god i think making matsuda hate near is one of the best and most devastating things they ever did in the epilogue/future oneshots… like,, he continues to care so deeply about light that he’s still taking on his enemies, as if defending him were even possibly an option anymore. I've seen some talk floating around that Sanemi keeps his shirt open so he can easily cut himself, or so that the smell of his blood would be stronger when he gets slashed. No offense, but that's dumb, why would he want to cut his chest when his arms are right there? Like do you know how needlessly complicated and awkward it is to try to cut your chest?
