Linh Phung ‘Magic in the Moonlight’ Fall 2021 Ready-to-Wear Collection
Forever haunted by these lines. Star Wars: Clone Wars, S01E02, Dave Filoni (2008) Andor: S01E09, Toby Haynes (2022)
My cats have this meow that means "please come with me to fix this" after which they'll lead me to the problem in question, usually a empty (or 'empty') food bowl or a closed door they want open. They look at the 'problem', they look back at me, clear message.
What fascinates me is how this illustrates what they percieve as being in the realm of my 'power.' I control the food, I control the door, sure, but my cats love to sit on the balcony in the sun, and it has happened plenty of times that on a rainy day they come get me, go to the balcony and show me... the rain. "Please fix this" they say. "Please get rid of the wet"
"Silly kitty," I say, "I can't control the rain." I then walk into the shower and turn on the rain.
asexual activism is PART of sex positivity. education about asexuality is part of sex education. speaking openly about sex, defying repressive sexual norms, and encouraging people to be comfortable with and enjoy their "unconventional" sexual lives all needs to include the messaging that not wanting sex is fine and that saying "no" every time is not only acceptable but good if that's what you really want. asexuality is not the opponent of sex positivity, it's another arm of it.
So I was thinking a lot about how Star Wars fanon must have changed overtime right? like New Hope came out in the late 70s and Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi in the early 80s. I can't help but wonder what people thought of these characters when the movies were first coming out. Like before Anakin and Vader were revealed to be the same person what did people think happened between Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Vader? What did people think happened during the Clone Wars. How did people think the empire came about.
And then when the Vader/Anakin twist did happen how did that change/impact the narrative people had come up with at the time. How did they reinterpret Anakin/Vader and Obi-Wan's relationship. What did they think the Jedi Order was like? What was the theories they held about how the force worked? After it was reveled that Leia and Luke were twins how did the story fans crafted within their communities change?
How did people think Anakin fell to the the dark side? What do they think were the triggers to the change? What was pre-prequel Anakin Skywalker like?
Padme's name or backstory isn't even revealed until the prequels! How did fans fill in the gaps? What were the names she was commonly given? What did they think she looked like? What was her personality like? How did they think she and Anakin fell in love? When did they think it happened? What were the common ways she died (if they thought she was dead)?
So I guess what I'm asking is if there are any old school Star Wars fans on this hellsite please tell me!

Hey everyone. So, I wanted to make a post about something I've seen in AO3 comments recently and I wanted to let y'all know so you can be careful.
Today, on two separate fics of mine, I got comments from guests with different names that had what looks like a key smash followed by a weird link. They looked like this:
[image ID: two emails from the website AO3. Both show comments from anonymous users with feminine names that show what looks like a key smash followed by a link. The second link says it’s from tinyurl while the first does not appear to be from anywhere specifically.]
Now, it is possible that these are legit comments and these links lead to nothing bad. But, in my experience, this looks like a classic phishing scam or a link to a virus. Honestly, I never open links I see online unless I know for sure I can trust the source. And even then I'm a bit hesitant, since I know that accounts can be hacked. I actually deleted the first email and comment immediately and didn't really think about it again. However, after getting another comment that was almost identical but from a guest with a different name, it makes me think that this might be something bad.
So, if you see these kinds of comments, unless you know exactly who sent it, I'd recommend just deleting them and not clicking on the links. Honestly, even if you know who sent it, I'd still be careful just in case they got hacked. If someone wanted to send you a legit link, they would probably do it with some kind of comment beforehand saying what the link actually leads to. This seems to me like they're trying to prey off curiosity and it can lead to some nasty stuff. Since I know some AO3 writers and readers follow me, I thought I'd post about it here. Similarly, if you see a comment like this on someone's fic, maybe don't click on it either. Again, I can't guarantee this is anything bad, since I definitely did not click on the links, but it's better to be safe than sorry. If y'all could reblog this to spread the word, I'd appreciate it.
Anyway, be careful out there guys! I got burned a few too many times as a kid, so I'm extra careful with links and things now, ha.
EDIT: Apparently, these links are indeed malicious. I checked them in an online link checker, and it detected one malicious source from the link in the second message, but 12 malicious sources in the link from the first message. So, it's pretty clearly a virus or phishing scam. Please be aware!
well you can read so (I have a writing blog on here check it out @rwritingblog)
