Buckle up because I'm about to ramble a tad
Watching Look Back was probably the best thing a streaming platform could've recommended to me, the way Fujimoto wrote the characters was so immensely human and the most I've related to characters in years in terms of art. Drawing out of felt necessity instead of genuine love is something I felt so intensely related to, not drawing for some time and then picking it back up again as well.
I've had times I haven't drawn for months then only to draw out of a felt need instead of my love for my work, I've had times I've drawn multiple pieces in a day because I wanted to and loved every moment of it. Both girls have been me at some point in my life, childhood and current adulthood.
The story was absolutely brilliant, in all ways I can think of, watching two young artists grow up and their paths that they took, the way they developed. I could not have asked for more, I don't think I've cried that much over characters I knew such a short time either, but they moved me. Those two girls got me so involved, made me feel so seen and then broke my heart in the best way possible.
I love this film and it's story with all my heart
yet again alone on a Saturday night, thinking about the Duskborn questline so here's a butt load of Devin dialogue doodles: (+ an Alfred bc their post-murder scenes seem really similar to me)
bonus:
ik the implication is that Devin either killed himself or was killed by deathblight right after, but since we never see his body, I like to imagine he just took off his armour and ran away to who knows where

Happy birthday Micah! Your one free day off work, Salvador says to make it count. You're only 25 once!
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017)
A collection of my attempts to get Micah's hair and face shapes, as well as the small doodle that got me to draw him more. Still working on getting around to his character sheet as well as backstory related art
Someone please stop him from cutting his own hair too, it's so uneven
Paint me an absence, a silhouette of rain
When others take shelter, I take on shape
This invisible life in negative space
Shortens the fall that water must make
Looser practice doodles for a persona because I've somehow gone most of my art life without having one
Lillian "Pot", a good old apocalypse survivor that no longer is afraid of getting herself killed after she was attacked by a mutant and is now fending off the infection. She tried to eat her boyfriends hand once, she did feel bad
Re-emerging from my gaming frenzy after playing Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 in a two week span having played neither before, skill jump between both kicked my ass. 10/10, will do this again immediately
