just some recent sketchbook pages
I think it’s valuable to see artists’ unfinished/process work. It helps to show the amount of work that goes into art-making, and it helps other artists to remember that not every thing you do is a finished product and that’s okay.
I still remember seeing Gustav Klimt’s sketches for the first time and how reassuring it was to see that he also scribbled over faces and figures when they didn’t work out lol.

Scarf for a cousin, #2.
A combo of synthetic and organic fiber, rather blasphemous.
Dreamed that my eyeballs fell out. I poured some contact solution on them and popped them back in.
Dreamed that there was a really creepy monkey outside my house, so I had to bring the cats in. The monkey was yellow, had big hollow eyes, and a big smile filled with sharp teeth. It's nipples were swollen and distended as if it had been nursing recently.
Check it out! I'm one of the featured artists for the Lavender Rights Project art auction, benefiting a legal clinic providing low-cost assistance for queer people and other marginalized groups.

So, along with working part time, taking a summer class online, applying for scholarships, doing art for zines that I've applied to (provided my work is accepted), finding an apartment and preparing to move for grad school, I want to finish this painting over the summer. It's of Saint Christina the Astonishing, and it's going to be a gift for my therapist.

"queer coding" and here I thought you were actually cool
I turn 30 this year. I am freed from the burden of giving a shit about being cool.
Sneak peek at a new technique I'm using for a comic that will debut at the @shortrunseattle
This scribbly ghostly mess will ultimately be a full-color twelve page comic book.
Trying to finish work for that while also moving!
