reblog if you believe fanfics are as valid as books that were published and sold by authors who write as their main careers. I'm trying to prove a point
Fox has caf rants after every Galatic Senate meeting. His favorite senators and (mostly) him talk (rant) about how much they hate Palpatine. But it’s mainly just Fox downing 16 cups of caf while outlining even detail about what makes Palpatine the worst person to ever exist in the galaxy while the senators nod and agree. By the end, everyone’s convinced he’s going to leave the room and go shoot Palpatine on the spot, and to be honest, none of them would stop him. They might even come to watch the show
and of course the classic
“WHAT DO I DO?!”
“Only Captain Rex knows how to break that hold, sir!”
“WELL GET HIM ON THE COMMS!”

The shinies try to warn Obi-Wan of Cody’s struggle snuggle tendencies before his morning caf. He didn’t listen.
Another attack this time on @mothsmeadow ! He looks like he’d tear up a dance club lol. Hope you like it!
Waxer (he would spoil her and get her a pet)
Boil (pretends he's annoyed by a younger sibling but absolutely adores her)
Cody (the most gentle brother ever. He's use to scared shinies. He knows how to comfort younger siblings)
Tup (he would teach her how to take care of her hair and would braid it all the time)
Kix (she was a medical assistant. They would get along so well! He would help teach her more)
Hardcase (is goofy and is always making her laugh)
Dogma (scared shitless that he's gonna mess up somehow. Almost cries when Omega first hugs him)
Fives (he would be a bad influence but bring her on adventures)
Jesse (is accompanying Fives and Omega on adventures)
Hevy (goes to 99 to ask how to care for his little sister. Is completely clueless about everything)
Droidbait (will sneak around with her. Will immediately take all the blame if caught)
Cutup (Assumes Fives knows how to care for a child because he practically is one. Ends up also going to 99 for advice)
Bly (immediately wants to show her the entire galaxy and takes her to meet Ayla)
Fox (extremely over protective. You even look at his little sister wrong, you will never be seen again)
Thorn ("I have a sister?!?!" Starts showing her around and buying her snack)
Hound (Grizzer absolutely adores her. Omega always comes to say hi to both of them)
Thire ("I've only known Omega for a day but if anything were to happen to her, I would kill everyone on Corruscant and then myself-")
Wolffe (extremely protective older brother)
Boost (reminds him of Ahsoka. Will protect her at any cost)
Sinker (also is reminded of Ahsoka. Drags Boost and Omega on snack runs)

Clone trooper armor design and mechanics for The Clone Wars TV series
I watched the humans go into the rec room and lock the door behind them, just like they’ve done once a week for the last month. Captain said to let them have their space, but I couldn’t help but wonder what they did every week.
Tonight I would find out.
I waited until they’d been in there for 30 minutes or so before quietly approaching the door. I sat on the ground and tried to listen. It was very hard to hear anything.
And then something came through very clearly.
“I will stab you!”
“This doesn’t concern you.”
“Like hell it doesn’t concern me. That’s cheating!”
“If both parties agree to the trade, it’s not against the rules.”
“That’s not a real trade and you both know it!”
I discovered I was holding my breath when the humans quieted down and I let it out quite suddenly. Whatever was happening, they seemed distraught.
It was five minutes later when I could hear them again.
“You liar!”
“I didn’t lie.”
“You said you didn’t have any cards!”
“No, I said you weren’t getting any cards.”
“I rolled a seven, that means I get a card.”
“Then why didn’t you take one?”
The next sound was one of a human tackling another. I also heard something falling or breaking. I wasn’t sure. I knew I needed help.
I ran to get the Captain. He’s the only one the humans would listen to when they’re upset. It took some convincing to get him to follow me, but he finally unlocked the door.
It swung open to reveal five humans at a table, cards in hand, and a hexagonal board game on the table. I was confused.
“Derek, how is game night going?” Captain asked.
“Be better if Rosa would stop cheating with Joey,” Derek grumbled.
“I’m not the one who tossed the board to the ground like a toddler,” Rosa replied smugly.
“But, but I heard-“
“Let the humans have their fun. Game night is one of the few harmless activities they have,” the captain interrupted.
He shut the door, and sent me away. I went to bed dumbfounded at how violent the humans words were, and yet how calm they appeared at the table. Game night must be quite the ordeal.
