I would like to preface this by saying FUCK YOU PEPPER!!!

it all started with this stupid set of messages....

And with that... we have.... the PVPciv genetics post... begin...

Alright so first off the dominance chart.

Swords are implied to be common enough to farm for durability, even at wood level where their only worth 59 points vs the unenchanted bows 384, tridents 250, and wood axes 59 (same as swords). Additionally, axes are fundamentally the same as swords and even have access to material upgrades in the same way swords do, implying that there's something specific that makes swords the better farming option. (Outside of potential lore things we might learn more about in season 2). With that, we make swords M (dominant) and axes m (reccesive) , the M standing for melee.

As swords are the most common, with axes being the other melee gene, we can infer that ranged combat has an incomplete dominance with melee, meaning if the offspring is heterozygous melee-ranged, they display the melee gene and not the ranged gene. Because tridents are rarer in game and have lower durability, ive decided to make them recessive to bows. We'll make bows R and tridents r, for ranged.

We have two potential leftover groups now. Crossbows, who we havent heard about in cannon, and as such im putting down as a theoretical gene, "c", and shields who i fucking hate.

Alright so shields? what the FUCK is up with shields??? So theres clearly less of them than swords in the sword faction, implying rarity, HOWEVER we have no idea if their in the other factions??? so are they super rare? are they so common their in every group?? are they like a middle ground??? what the FUCK is up with them???

So we have two possibilities here. Either their Dominant over every other gene, or Recessive to every other gene. I fucking hate them. Making them D/d for defense. fucking assholes.

Time to break this fucking thing down. Alright so Full square is homozygous, half n half is heterozygous. Dominant/visible trait on the right. Color key top right. Also, for the sake of not having "whoops all swords" i picked the most recessive/bottom left corner of my puntte squares, we cool? So we have one of each pairing , ignoring sheilds and crossbows. Sword-Axe, Sword-Bow, ect ect.

First up, Sword Axe and Sword bow. we have two swords, each with their non-sword parents weapon being carried.

Similar story here, exept we have one sword and one axe, both carrying the trident gene.

And this ones Axe-bow, With the axe carrying the bow gene and the bow carrying the trident gene.

Onto gen two, we get a little silly here, and my comment about how the squares work comes into play.

Our homozygous sword couple ends up making an axe! This is through god-meddling though, and they actually have a 75% chance of making another sword. Another set of Sword-axe and Sword-Bow, but there is a chance for a homozygous Sword here.

This couple had twin tridents! for my sake... this project is a big enough mess as it is and i needed two squares so they get two.

And our last gen 2 couple, axe-bow and bow-trident. They get a beutiful baby bow, carrying trident.

Gen 3 bay thank god its almost over

Our first trident twin gets married to the Axe here, and they end up with a bow! just like peepaw, wow, amazing.

And our second trident twin here ends up with another full-trident.

Now, for funsies, heres the chart but with me picking the top right/most dominant gene square and to show you what i meant by "whoops all swords"

As you can see, their all fucking swords. exept for that one singular axe in gen 3. Whos kid is a sword. Their all swords. all of them. No wonder these bitches getting farmed good got they ate every other gene.
