Yeaaaah Transandrophobes Are Prone To Misgendering Any Trans Person They Don't Like, Because According

Yeaaaah transandrophobes are prone to misgendering any trans person they don't like, because according to them we're all secretly anti-feminist men in disguise :(

Seriously though, I think it's the attitude a lot of them have that goes "I only care about other queer people who are exactly like me and share my beliefs and experiences. Everyone else is my enemy." So it blows their mind when people who aren't trans men advocate for y'all. They can't comprehend caring about other people.

Oh! So apparently “transandrobros” is used to describe anyone who sticks up for trans men, so this means that any trans woman/fem who sticks up for us is targeted and misgendered! That’s awesome! This will definitely protect trans women and fems from transmisogyny!

I think whatever you replied on that post got immediately hidden by the OP

Hey sounds about right. I’ll say it better because I think it needs to be said.

Here is what has happened: Trans women created a word to describe their experiences and then used that word to talk about the oppression they face. Trans men, who face similar but different oppression, coined a similar but different word and are using that word to talk about their experiences.

If you are someone who genuinely believes that trans women deserve to have a word and space to talk about their oppression, but trans men are “talking over” them by doing the exact same thing, it reveals your biased worldview in which the experiences of trans women deserve to be heard more than those of trans men.

The internet is infinite and making a space for one group does not take away space from another. Both groups can speak.

Trans women and trans men both deserve a space to speak on trans experiences. As do nonbinary people who consider themselves under the trans umbrella.

Actually, I have more thoughts on this.

I think the people who genuinely believe this crap are the ones whose only transfem friends are discourse bloggers, and never really interact with the community IRL.

If you hang out with trans women offline, you get to learn what transfem culture really is. You get to see genuine trans solidarity, and spend time with cool people who accept you as you are, regardless of if your identity perfectly aligns with theirs.

But if you don't have that, you think peak transfem culture is that IKEA shark, dysphoria hoodies, and arguing with other queer people online.

Wait are these assholes trying to claim the concept of a dysphoria hoodie was stolen from trans women

Dysphoria Hoodies??? Really? As we know, the concept of wearing a Baggy Article of Clothing to deal with your dysphoria was nonexistent until the first ever trans woman discovered the magic of the hoodie.

Really???

I was wearing those before I knew what being trans was! Shockingly, if you're dysphoric about a part of your body, your first instinct may be to cover it up with easily available gender-neutral clothing... such as, I don't know, a hoodie? But no, those mean transmascs and nonbinaries stole it from women, who would have guessed :(

Guess we gotta add it to the list, along with "cat ear headphones" and "eggs" and "liking anime."

"the best way to screw jkr over is by making her characters queer!" actually. The best way to screw jkr over is to stop engaging with the property she still profits off of and read a different fucking book

anyone else think it’s kinda weird to say “why would you choose to be a man??” to transmasc/transmen because to me you are implying that being trans is a choice…which it’s not…I didn’t choose to be transmasc…that’s how I was born…

in the wake of genderqueerdykes transmisognistic post shall you not use it as an excuse to be anti good faith identities, or spreading the “transandrophobia truther” theory. Just because someone is a shit person doesn’t mean you get to be horrible back. and if you try arguing with me on this fuck off because i will block u.

the only reason anyone would care about which minority has power over another minority group is to sow division between the two minority groups btw

united we stand, divided we fall

Friendly reminder that you don’t owe anyone here a debate.

Person thinks trans men can’t reclaim “tranny”?

Wow, that’s stupid. Block ‘em.

Some asshole believes that trans men are uniquely misogynistic or privileged or whatever fun discourse buzzword they’re using today?

Their prejudice is not your problem. Block ‘em.

Random blogger says trans men don’t experience (insert common form of transphobia here)?

Don’t try to prove them wrong by sharing details of your trauma. Just block ‘em.

The worst offenders aren’t going to change. They’re not going to listen to you, or engage in a good-faith debate. Speaking from experience, showing them any vulnerability will just result in it being used against you.

It’s sad, but these people are stuck in a discourse tar-pit that makes them see their trans siblings as enemies. They have to pull themselves out; they won’t hear a word you say, not when they’ve already made up their minds about you.

Don’t give them a platform. Don’t waste your time and energy on bad-faith arguments. Spend it with people who don’t make misunderstanding you their favorite hobby.

And remember:

Make sure you've blocked fite-club/rittz. Like half of the inane discourse yapping goes away when you do, it's great.

I don't mean any offense here, but I'm not sure it's a good idea to call this a trend? Like, 90% of my IRL friend group is transfem furries. "[Animal][Girl][Cock]" is not a discourse thing, it's a furry tgirl thing. I've seen plenty of people with usernames that follow this theme who are perfectly lovely people- more than I've seen discourse blogs that follow the theme.

I think a lot of the discourse assholes just also happen to be transfem furries. There's no strong correlation, and it's not causation. Just coincidence.

what are the trends? what are the username trends for transandrophobic posters? any specifics?

Typically [animal][girl][slang term for penis]

(Mandatory disclaimer for those lacking reading comprehension - As implied with the term "trend," this is not 100% an identifyer for transandrophobic trans women.)