So, this entire issue was really cute–Obi-Wan’s feral mountain man beard and mullet aside–because the reveal at the end of the story is that Obi-Wan let the thief steal the paperweight from him so that they could track her back to her lair and stop her from stealing from Dex’s customers. And the lesson that Milo Graf is telling is that, “Nine times out of ten, you’re not as clever as you think you are.” I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. I love Obi-Wan and Dex’s friendship! I love that Obi-Wan apparently heard a plot to teach someone a lesson about how they weren’t as clever as they thought they were, and having had like ten years of experience of teaching that lesson, was like, “Oh, yes, teaching obnoxious little shits that they’re not as clever as they think they are is my speciality.” and was 100% onboard for this. I love that he had to know the thief would steal from him because he was a Jedi, so he just sat himself down and plunked down a paperweight next to him, because nobody in this galaxy apparently understands fuck all about the Jedi, like, no, it’s just a normal paperweight not some mysterious object, no, I didn’t use my space wizard psychic powers to find you, I used a normal tracking device, like, yes, give me alllll the weird vaguely eldritch Jedi and all the “………..no, I used a space Uber to get here, I didn’t fly here with my space wizard powers.” moments where, two seconds later, they just turn around to stare into the middle distance and get this unfathomable look on their face so you never know if they’re normal or not, like, HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE??? (Dex just laughs and shrugs, eh, they’re weird a lot of the time, but pretty all right people, you just gotta roll with that stuff.) AND BOOOYYYY DO I LOVE OBI-WAN’S FACE. HE IS SO DELIGHTED TO GET TO TEACH SOMEONE A LESSON. HE BEAT HER TO HER PLACE AFTER PRETENDING SHE GOT AWAY AND WAITED (LURKED) IN HER LAIR AND HID HIMSELF IN THE SHADOWS JUST SO HE COULD DO A DRAMATIC REVEAL AND HE IS HAVING THE TIME OF HIS LIFE. OBI-WAN KENOBI: GLEEFULLY DRAMATIC BASTARD WHOM I LOVE
Hello gamers, local disabled cane user is gonna teach you how to design a cane.
Tl:dr: design a cane based on comfortability and the disability of the character
First things first, you need to know why you’re character needs a cane. Do they have chronic pain? Unhealed injury? Muscle or joint issues? Do they have poor blood circulation which makes them dizzy? Do they need the cane all the time or does their disability fluctuate? Do they use a wheelchair or a walker sometimes?
There’s a lot you should know about a characters ability/disability in order to find what type of mobility aid they should be using.
There are a bunch of different kinds of canes/crutches. The 4 on the left are crutches. The difference between canes and crutches are, crutches are meant to keep weight off your legs as much as possible, and generally you use a crutch on each arm. Canes are used for stability and you usually only use one. Folding canes are great for people who only use their cane sometimes
Great! You’ve picked either a cane or crutches for your character. I’m done right? WRONG. Cane handles.
This is probably the most important part of canes because if you have the wrong handle your wrist will die.
I gently kiss all the canes on the left, they are all very good for grip and wrist, although the middle left is designed for left or right hand so you cannot switch hands with it.
The ones on the right are also pretty good, they wouldn’t be my first choice but they are still great. The top one is also very good as it has a wristband so you can’t drop it as easily. (Trust me when I say I DROP MY CANE SO MUCH)
Sigh. The middle cane handles… the bottom one I have never actually seen but it looks like it would kill my wrist. The top one is uncomfortable for long period uses, but it is good for if you’re a shepherd. And the pimp cane… the knob cane… it’s awful. Just no. It’s hard to grip, it is unstable it’s bad it’s awful I throw it into a fire. Please don’t give your character, they don’t deserve that pain
Now you know the basic ergonomic things, there are different shafts for canes and crutches
You can really get creative with this type of thing, just as long as it looks stable enough.
Here are some good examples of pretty canes that are ergonomic and good to use! (featuring victor arcane who i adore)
Add some cute details to the cane if you want! You can add stickers, colours, grip support. And while I love the concept of cane swords those are very unstable, if you want a cane weapon you can make it lead weighted, put knives in it. A poison vile in the shaft. Be creative.
Just some of these components are important to consider with a disabled character. There’s a lot more to consider with wheelchairs and walkers which I don’t have the experience with.
If you do have any questions my asks are always open to questions about this stuff! I’d love to help if you’re making a disabled character.
