In case anyone was curious what the inside of the DC Superhero girls looked like.
I'm planning on heavily modding the arms, so I swapped them out for donors that I don't mind cutting up. The cuts along the seems are pretty gnarly, but i'm planning on filling the gaps when I resculpt the neck.
Does anyone else with autism get that brain thing where their mental dictionary just randomly decides to become unavailable? And all you're left with is describing the word or saying close approximations until someone says it for you?
"The big... Cleaner. In that room."
"The washing machine?"
"YES!"
I’m off to the woods ! It’s been too long, I need to sit in a creek and forget some things.
Cornelius of the Ether Realm a.k.a Cornball
Yep, that's what I'm going with.
Quickie Giveaway!
For some reason, the pic post of the bigger Khoshehk sketch is going around again… and I’m getting a lot of asks about him. He’s still not for sale, sorry. The kittens still aren’t for sale either, as Commonplace Books still prohibits fan merchandise sales. They’re giveaway only.
However, I will give away one of my last remaining kittens. This one is a really stunning translucent green resin with blue pearl powder, which gives it the appearance similar to labradorite. He had an unfortunate accident where I dropped him right on his little head and broke one of his horns, but it has been securely superglued and he’s in good spirits (not biting or hissing anymore).
Anyway, for a chance to win him, just reblog this post from the source (so I can see your response without having to go to your blog) and tell me what you would name him.
I’ll pick a winner on 4/1. I’m not sure if it’ll be random or if I’ll pick based on names I like; I guess it’ll depend on what kind of day it is.
The graphic designer in me weeps with unfettered joy. Also, I'd by the shit out of these ads if they made them into prints.

For Kyle's faceup, I used Liquitex Solvar Matte spray with MSC UV Cut as the last coat to cut the shine. Without it, he looked like he was sweating or had especially oily skin. Probably going to use this method with all my resin heads from now on.
Snurby.
Pics of Timothy where his shell is more visible.
I thrifted a bunch of boxy girls ages ago and this is the first hybrid I finished.
I ended up having to make a neck knob out of a screw, since I really didn't want to cut open her head after having so carefully sliced it off her body. Her clothes are Monster High with misc Barbie accessories.
Basically spent the day cleaning heads, since tomorrow will be good face up weather. I'm also going to try Liquitex matte spray sealant and see how it goes. n_n
