The Cowper's neighborgs AU (season 1)

I want to expand on this AU where the featherington are the Cowper's AU.

Like I said before, at first Cressida and Penelope weren't friend. Cressida was just another bully, just like her sisters. But being far from the bridgerton she had to confront them more often than not. I think in their childhood Cressida would value Prudence and Philipa's friendship more because they seem that they would be more popular once on the marriage market. I headcanon that in her childhood years her parents, mainly her mother, were nicer to her. But unlike Portia, lady cowper didn't want to shield her daughter from the harsh reality. She told her that her main goal before entering the marriage market was to surround herself with people that would elevate status.

Cressida would look down on Prudence and Philipa but with Penelope it was worst. She wasn't that unpleasing to the eye but her eloquence was lacking.

At some point Cressida's grand mother dies, she was the only member of her family who was affectionnate to her, it affected Cressida greatly and the only one who noticed was Penelope. She offered her a silent support that she needed most at that time. She acted less vile against her after that. They truly became friend close to their first season. I think during the first or second ball of the season. It had been really hard on both of them and Cressida was acting particularly vile that night wich had become rare. Penelope actually snaped and told her what she had on her heart.

They had a back and forth that made them realise they had more in common that they thought. They started to become friend after that. When Cressida's parent ask why she would surround herself with the likes of Penelope Featherington, she simply said that it would paint her in a better light and enhance her beauty. Her mother had doubt about that but her father couldn,t care less. The only thing he wanted was for his daughter to find a husband as quick as possible so he can get rid of her.

Their friendship is really diffrent from Pen and Eloïse's friendship. For Pen and El, their friendship was always comfortable, kind of like a refuge especially for Pen. But with Cressida it's more of an understanding, they are both in very grounded in their reality but with very diferent views of their futur.

I like to think that in their first season they were less worried about their futur. Penelope was still hopefull and dreaming that Colin would one day reciprocate her feelings, and Cressida was certain she would find a husband easily in her first season. Cressida wanted a high prize, she wanted the prince, she aim and she missed, witch was even more upseting concidering that Daphne didn't even marry the prince afterward.

The end of their first season was hard on both of them, but since Pennelope had shown support for her when her grand mother died Cressida decided to do the same. During that time, in-between season, they became really close.

Neteyam was probably never going to be the olo'eyktan of the Omatikaya. I know this is treated basically as canon in the fandom, but we have no evidence whatsoever – neither in the movies or other sources – that he was the olo'eyktan-in-training. His desire of becoming a great warrior and the pressure he felt did not come from the fact that he was the next chief, but from the fact that he was the firstborn son of Toruk Makto and a legendary warrior in his clan.

On the other hand, in the Visual Dictionary Kiri is explicitly described as wearing garb that resemble that of a tsakarem. It’s a very specific detail to include, and to me it indicates that she was meant to succeed her mother as tsakarem after Mo'at had passed the role of tsahìk on to Neytiri.

We also know from Mo'at/Silwanin/Neytiri that, at least in the Omatikaya clan, the role of the tsahìk seems to be hereditary. The tsahìk and olo'eyktan usually become a mated pair (like it also would have been with Jake and Neytiri in the future had they not moved to the Metkayina before she could succeed Mo'at), so it makes only sense to assume that Kiri was going to become tsahìk and lead the Omatikaya alongside her future mate, but that Neteyam was never destined for that role to begin with.

I think we can also assume a similar thing for the Metkayina. In the Visual Dictionary, Tsireya is said to be the tskarem, but with Ao'nung it’s not suggested that he will be the next chief.

I could be wrong, of course, this is only speculation and traditions can change. We have also seen in AFoP that there are different dynamics between olo'eyktan and tsahìk in different clans, like Nesim and Minang who are sisters and Ka'nat and Etuwa who are father and daughter (although she did inherit the role from her mother).

Anyway this was just a reflection on a really popular headcanon that is treated like actual canon by the fandom, very much like many others “facts” that were actually just completely made up by the fans or have no actual proof in canon.

First meeting

I had this idea of a Aonung x human oc in the back of my headfor a while but I didn’t have a clue how to begin writing it. I made some montage with pinterest picture and then I made something with those two images.

And something just clicked so here is how my oc met Aonung.

Aonung needed to clear his head. The villagewas celebrationg the new young warriors. He would lie if he said he didn’t feel jealous of them. He had failed once again. He didn’t understand why his father found him unworthy of becoming a warrior. Right now his parents were tending to his little sibbling. The boy was only a few months old and he was receiving more praise from his parents that Aonung ever heard of. His little brother had fetch them a piece of food and presented it to them. His eyes shine, eagerly waiting for their praise and approval and he got it immediatly.

His parents looked proud of him, his father pat his hair affectionnely and his mother took him in her embrac3. Did they ever treated Aonung like that? Were they ever proud of him for simply existing or was it that their first child would forever be a disapointment in their eyes?

He shook his head and dived under the water, away from the crownd and toward a place he liked to go to when he needed to be alone. A cave, not too far from the village but hidden enough so that he was the only one aware of it’s existence. It was a peacefull place. There was a small waterfall in it that made a sweet sound that helped him relax.

