wrong. Testosterone does not “make” you angry. Messing with your hormones will mess with your emotions for sure, but you will not immediately become some scary predator when you start T. Being a man/masculine does not make you a threat, a predator, or inherently angry. That’s radfem shit.
“bottom growth is gross” “no one will want you with bottom growth” Wrong. Bottom growth is cool and a LOT of guys end up loving theirs a lot more than they thought they would. For a lot of people it is a desirable trait, there are people who find bottom growth hot and attractive. And! If you’re sure you don’t want it there’s things you can do to work around that, just talk to your provider.
“bottom surgery is super painful and not worth it” First off, call it phalloplasty, because that’s what you’re talking about. Second, yes it’s painful, it’s surgery. There are risks to it and complications can happen, but that’s true of any surgery. Phallo might not be for you, but it is life saving care for other folks. It is beautiful and should be talked about as life saving care and not as some afterthought thing that no one actually does.
Being transmasculine is a beautiful thing. Transitioning medically is not something every trans person wants, but if you notice yourself holding back for the reasons i’ve listed above (or similar) maybe reconsider.
hey don’t cry. every single transandrophobic post you see is actually just one of fite-club’s ten thousand alt accounts. yeah it’s okay. no one except him actually thinks like that
isnt it fucked that we still have to remind people that yes, misogyny is still misogyny when it's aimed at trans men and transmascs.
