Never Read That Story, But There's The Movie "I Spit On Your Grave" Which Is Basically Glorification

Never read that story, but there's the movie "I Spit On Your Grave" which is basically glorification of revenge from a woman perspective. Or also arguably Shinobu story is also a revenge that the narrative puts in a good light, despite Shinobu has her problems.

Anyways I get the point you tried to make there.

Would be funny if all that bad marketing for U.A cause many parents to take their kids out of that school. Well at least if the parents are smarter in this AU than they're in canon (cause after so many assesination attemps how nobody question why they still send their childrens to a death trap?).

Mizunami would get hooked into Izu the first second he sees her, but a slow burn will be fun to read and see how the sexual tension between them growns.

He can totally take Compress, since he's not really anything special in terms in fight skills and as far we know he can't compress non solid objects, so a water user would ironically be a big problem especially since Cider is a medium to long range fighter. The fight would be quite easy to Muzunami, who will also hate the annoying "magician" act of Compress.

I really don't care about Momo, so whatever happens to her is fine for me.

His line "I'm a man who lives for the thrill" lives in my mind now. Rent free. He is a bold but smart man.

I was wondering...what it he goes to steal smth in UA? Not sure on what he could steal but hey why not? That would be a huge blow to their egos.

Plot twist. Izumi beats him first and she is the one to invade UA and stole SMTH - it was crucial for her plans- BK tried to downplayed so hard but hates how everyone is impressed.

No idea of what he would steal, but if he and Izu converge the same day with the same plan of steal some shit and they're like "wtf are you doing here?".

They almost start fighting but then Bakugou appears and tries to capture them screaming "Die!" as usual, but then Izu and Cider join forces and humilliate BK in public in the U.A grounds. A hard hit for his ego.

That would be also a moment for fall into a spiral of love and horniness for our thiefs.

Thank you! Glad you liked my h.c and thanks again for add your own!

You know? This made me realize that unlike almost all the members of the MLA, Geten doesn't use any kind of support item despite all them do it because Re-Destro owns a tech company.

I wonder if Geten has some kind of distaste for support items, a mindset of "a true warrior doesn't need cheap toys for fight". Kinda crazy but hey, it's implied Geten is sort of a freak even among the MLA because of how much he's totally devoted to the cause, and he canonically is very prideful about his quirk.

Mikeellee and me play a lot with the idea of Geten being sort of an empty person who doesn't live for anything that isn't fight for Destro cause. A perfect child soldier, and he clash a lot with Cider (his bro in my AU) for this reason.

...

Yeah Dabi obviously join the league because obviously he was at the very bottom at that point and for put his plans in action he needed a good start point, and considering Giran is good at selling promises he surely was convinced.

His whole Stain fanboy persona was pretty much a performance, I've talked about that other times. An easy way to fit into a group that at the time was supposed to have Stain in it, but when Dabi discovered it wasn't the case he dropped the act almost instantly.

...

That idea of Re-Destro wanting to get control of the MLA again could've reedemed his character a bit, but to bad it didn't go anywhere.

But hey you make me think a new scenario in which Nine starts getting a lot of traction after Shingaraki became the new leader of the MLA, so when Nine builds a big reputation people like Geten and especially Re-Destro left the PLF and start follow Nine who in their eyes is the true incarnation of the original Destro dreams.

Which Nine is in fact. Seriously if Re-Destro "liked" Shigaraki, then Nine would be his wet dream.

...

Nine is hauntingly beautiful, his eyes are just mesmerizing.

Thank You! Glad You Liked My H.c And Thanks Again For Add Your Own!

And in that scenario where Nine is Geten father, how old he is?

Cause for me Nine is at much early 20s.

How cinder enters the world of crime? I know this feels a simplistic question but it also can adds layers to world building. Like, say he was kicked out of the Himura household at 15...what he would do? Join a crime organization right away?

Assuming someone took him in. Did he wanted do crimes or was his only option?

I ask this bc...many Himuras we see are either in shitty situations or in crimes. Rei did endure a crime against her. Geten is an attack dog and Mizumi is the leader of a gang(benevolent as they all may be...it's still a gang)

And my final question (s)

How Cinder reacts to possum? See, possum wants destruction for the sake of destruction and anyone sane would say "fuck you" to that. Even if Cinder was a malicious and evil person...there was nothing to gain with Shig. (I HC many capable villains scoff and turn down working with LoV even if they are fans of Stain. Dabi is the best one and to this day I don't get why he joins LoV.)

Would Cinder and Nine be on good terms or enemies?

I mean, when you're kicked out of your house to survive in the streets isn't like you get many options.

My guess is that Mizunami started from the bottom working for some low tier gang before leave and form his own group, aka the Cider House gang.

