I guess whenever men get a microphone, for a podcast or hosting an award show, they always have to be assholes, huh?

The really insidious part of fatphobia, especially in medical settings, is that any and all weight loss is seen as a good thing when you're fat

For example. Today I noticed that I must've lost quite a bit of weight (a jacket I could barely zip up a few months ago now fits with room to spare), and I have no clue why. I eat. Eat a lot, actually, and a lot of snacks and sweets. I don't work out much, not nearly enough to explain anything

But if I were to go to a doctor, I'm 99% sure they'd just tell me it's good I'm losing weight and dismiss me

Unintentional weight loss is a symptom of a lot of conditions, but fat people regularly get dismissed

By the way, this is where the persistent myth of "being fat leads to health problems" comes from. Because it's true, but not in the way people are taught

Being fat leads to health issues, because the health issues of fat people get dismissed and ignored until it's too late

I hate when I’m playing Dress to Impress and someone who joined late walks out saying that they joined late(that part’s okay, they didn’t have enough time to finish), and I figure that they aren’t going to win because why would they? So I don’t vote for them or anything, but then they get like 2nd place or something! Like I worked hard on my outfit for the full time and someone that just changed the skin color gets more votes than me? Stupid.

Brother with Mental Health Challenges and Cerebral Palsy Is Homeless After Landlord Illegally Evicted And Assaulted Him

Hi everyone. I’m so sorry to veer off from our normal topic of cats, but we have nowhere else to turn. On approximately November 27th, 2024, my brother was forcibly - grabbed by the sweater and tossed out - of the residence in question. This was after the landlord began telling him he needs to move immediately because he was moving a family member in.

As it stands, I live in rent geared to income housing and so does my mom, so they’re strict about not letting in other tenants other than those stipulated on the lease. Furthermore, I have my own ailments at the moment and need the room I have for my equipment and medical supplies. Right now, my mom and I are bouncing him between places. This has been hard on his mental health, he has schizophrenia, cognitively functions below his age level, and has cerebral palsy.

Right now we need first and last months rent for him because he had just moved into that place and disability only gives firsts and lasts once a month. We also need food and some things to get him setup in a new place. If you could share this or give even just $1, we’d appreciate it so much.

Here’s my moms PayPal, click here if you can donate ❤️

…I-

As a military kid, I moved a lot. I would love every 3-4 years so all of my friends already had their best friends since like kindergarten and I had to stand to the side smoking. I knew I was probably intruding but I was lonely and a lot of them really were inviting but especially in high school whenever I moved fresh from middle school to another state and started freshman year, it took me all the way until March to finally make a permanent friend.

Boosting this because I want to help

Imagine waking up to the sound of explosions, your children trembling with fear as they clutch onto you in desperation. The home you built with love and dreams is now rubble, and the memories of joyful celebrations and laughter have been replaced by the cries of hunger and hopelessness.

@mahmooud-sharif2

This is the heartbreaking reality for Mahmoud Al-Sharif, a 34-year-old father from Gaza. Mahmoud, his wife Soha, and their three children—Retal (12), Joud (11), and Nageh (8)—have lived through unimaginable hardship. Before the most recent devastation, Mahmoud had completed his life’s dream: building a business that would provide a future for his family. But war shattered everything. Their home, his workplace, and his ambitions were obliterated. Now displaced, they live in a makeshift tent, struggling to protect their children from cold nights, malnutrition, and disease.

The trauma doesn't end there. Mahmoud bears the physical scars of past wars, including a severe eye injury and damage to his hand, making it extremely difficult for him to rebuild his life. His children face worsening health issues due to contaminated water and food, and inadequate living conditions, and the family is haunted by the ever-present threat of violence.

Despite the destruction, Mahmoud remains determined to provide safety and a brighter future for his family. With your help, they can afford the costly evacuation from Gaza to Egypt, access life-saving medical care, and begin the process of healing and rebuilding their lives. Every donation, no matter the size, brings them one step closer to hope.

Please consider donating to their GoFundMe  [HERE], or sharing their story so others might help.
