More laughter echoes through the room as Archie plucks a Pokéball from the belt clip. He tosses it into the air, and out comes his Muk. An unpleasant aroma fills the air as the Pokémon cries out angrily.

"Wouldn't dare dissapoint now, would I? Who d'ya take me fer?"

A wave of his hand, and the Poison-type starts preparing a Sludge Wave to toss at the opposing Sylveon.

Of course he does.

Again, maybe she should be scared. Maybe she shouldn't be staying here and responding to his laugh with a chuckle of her own. Maybe she should just leave and leave the world saving situation to the Champion.

"Kind of expected that, yeah!"

Her PokèBall was thrown in the air one last time before she finally released her Sylveon, who laaaazily stretched as soon as he landed on the battlefield-to-be. So calm.

"Try to be at least a little bit better than your grunts, okaaaay?"

"Whatevs, hmm? Heh."

"Gotcha, scamp. I won't splash everywhere. Just a li'l bit."

Ah. What's this sinking feeling? It's a good thing PJ can't see him right now, 'cause he looks like he wants to cry.

He hates people seeing him less tough than he acts. He's supposed to be the strong one here.

But he's been hiding the severity of his injuries pretty well. Or maybe he's just used to it with his many visits to the depths? This is not his first rodeo, but it doesn't get easier as he gets older.

"It's bound t' happen sooner rather than later. I'd prefer to tell him myself, but. I getcha. Yer loyal t' yer boss, and I love t'see it. Also, fridge time sounds awful." He's not sure what it means, but if the kid wanted to avoid it, it must suck.

"Can't stop ya either. Kinda stuck like this. Jus' hope I don't get thrown back 'cause I'd be done fer."

Merfolk Aqua boss." another moment of silence "Former Aqua. Sure. Sorry. Okayyyy.

This is the worst life of his life. Taking a long, deep breath as he goes further down, ending on the floor, PJ crosses his arms, sighting as loudly as he could.

"...you know I should, like-- tell the boss who you are, right? No 'cause he's cool and all but if he finds out he has an eco-terrorist in sis' bathtub and I knew all along I would end up on top of the fridge for weeks-"
