Summary: Bam peeling oranges and feeding them to Khun
Bam used to hate touching citrus fruits. His hands, covered in nicks and cuts from his intense training, used to hurt so much when handling them. Nowadays, his hands were much better cared for. He borrowed Khun’s lotion often because he loved the scent of roses.
Now, he was happily peeling an orange and carefully removing the pith with care. He inspected a piece, and after making sure it looked perfect, raised it to his left. Khun’s eyes briefly darted away from his lighthouse and he leaned over. His mouth closed over the piece and he pulled away.
Bam watched him for a moment, waiting until he heard the delighted hum from Khun. He grinned to himself and started on the next piece.
Bam cherished these moments of peace. The test was still months away. They were well hidden from FUG. He finally got to train with his team.
He had time to sit next to Khun and feed him oranges while he worked on his lighthouse.
Life was good.

Summary: A little Khunbam hurt with a side of comfort
Bam’s knee was bouncing, his fingers tight around the fabric of his pants. He would inevitably shred them—he always did—but that didn’t mean that the anticipation of the fight didn’t make him anxious.
He couldn’t care less about his stupid pants, but his friends—
They could also be shredded to pieces if he wasn’t careful. That thought made a whimper slip out, and he chastised himself quietly. There was no time to be weak. He had to stay strong; he had to be brave; he had to be—
A warm hand covered his. Bam looked up into a worried blue. “Bam.”
Bam swallowed hard. He knew that tone. He nodded.
“I know. Breathe. Clear your mind. Stay in the moment.”
Arms cradled him, and he sunk into the embrace. “I’m here for you, Bam.”
Bam closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. Khun’s scent sunk into his lungs like a balm.
“From start to finish.”
Bam wrapped his arms around Khun and held on tight. He only yearned for one thing and it was this.
“Always.”
He was safe. Khun was safe in his arms. And at the end of this war, he would come right back here.
“Always,” repeated Bam, with more confidence and finality.
My best advice for fic writers?
By that, I mean that you should have a friend who will encourage you to write whatever makes you happy.
Self-indulgent stuff you think no one else will like? They’ll devour it.
You’ve stumbled into a new ship? They’ll send you all the prompts you could ever want.
Every fic writer should have someone like that.

Summary: Khun can evade sleep but he can't evade Bam.
Bam folded the bed cover over and smoothed it down. The bed was ready and he just had to retrieve one more thing.
He padded to the living room and some night owls were still watching a movie, but no sign of who he was looking for. The kitchen was cold and empty. The training room was dark and a bit scary looking at night.
Bam pushed the sliding door open and stepped out onto the patio. There is where he found his partner, nodding off in front of his lighthouse, hands still hovering over the keyboard. Bam laughed lightly as he approached him.
“Khun-ssi, come to bed.”
Khun grumbled as rubbed his eyes. “I’m almost done, Bam.”
A startle yelp rung out as Bam scooped Khun out of his seat and made his way inside. There was some poignant sighing, but no complaint as Khun rested his head on Bam’s shoulder.
No one gave them any looks as they passed by the hall to their shared room. It wasn’t the first time, and it certainly wouldn’t be the last.
Bam gently put Khun down on the bed, only to find him already quietly snoring. It took a bit of finagling to get the covers out from under him, but he managed to tuck him in. He went around to his side of the bed and settled in under the covers.
As soon as he shut his eyes, hands were reaching out to him, tugging at his shirt and pulling him to the center of the bed. Bam winced as icy hands slipped under his shirt and pressed against his warm skin, but he didn’t mind when he heard the soft sigh from Khun, who was now hugging him close.
He was cold now, but later in the night, Bam would have to throw the cover off because of Khun’s body heat. He wasn’t sure if it was firefish-related, but he dealt with it nonetheless because he couldn’t bear to push Khun away.
Bam smiled and closed his eyes, sleep coming to him easier now that he was comfortable with his other half.
