Every time I see the tumblr logo I think “evil Facebook,,,”

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

If you’re mentally in a tough place, I suggest checking out cognitive behavioural therapy! You don’t have to talk to anyone about anything, which I know is a big no-no for a lot of people.

Coping mechanisms like bullying, including cyberbullying and doxxing, will only make you feel worse long-term! And ofc you’re hurting people by doing that.

the selfship community has to get more comfortable with the fact that women, lesbians, sapphics and feminine-presenting/aligned people exist in this community and i'm really tired of people pretending like i'm crazy for stating this, actually. like we in this community are way too comfortable throwing women & sapphics under the bus whenever something doesn't go our way, like rants about people not properly tagging female reader x readers immediately devolving into aggressive misogyny just because it's easier to do that than to criticize something people are doing that makes you uncomfortable. it's also easy to ignore posts like these because they make you uncomfortable. stop pretending like women and sapphics are responsible for your oppression.