For the moment I can't give a more fleshed out answer to that specific question, but considering Mizunami aptitude after the prison break we can assume he at least enjoys being free comit crimes as robbery as much he wants, despite having a more noble side by avoid harm civilians. Perhaps he got the habit with the years, don't know really.

...

No villain with an IQ of more than 2 digits would find Shigaraki a worthy option to work with, and we know Cider is way to smart for that.

If you think about it, not even the MLA soldiers actually liked Shigaraki as their new leader. They were pretty much against it but stayed loyal only because Re-Destro (a bigger idiot) suddlenly became Shigaraki number 1 bootlicker.

Why Dabi joined lov? Because Horikoshi wanted his dumb villain group but didn’t even bother to write a believable reason for that.

...

I would say Mizunami and Nine would be in neutral terms all things considered.

Cider would find Nine to be way more dangerous than Shigaraki, because unlike crusty boy Nine is man with strong convictions and capable to do way more damage. And also his ideology remind Mizunami to his brother Geten, which isn't q good signal.

But from Nine side I don't think he would mind Cider that much. As unlike Re-Destro who has a similar mindset and will kill you for not join his cause, Nine doesn't seem to mind of people following him or no, after all his ideal world is one in which the strongest rule but he doesn't harm the weaks just because he can (as he didn't kill the heroes he stealed quirks or Katsuma dad for example).h

I mean, for Dabi in particular he totally could have been a vigilantes of sorts if he actually had some kind of heroic interest despite his own selfish motivations like revenge.

That was my initial point, and as I said is quite ironic how a guy like Dabi which introduction was him saying he will "fullfil Stain ideals" about kill fake heroes and such. But as I said in other post in retrospective that scene can be seen as just a performance to cover Dabi's real intentions when he needed to fit in a group.

I guess this is a hot take on my part considering most the fandom seems to think the opposite but... I think Dabi didn't deserve to be a hero, no matter how bad of a parents Enji and Rei were.

My reasoning behind this is simple: Dabi (or Touya) always was an extremely selfish individual and never show any sign of wanting to be a hero for noble reason, he never go beyond his fixated mentallity of "this is what I was born for and dad will love me because of it".

It's quite what this scene tries to show:

I Guess This Is A Hot Take On My Part Considering Most The Fandom Seems To Think The Opposite But...
I Guess This Is A Hot Take On My Part Considering Most The Fandom Seems To Think The Opposite But...

Touya's reason to be a hero can be sumed as "me, me, me, me and dad" he doesn't want to be one because is a noble thing to do and he could help people. For him being a hero is just the easy way to get all the attention from Enji he thinks he deserves, which is also implied he wants more than anyone else, that possibly includes think his brothers don't deserve Enji as much as he does.

Kinda of ironic for a supposed Stain fanboy to be a selfish asshole who never shows any real heroic desire. Like hell even other villains show to have more noble qualities than Dabi, even Shigaraki of all persons seemed more genuine when he was a child wanting to be a hero just because it is correct.

Dabi is also a great contrast to Shoto, who was forced into being a hero but learned that he could be something better than what his father expects from him.

I Guess This Is A Hot Take On My Part Considering Most The Fandom Seems To Think The Opposite But...

And no one can say Rei didn't at least tried equally to be a good guide for both of them, isn't like she made a difference on that.

Well that was a little rank from my part, but need to say it as for years was a pretty annoying seeing the same idea floating everywhere about "Dabi could've been the greatest hero if it wasn't for Endeavor".

But for me the question isn't about he could, more like "he should?"

Hi @nyc3

First off, let's address the elephant in the room, everyone in MHA who wants to he a hero wants fame...(Ofc izu won't get bc fuck you Izu) My point is, hero IS a job and it's natural to want to he recognized and praised for your good job. I know bc I do like when my boss compliment on my job and ...its SMTH really smaller considering what heroes do in MHA.

I also want to say...many kids would want to be a hero for the attractive reasons such as fame and money, no one would be so selfless. Izu was, but hori says fuck him. Izu is someone who helps others selfless and is punished for that. (He wanted to be part of a group, and never will be. He is the forever odd duck, you know, some retelling of Cinderella are sort mean bc carry the message "don't marry above your station" and that's not the core of the story. Its a sentiment I see on Izu's story. "Don't try to be what you can't")

I think is normal, considering the situation, for Toya wanting to be a hero for selfish reasons. He is a kid in a toxic environment...his dad is not a hero for pure reasons either.

Could he have change? Maybe. That would require Endy to be a parent and same for Rei. Its unfair to expect Toya to move on from his dream-smth he was created for- just bc his quirk is not perfect.

Seeing a parallel with Endy and Inko here. Both parents did nothing for their kids but hurt them...through in different ways.

