A moment passed, hesitation as jade green eyes flitted from Gojo's familiar shape ahead of him to the man on the other side, partially blocked from view by his benefactor. Megumi stalled, not wanting to look away, but not wanting to disobey a direct order. Not that this felt like an order, so much as a firm request. Firmer than Gojo typically was with him. There was a coldness to his voice that told the boy that neither he, nor this interloper, were going to enjoy what was coming.

The man across from them leered, too cocky for Megumi's liking. Clearly he didn't know what they knew- which was that he'd just waded into waters, much too deep and treacherous for his expectations. He wasn't the first "envoy" the Zen'in had sent after Megumi, but something in the primal part of his brain told Megumi he was about to be the last.

I'm not some little kid, he wanted to argue, despite the obvious truth. He was exactly that- but Gojo wasn't that much older than him, really. At least, he wasn't an adult either- not like this man. Maybe that's why the "envoy" was so badly underestimating them now despite Gojo's fearsome reputation. A flicker of a more appropriate emotion crossed his face when the older boy spoke, addressing Megumi rather than him. Like he wasn't there. Like he didn't matter. And truly? He didn't.

After a beat, Megumi allowed himself to fall a step behind his companion and with a solemn glance at the figure blocking their path, shut his eyes.

"Waaah! So scary!" The curse's face stretched in mock awe and he raised his hands halfway in a warding gesture. "You're not still holding a grudge about before are you?" Lips twisted into a sneer briefly before the expression became innocent again. Palms turned skyward, outstretched, placating- but not too far. Some lessons were learned faster than others.

"Don't be so harsh. I think what we need is a fresh start, hm? We have so much common ground, it would be such a shame to throw it all aside over a little misunderstanding."

Mismatched eyes glittered with unmistakable malice, a jarring juxtaposition on an otherwise perfectly pleasant expression. It added a note of cruelty to the benign smile that grew in response to Yuta's accusation. "You don't think so?" Mahito asked, lower lip jutting out in a pout as he tapped his chin in mock consideration. "But you of all people should know better than to say a curse is incapable of love, isn't that right? You and your Queen." His head tipped to the side, gaze tracing over the length of the boy opposite him, sizing him up. A far cry from Junpei or Yuji. Yuta wasn't someone who could be easily manipulated or riled up. There was a steadiness to him that many lacked. And a coldness that Mahito recognized immediately. This one wasn't to be underestimated. He may be possessed of power enough to overwhelm him, but there was a shadow behind his light. Yuta Okkotsu was capable of his own brand of cruelty. No human was truly immune. But that capability wasn't what interested the curse. It was the easiest thing in the world to suss out the darkness in one's heart. But to fully grasp the gravity of love- a love that not only created one of the most powerful curses in existence but then purified it? That was worth examining. And now, thanks to the Manipulator's benevolence, Mahito could do so with relative impunity. Maybe there were some perks to being a kept thing after all. "Is it because of the fear and the hatred that created me? You believe I can't be anything more than what nature crafted?" He took a step closer to Yuta, emboldened by the bond to Suguru Getou that shielded him. Slowly, he circled as much to feed into the sorcerer's discomfort as to take him in. "Well maybe you're right. Maybe I'm doomed to exist forever as I am, rot cycling to rot. Or maybe~" He drew close enough to speak directly into Yuta's ear. "Maybe I just need someone like you to give me a little nudge. Maybe I'm just waiting for the next stage of evolution to push me into traffic and turn me into something great." He withdrew then as easily as he'd encroached, throwing up his arms in careless defeat. "But probably not right? A goldfish can only get so big in a little bowl, and even if you dump it into the river, it's still just going to be a bigger goldfish." With a heavy, theatrical sigh the curse dropped onto one of the chairs in front of an empty desk, kicking his feet up onto it and rocking back on the rear legs. "Are you pointing it out because it bothers you? Or are you just trying to hurt my feelings?"

MOST ACTIVE MUSES: Satoru Gojo tbh but it's rally a Russian roulette on any given day who I am in the mood for. You tell me

EXPERIENCE: I've been writing online for about twenty years if I'm being honest and up front. I got mmy first real start on Gaia Online and Livejournal, though I was passing rolepalys back and forth in notebooks with friends well before that. I know that dates me, but I think it speaks to my length and variety of experience at least.

FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT: I'll be frank and say I really don't care for fluff at all. If I had to choose one of these three I guess I'd say angst, but my real preference is action adventure with a healthy dose of romance. Think Pirates of the Caribbean or The Mummy. Something dramatic and exciting with a classic love story. ...God that dates me too doesn't it?

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: It really depends on my mood. I love writing long replies, but I am not always capable of them, between my mental and physical health. Ideally I'd be consistently somewhere in the middle, but consistency is not something I can promise in good faith. I'll accept anything from my partner though! Historically I have written both novella style roleplays and short form, script formatted roleplays- so I'm quite flexible. I'm even down for experimental POVs. I'll follow the leads I'm given.

PET PEEVES: My biggest one is when a partner is not vibing with something that we are doing and doesn't tell me about it at all or until well after the fact. It makes me feel guilty for giving them a bad experience while also causing me to doubt my own abilities and tastes. It just feels bad. I guess lack of communication in general is my worst ick. I don't like not knowing things. If I've upset you, tell me. If you're losing interest in what we're doing, or need to change directions, tell me. If you just plain need a break from interacting at all that's totally fine but TELL ME. I get really self conscious and it sucks not knowing if I'm the reason someone is unhappy or a story has stalled. Please just talk to me and we'll work whatever it is out. In return I'll show you the same courtesy.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE: Lord Jesus I hope not LOL. Just kidding, not all my muses are like Mahito and Sukuna, and even in their cases, there are things we share. I think there's a little of everyone I write in me or I wouldn't be able to do what I do, right? If I'm just speaking on the muses I have, I'll put it like this- I have Mahito's cynicism and curiosity, but Yuji's hope, sense of humor, and taste in film. Like Gojo and Sukuna, I feel like there are only a few people who really get me and I get restless when I feel like I don't have someone who can match my energy and interests. I often feel like I can't ever go all out in expressing myself and it's stifling. Like Chouso, I want to be a pillar that my loved ones can lean on and stand behind. Like Uraume, I have people in my life I will turn into an absolutely feral asshole for, and our relationships have the potential to be a huge part of my personality, sometimes in detrimental ways. With Megumi I can self isolate and feel hopeless about my potential for growth, but I keep trying in spite of that. (I also love animals so fucking much.) I often joke with my friends that I'll empathize with a corn chip and it's really true. I feel like I can relate to just about anyone, even if it's not always flattering or healthy. But conversely I do also learn a lot about myself by writing different characters so it's not all bad I guess.

TIME TO WRITE: Errrrrm. Damn that's rough. I work 8-5PM Mon-Fri, EST but I'm not always available outside those hours either depending on how I'm feeling. One of the downsides of writing with me is that I don't keep normal hours because my brain is a bag of cats. The best time to catch me is probably between 6AM-7PM Saturday and Sunday, but there are tiems during the week I'll be available too. Just not as often. That's strictly with regards to RP though. If you want to chat or plot I'm highly responsive on DMs 95% of the time. I have severe ADHD and don't always have regular access to my meds so my energy levels and attention spans fluctuate. I'll always let you know where I am at and what to expect though.
