futurama season 4 operated on such a cosmic galaxy brain level that it low-key puts any other season of television to shame and the writers kinda fucked up putting their whole pussy into it bc they have yet to produce anything that is even half as solid and consistent. you want heart wrenching emotion that makes you cry but also makes you smile so big because you just love these characters so much? put on "leela's home world." you want heart breaking emotion that makes you cry and have to shut down from the world for a bit because you don't feel anyone loves you as much as seymour did fry but also that's the whole point of the episode so it makes you have an existential crisis? put on "jurassic park." you want Actually Good social commentary? pop in "crimes of the hot" or "a taste of freedom." you want to celebrate your fav found family? put on the comedic bangers that are "teenage mutant leela's hurdles" or "the farnsworth parabox." you want the best romantic payoff of any television series ever? watch "the why of fry." you want an episode that is utter cinematic perfection? "the sting" is right there. and the ultimate cosmic galaxy brain move of making the intended series finale a fucking musical? just absolute genius work. season 4 will never be topped and sometimes I wonder, why bother trying?
Are you fucking kidding me Joanne
watching gen z and millennials make fun of gen alpha has been torturous. "But they're actually stupid" 1. theyre middle schoolers 2. isn't that what older gens said about us? don't you remember being 11?
it truly is just "impulse reaction to cringe <- has not yet unlearned shame"
the cycle continues let me out of here
guys. guys I think we should kill cringe culture

i love this type of post
hot take apparently but i think it's good for white people to relate to poc's art. i think it's good for straight people to relate to queer art. stop acting like we're different species who could never possibly understand each other what the fuck is wrong with you
I had a nightmare last night that the muskrat guest starred in Futurama for a couple of episodes as some random character and it was horrifying, I still remember the dread and depression I felt:(
at the risk of beating a long dead horse. i just. there were MANY valid reasons to dislike kamala harris as a politician and i do understand why a lot of people were not thrilled to have her as the democratic nominee. but at the end of the day, everyone understood that only one of two things would happen after the election: either she would win or trump would. that's IT. there was never going to be a revolution that took the corrupt system down overnight, or a miraculous reformation of the electoral college that allowed [insert your preferred 3rd party candidate here] to win at the last second. it was always, always, ALWAYS going to be her or him, and most of the people who refused to vote for her on moral grounds frankly should've known that.
and here's the thing. i think most of them DID know that, they just expected her to win - and, let's be honest, WANTED her to win, not because they actually wanted her in office, but because anyone with a brain could see she was still the lesser evil to trump. (if you come on this post with "both parties/candidates are the same" bullshit, i will block you because frankly at this point there is no getting through to you, at least not for me.) i think a lot of leftists who hated her policies (again, often for valid reasons) decided they could afford to not vote because they expected everyone else to get their hands dirty and vote her in. they expected her to win, and trump to be gone, and then they could stay on their high horse and feel good that they didn't have to compromise.
except everyone else didn't vote her in. and now we're stuck with trump for the next 4 years. and now our best hope for the next election is probably someone who will start to clean up his mess rather than implement any major progressive policies, because that takes longer than 4 years, and it also takes having people in congress who will work with you.
and obviously the real blame here lies with the people who voted for the fascist, and the fascist himself, and the system that protects him. i'm not denying that. but i do really feel like a lot of the leftist non-voters took a gamble and it backfired really fucking hard.