As for dabi, he wants revenge which is a selfish goal but is also a very understandable one.

Could he have became a hero as dabi? Maybe. The vigilantes are a grey area that isn't explored much.

I don't like when people suggest Izu or dabi to be vigilantes as if that would be the biggest catch. They could work as such but god that would come with many hurdles. Especially for Izu, and again, what any of them would do as a vigilantes? Beat up bad guys???

Isnt that what villains and heroes do?

It's funny cus what @thr0wnawayy mentions is sort of what happens in the fight of Cider House and Bakugou, as C.H shooting water beams at high preasure was giving BK a lot of problems and was Shoto who defeated Cider (even if there's problems with that too).

Realistically a lot of quirks should be a complete danger for everyone in the battlefield, explosions are just one example. But what about any fire quirk? Shoto almost killed Shindo once, but obviously outside that very specific case Horikoshi never make a big deal out of the dangers of using fire in the wrong situation even if that's even more dangerous than explosions if you ask me.

Or what about Mina shooting literal acid, how tf that's not dangerous in any situation? We seen that shit disolving everything in the blink of an eye, how she even uses it and not kill every villain? It's silly.

Quirks are dangerous only if Horikoshi decides to make them dangerous. Which is giant flaw in the logic to introduce the concept of "villanous quirks" that seems to be a big social issue.

What's even a "villanous quirk" then? Brainwash is super horrible but burn people with fire/acid isn't?

What bothers me the most about Izuku's character is that it seems like he can't feel anything, like because he can't be angry with what happens to him, you know why he can't have negative feelings towards Bakugou? This admiration he has for the bomb boy is not normal and healthy, it reminds me of Stockholm Syndrome. Bakugou stans say that Izuku is boring, but when talking about this thing about him not being angry with Bakugou, they keep saying that we don't understand Izuku's character. What's your opinion? Am I exaggerating?

I don't think you're exaggerating. In fact, I think it's deliberate on Horikoshi's part.

I began to realize Izuku's character was regressing the minute I first came across this scene:

What Bothers Me The Most About Izuku's Character Is That It Seems Like He Can't Feel Anything, Like Because

This is the only scene I can justify hating Izuku's character because it was such an out of pocket line coming from him. And it kind of stuck in my head for weeks because it felt so OOC. Like, Izuku of all characters pushing for Todoroki to forgive Endeavor? It made no sense to me.

But do you see how it pans to Bakugou?

To me, this is Horikoshi indirectly attempting to absolve Bakugou. Izuku's line here is trying to communicate that that's how he feels about Bakugou.

Similarly to All Might saying Izuku doesn't hold what Bakugou did against him, this is another piece of plot manipulation from Horikoshi. Bakugou's redemption is pushed through the words of others, not through his actions. Especially when it comes to how he treated Izuku.

If Izuku, at any point, was still upset or noticeably traumatized by Bakugou's actions, Bakugou couldn't have been reasonably redeemed. Because there would be no feasible reason to even have him around Izuku and the only reason Bakugou's even relevant is due to Horikoshi sticking him onto Izuku in every arc

Have you ever been too attached to a nameless character which signature color is blue and they appear in like 1-2 episodes of their respective series?

It happened to me twice...

Have You Ever Been Too Attached To A Nameless Character Which Signature Color Is Blue And They Appear
Have You Ever Been Too Attached To A Nameless Character Which Signature Color Is Blue And They Appear
Have You Ever Been Too Attached To A Nameless Character Which Signature Color Is Blue And They Appear
Have You Ever Been Too Attached To A Nameless Character Which Signature Color Is Blue And They Appear

Cider House leader and the demon slayer who was partner of Rengoku during the prequel to mugen train.

Pretty blue eyes and cool outfit with matching blue tones. Plus if blue haori slayer uses water breathing then both characters are themed around water, isn't that amazing?

I shouldn't like nameless characters with so little content and screen time but I can't help myself either.

The public humiliation will always be more satisfying than just the kill, and for BK a hit to his ego is better than any physical wound (even if he deserves this too).

Plus if someone at Cider gang was recording the whole thing and they upload it to internet later imagine the public reaction after being the honored student from U.A getting his ass kicked in the grounds of the school, not only will be motive of laughs among the general audience and low the reputation of heroes among them, but it also will drive crusty boy crazy because he never thought on record his own attack.

You have to love Cider professionalism during the job, he's not like those incompetents dudes from the lov. He has standards

The Public Humiliation Will Always Be More Satisfying Than Just The Kill, And For BK A Hit To His Ego

His mask is one of the coolest designs in the whole series, and it's very unique of him.

Even if I like his attractive face without it, the mask should stay during the job.

His line "I'm a man who lives for the thrill" lives in my mind now. Rent free. He is a bold but smart man.

