Underrated JayVik moments/lines (6/∞)

"It's not a theory..!"

Or well, technically, what I want to highlight here is the chronology of 3 different lines - notice something?

Viktor: "I wanted to talk about your work... this HexTech theory of yours."

Jayce: "It's not a theory..! I've seen with my own eyes what magic can do, the lives it could save. You've no idea how beautiful it is."

Viktor, later: "This HexTech dream of yours has the potential to do that."

It's no coincidence that the wording around it is identical, with the difference being that Viktor immediately caught on and understood what the idea of HexTech truly meant to Jayce.

No wonder then, really, that Jayce promptly stared like Viktor hung the moon and decided right then and there that this was theirs, now.

(By the way: by virtue or vice of being a series about underrated moments, I don't think I in good conscience will be able to make one singular separate post about the line "Our HexTech dream." - however I will get creative and use lines that connect back to it, don't worry.)

What do they act like when they are sick?

Grumpy. As in “don’t touch me and leave me to die” sorta grumpy. He feels vulnerable when he’s sick and hates not being able to properly do his job. He especially hates getting ataxia. He almost blew his cover once trying to pickpocket someone in Whiterun. Sneezed on ‘em instead. He’ll never forgive himself for that, nor will he get that disgusted look they gave him out of his mind. Brynjolf will outright refuse to be babied by anyone while he’s sick, however he does fancy a nice bowl of hot horker stew when he’s feeling under the weather and would never reject it.

How would they react to being a Dark Brotherhood target?

Annoyed, frankly. Though not too surprised. He was a thief after all. Not the most popular guy out there. Assassins were not so different from thieves, though. And he’d no doubt try to sway the assassin’s attempt to murder him by trying to recruit him into a different sort of shady business that was much less messy. If worse came to worse, he was sure he could outrun them and good luck to them if they tried to enter the Ratway.
