Paris is always showing its teeth. When it is not snarling, it is laughing.

The gods are right here, as far-fetched as it sounds: everyone’s a god, no kings, no crowns, just us, one being, infinite and holy, gods, messed up, lonely, squashed, stressed out, dumbed down, raging, wasted … Same as it ever was: brand new ancients.

why almost everyone consider that Ronan is passive?? can u explain it pls i'm just trying to get this shit right (also bless u n ur hcs)
aaaaa ok. so. like ronan is into adam (so. so into adam) and he has been for so so long and he hasnt acted on it. and hes not planning to act on it. it hasnt even occurred to him that adam might reciprocate his feelings? like, he hasnt even had that thought, that adam could ever– he does nice things for adam and he doesnt even expect any acknowledgment or anything? or repayment? its not bc hes hoping adam will like him back or whatever, hes actually so far gone for him that he doesnt care if adam likes him back???? because he never will, ronans reconciled with that, adam doesnt like him like that and its fine ??? he doesnt care ??
hmm also i feel like, to me anyway, theres definitely this ~double side~ thing about ronan’s character, i.e. that he looks like bad news / tough guy / punk, u know? he drinks and he drives recklessly and he fucks with danger on the daily. so youd sort of expect him to be dominant or whatever? but i read this whole side of his character as a sort of facade and like a wall hes built around himself to not get hurt? bc the world fucks you up – if u show emotions or are vulnerable or anything youll get wrecked? like, ronan’s facade of having no feelings is actually him trying to deal with the fact that he has so many feelings. like, fuck off, he feels everything he feels so much. but hes been hurt enough bc of that so he tries to shut it down and act cool or whatever? eh, so u get the idea hes like. dominant, yeah. but um, hes not.
also he is super super inexperienced ok he doesnt understand the concept of casual relationships At All ??? and hes rly rly gone for adam he just wants to make him happy so maybe that plays a role as well? like he puts himself second and adam first so like. idk lets adam do with him what he wants sounds sort of harsh but ?? yeah
Adam away at college studying at his apartment with friends or something when his punk rock boyfriend shows up in biker boots (I imagine Ronan getting a motorcycle while Adam’s away with the bmw) and a leather jacket with a tattoo peaking out around his neck. and he plops down with the group like “‘sup nerds” and they get chatting and someone asks him where he goes to school and he’s like, “no, I’m a farmer” and they all think it’s a joke and he lets them think it’s a joke until the night wears on and at some point he’s showing everyone photos of the new baby goats he adopted and there’s a close up of the scary-looking ugly one that Opal picked out (she gave it a mohawk and named it Kerah) and it turns out he brought Adam a jar of preserves because he grew too many strawberries and later he shows off the bitchin’ scar he got on his elbow while building a new chicken coop. and everyone’s just like where the hell did you find this guy
tattoo artist who can encode magic into tattoos but doesn’t want people to know she can so she just puts low-level luck spells on her clients’ bodies without telling them
jeweller who makes body jewellery and pendants which have amulet properties and draw love and luck and happiness to their wearers without them realising it
piercing artist who keeps the remnants from her piercings and puts them all in little jars in the back of her shop to work sympathetic luck spells on all her clients
and then all three of them slowly realise what the others are doing and end up in a poly relationship living in a little shop in the shitty end of town, which gets curiously less shitty the longer they stay, and people think it’s just the development of the area but the three artists know
and they’re never rich and they’re never famous but they’re always happy because they have everything they need
they have the shop and they have their customers and they have each other
and when their customers are happy and content, they pack up and move on, all together now, to find another space with skin to be coloured and jewellery to be made and magic to be done.