I think you aren't a shipper but considering our last talk...I wonder

What you think about dabi x Mirko?

Its just....if Mirko has to be shipped with a villain, dabi could work. Now it doesn't mean it will be a sweet romance...it think it would be dark. A one night stand type of deal where dabi thinks Mirko is as villainous as he is (she likes to beat up villains, she goes for the kill)

I just wondering here bc I've seen some arts and fics of them and...got my attention

Also...god I love your interpretation of Dabi x Burnin hahaha. He fucks her in hopes to get infos...gets useless infos (till the very last second where she reveal rather blase smth essential)

Oh but I do like shipping, is just I don't have anything worth to post about the ships I like (for now).

That being said Mirko isn't a character I'm very invested, but considering how popular she's overall obviously there's a lot of ships with her. For some reason many people love ship her with Shigaraki... ew why that's even a thing?

I never seen any Mirko x Dabi content but it can't be as bad as that other. And she would probably dominate Dabi which is always a plus to see.

Perhaps the only Mirko ship that got my interest a bit is her and Rappa, mainly because the fun chemistry they got in Vigilantes. We can considerer him an time to time villain?

That idea about Burnin came out of nowhere really, her chaotic personality just make this kind of situations write themselves. She's also the kind of person who could drive mr. edgelord crazy because he can't stand her energy.

I mean why not? At least with Bakugou being a descendant of Kudo you can at least make a believable connection between them, rather than just "The importance of Bakugou in AFO fight is based on the fact he looks like the guy who stole his brother a century ago" which is dumb af.

Canon possum is a joke but one thing I never forget is how decay IS powerful, sure a powerful quirk with an idiot is not a good thing in many fronts but...

Cinder (I'm loving him already) has to know a guy who can decay stuff with one touch even if he is an idiot.

Would cinder be worried about the quirk ?

Again, shig is an idiot and a bad leader and all that but one thing we can't deny is he knows how to fight.

So I think cinder would make a point to avoid him like the plague.

In canon Cider is the kind of person who knows he shouldn't bite off more than he can chew, since after all his plan during his debut was to steal during a very specific moment in which heroes aren't present, so is more reward without having to fight and less risk.

Canon Possum Is A Joke But One Thing I Never Forget Is How Decay IS Powerful, Sure A Powerful Quirk With

It was just a coincidence that A.M was there with Bakugou and Todoroki.

I guess his mentality also applies to fight dangerous villains, and the lov had some big names attached them. Their reputation probably was enough for Cider to not have his gang involved with such group of psychos.

But... I disagree on Shigaraki being a good fighter.

Maybe before all the bs power ups given by the doctor he at least knew how do surprise attacks and such, but Decay being such a one-dimensional quirk also means the user doesn't require a lot of skill to put it in use. It is basically just run towards the enemy and touch for instakill.

Which became even more braindead post awakening. Like even Overhaul has more room to be creative and need skill to put in use.

Decay is just a broken and boring quirk that requieres nothing to be effective. Crusty asshole somehow manages to be more plain than he already was at first, is like he evolves in reverse.

Yeah I mean his gang members must be at least friends, not just a "work" thing.

He probably does some normal parkour here and there, but the idea is that he probably uses small amounts of water to slide around surfaces. Did you see how Ino from JJK uses his powers? Something like that.

He probably likes to wear clothes that he found cool, and got a natural fashion sense and good taste. After all his winter look and that mask have so much style put in them, is hard to think they don't have at least a bit of thought behind then.

Outside of that, idk if Cider is the kind of guy that gives much attention of his look in a sense of vanity. He probably thinks himself as handsome, but just as a natural thing not like tries hard to look good.

So chapter 1 is already beta, and now my beta reader is helping me with chapter 2. This weekend will post the fic

I have a question...What you think Cinder does when he´s on, hum, let´s say off days?

Cool, I'm excited to read the final version.

So about Cider hobbies, I did mention some times that he's a surfer but that doesn't limit to the sea. After all he uses his quirk to surf in land as well.

Can we call his activity urban surfing? Pretty sure he's one of the few people who can pull off such sport lol.

I can imagine him going with his friends or solo to a derelic industrial complex or a scenario like that, a place with a lot of obstacles were practice his style for fun and training at the same time.

He's also a very good graffiti artist who likes to leave his own mark in a lot of places. Very standar for a gang to do so, but Cider likes a bit more of personality for his own graffiti.

He probably has an artistic side even if he doesn't realize that. And most likely Cider is the kind of guy who consume mangas more because of the pretty art than the story itself lol.

Midoriya probably was surprised they share a common interest on some geek stuff. I can see them having lazy days of just chill and cuddling, both reading mangas of different genres with some music in the background and making comments here and there about the story and characters.