He made his way through out of the water and followed his usual path. He was reaching the netry of the cave when he heard a voice humming. It was soft and playful... and sad strangely.

He entered the cave. A girl was bathing under the swall waterfall. The glowing algea in the cave lake aloud him to see her clearly. He knew what a human was, he had heard stories about them, he met some of them and onewas even living among them. But this one was different. It was a female human, he had never saw a female human before. She was as small as a child but she obviously was not. She might have been about his age even a bit older but he wasn’t sure.

By default he was warry of human, they were demons in his eyes, even the one he knew. Maybe some of them had good intention but he was sure they would eventually succumb to their nature. They were evil.

That’s why a vrrtep, as innocent as she looked had nothing to do so close to his village.

"Hey!"

He screamed. When he’ll tell this memory, he’ll say he doesn’t remember what he said afterward. Just that he approached, splashing the water around and startling the girl. He reached her and she looked up at him. Her eyes were dark, it was like staring at the night sky without the stars. He remember stoping himself. Her hair lifted up from her soulder. They were like anemone, moving like waves around her face.

The both of them were froze in place. He wanted to chase her away or make her a prisonner but it was like his brain stoped working. He was hypnotised by the way her hair moved. Subconsciously he run his hand in the strand of her hair. Was tawtute’s hair suppose to move like that? Spider’s hair didn’t... why wasn’t she running away?

They snap ed out of their trance when an explosion was heard. It came from his village but... their were attacked. It was the human, those vrrtep found them.

The girl an away before he could stop her, and he ran back to the village to help them...

someone on some part of the Internet i dwell on (i don't remember) said that we'll probably see a bit of Portia come out of Penelope this season and honestly i don't doubt it.

They live together in a small town far from any other big cities

Their relation is complicated

They hate eachother but they need eachother to get to the one they love

They met in theur senior year of high school

Adhor had just tranfered from another school and he was new to town.

Amelia on the other hand was born and grew up in this town.

They didn’t really got along. They were both loners and had trouble socialising with their peers for different reason.

Adhor just had trouble in social setings and Amelia...

Well... Amelia had a bad reputation that kept others away...

Adhor’s love interest is Maria and Amelia’s love interest is Diego

They’re respectivel, the pompom girl’s leader and the captain of the football’s team

And the two of them are obviously dating... sort of... you see they have been flirting with eachother for as long as they knew each other but nothing serious

Adhor’s pov

When Adhor met Maria it was like a shockwave went through him. He had spend the majority of his life feeling lonely, seeing the world in shades of black and grey and here come the pompom girl’s leader. An explosing of colors, in her appearance and her personnality. She helped him pick up a book than had sliped from his hand. They looked into eachother’s eyes and Adhor had never seen someone as beautifull as her. She said sorry and her voice sounded like birds singing, she told him her name and it was wonderfull how well it suited her. She was the sun, he was the moon. They were meant to be together.

Amelia’s pov

Amelia grew up in this small town. She knew all of those people. All their hopes, dreams and secrets... she learn how to be discret because everytime someone would attract attention something horrible would happen to them. One time her father won the lotterie and the next day he was gone. Her mom started drinking and in an impulsive decision she took Amelia in the car and tried to drive toward the next big city while drunk. Well Amelia lost her mother and she had to stay under intense medical care for a few weeks. During those days the only one who came to visit was Diego.

He brought her flowers... no one ever brought her flowers. He was so nice to her, he never looked down on her because of her looks. He was handsome and cute and athletic and... perfect. If only his cute attentions stayed the same after she was healed. If onky his eyes and smile didn’t always drift to Maria...

I was thinking about a bridgerton hero AU?

Like in this AU the only wayvto be an official and legal hero is to be granted this position by the crown. Kinda like nobility except the only thing you get out of it is a high salary and a lot of glory.

And the Bridgerton are the more popular family of heroes. They are good looking, powerfull and they a legacy of being the greatest hero family since the apparition of super powers.

I think after Edmund's death Anthony became the leader of the bridgertons (the hero group). Like his predecessors he doesn't have any super power. He rely on the ton's technology, kinda like Batman. He also personally train most of his siblings as his side kick.

Benedict can manifest his drawing in real life. The better the quality of the drawing the more powerfull the invocation is.

Colin can create portals and teleport. He need to have already visited the place to be able to teleport there.

Daphne have sound related powers. She had a short hero carrier before choosing to focus on her music carrier. But she's starting to get more and more attracted to the hero life again.

Francesca also has sound related power butvshe was never interested in hero life. Villains, world ending catastrophes and all those that kind of things were not for her. She would much rather have a calm life with a nice husband. Too bad the man she fell in love with was a hero too. But he promised to be carefull so...

Eloise had extra perception. Kinda like eagle vison. She can see the smallest details from very far away. She refused to become her brother's sidekick. She wanted to be a proper hero without the help of her family.

Hyacinth and Gregory had yet to start their sidekick training. But that's because they haven't discovered their powers yet. In this AU they are teenager, soon they will enter college.

I also have plenty of ideas for the spouses and what their power could be and what kind of heroes they are.

Neytiri and Spider when they’re about to have an argument in front of their whole family:

Cressida: I know we’ve always had this unspoken rivalry-

Penelope: It’s not a rivalry, you’re just always mean to me.
