One Plus One Equals Three
Part 3 of "Park Jonggun Came Home With a Little Surprise"
Previously on part 2: the origin of the mysterious toddler was finally revealed. The little girl was known to be a part of your husband's dirty agenda.

Your biological clock rang an alarm inside your head, waking you up from a deep slumber. A feeling of soreness on your whole body started to kick in.
Must be from last night, you thought. Your memory wandered to what went down the night before, when you and Jonggun decided to get frisky after soaking in the tub together. You passed out after God knows how many rounds.
You reached out your arm toward Jonggun's side of the bed, which you knew was empty by the time your palm touched the silky sheet. Had he left for work while you were sleeping?
More room for me! you cheered inside, rolling and stretching your body to your heart's content. As you basked in the comfort of your king size bed, your mind began to wander again. Last night was quite eventful. First, your husband came home with a child and then- oh, shit!
Has she eaten? did she wet her diapers? did she cry asking for her parents?
You kicked the covers off your body, completely ignoring the soreness that still lingered on both of your legs. Then you quickly picked up your night robe from the floor because no matter how panicked you were, rushing out of the bedroom naked was the last thing you wanted to start the day with.
As soon as you stepped out of your bedroom door, you looked for Ms. Oh, one of the few housemaids who worked for you and your husband.
You found her in the living room with... wait, what's the child's name again?
The name was right there at the tip of your tongue, but you couldn't seem to recall. Not sure if it was because of drowsiness, or you just had a poor memory.
"Samonim, you're awake," Ms. Oh noticed your presence before you said a word. She gave you a warm welcoming smile, which you returned. Seated on her lap, the child was giggling at Spongebob that was playing on the TV screen.
You breathed a sigh of relief. Thank God she's not making a fuss, you said to yourself.
"Mr. Park left for work this early morning," Ms. Oh told you. You answered her with a simple smile and a nod.
"You must've been taking care of her while I was asleep," you said, glancing at the child who was happily giggling.
"It's not a difficult task, Samonim. Yena is a very calm kid, and she always seems to be in a good mood too."
Oh right, her name is Yena!
"Has she eaten breakfast yet?" You couldn't help but be concerned about the kid's wellbeing. It was already unfortunate enough that she's taken away by a stranger. At least somebody had to make sure she was well fed.
"Yes, Ma'am," Ms. Oh answered reassuringly. You nod in satisfaction.
"You don't have to worry, Samonim. Mr. Park has already instructed me to take care of his niece. He was concerned that you might feel burdened," she added.
His... niece?
A snort escaped your nostrils despite your effort to hold it in. You tried to hide your inelegantly wide grin with the back of your hand.
Wow. What a nice cover, Mr. Park.
"Ah... Yes. My brother in law had asked us for help with babysitting Yena for the week. He's a busy man, like my Jonggun. I guess workaholic-ness does run in the family." Feeling creative, you bullshitted away to add more lore to the premise that had been built earlier.
Brother-in-law, my ass, you thought. You knew damn well Jonggun was an only child. And on top of that, he didn't want you to feel burdened? Since when did he become... like that?
You were impressed by how well your husband- Shiro Oni, one of the most dangerous fighters in the Korean underground, hid his true nature behind the façade of a well-spoken generous man. The housemaids in your home, your neighbors, the security guards of the apartment building, as well as your acquaintances knew Park Jonggun as the son of a wealthy Japanese businessman who came to Korea to expand his family business.
But you knew who he truly was. You, a pretty young thing whom he found years ago under the captivity of his enemy. He took you, cleaned you up, dressed you, and helped you get back on your feet. You fell in love when he said you could make his life seem normal. As an orphan who felt unwanted for most of her life, hearing that somebody was willing to live a normal life with you was the highest compliment you've ever received.
So he put diamonds on your ring finger and declared you his wife. And from then on, you both lived your life like a normal married couple despite your husband's dirty job.
You were forever indebted to him, anyway. If it weren't for Park Jonggun, you probably wouldn't be able to see the light of day and have a successful career of your dream.
If people knew about you and your husband's story, they would think it was a marriage of convenience in which you acted as your husband's cover up.
You chuckled at the thought. And of course, Ms. Oh mistook it as an amused giggle you directed towards what Mr. Park Jonggun told her earlier.
"Well, then. I'm glad to see Yena in good hands. Thanks for taking care of her, Ajumma," you said.
You stole a glance at the clock above the TV. It's already eight. You would cause inconvenience if you arrived late to your modeling gig. Because the term fashionably late is just another word for irresponsibility.
"I'm going to get ready for work," you excused yourself from the living room, then went on your way to clear your tasks for the day.
You heard a "ding" from your phone just before you stepped into your en suite bathroom.
It wouldn't hurt if I checked that out for a moment, you thought to yourself and went ahead to pick up your phone that was lying on the night stand.
You've got one text from Jonggun that said:
Wake up, beautiful. You're gonna be late.
And above that text you saw a missed call notification. That was roughly 50 seconds ago.
You replied:
"I'm up. Just about to take a shower."
Another "ding" three seconds later. He replied:
Good girl (wink emoji). Btw, I told Ms. Oh that Yena is my niece.
"I know lol (laugh emoji). I talked to her just now. Don't worry, I've made up a story to avoid suspicion."
Haha thanks, honey. I know I can count on you.
"So how long are you planning to keep her here?"
Until I receive 100 mil from that Janghyun bastard.
"Damn, that's gonna be quite a while. She's gonna need some new clothes."
Just ask one of the maids to buy them for you.
"Okay."
And don't let anyone take her outside the house.
"Why would I do that?"
Lol okay then. Talk to you later. I love you.
"Love you too (heart emoji)"
Conversation ended. You put your phone down and went on your merry way to the shower.
However, you couldn't deny, it felt strange having a little child in your home. Especially when the child was not yours. And your husband took her from someone. She was technically a hostage!
Considering your track record of having been held hostage before, you felt sorry for the child. But you couldn't do anything about it, could you? It was a part of your husband's profession. Soon he'd retire so he wouldn't have to do this anymore. All you needed to do was just hold on until then.
Keeping Yena safe and comfortable while the adults do their job is the least I can do, you thought to yourself.
This world is a dark place and it's too early for a little girl like her to be aware of that.
Zamn zaddy, no wonder Ms. Kim's got the hots for you π
Jake will break his remaining limbs like he broke Xiaolung's
I hope you lost another arm Fr
Honey, whose child is that?!
Part 2 of "Park Jonggun Came Home With a Little Surprise"
Previously on part 1: Jonggun brought a toddler home. You wondered whose child that was.
Read part 1 here
"Park Jonggun, answer my question," your voice was so calm yet so stern.
"Whose child is that?" With your arms crossed, you stared down at the man before you to assert dominance.
So what if he's a mafia boss, who's also a kyokushin karate master, who most likely could chop you in half with his bare hand? Screw that. You wanted answers.
"Should we do this now? When the kid is sound asleep?" Sighing, Jonggun took off his Dior sunglasses and put them carelessly on the mini bar top before proceeding to walk toward the kitchen.
Your jaw dropped in disbelief at how calm his demeanor was, considering the situation you both were in.
"Yeobo!" You whisper-yelled while helplessly tailing your dear husband, only to be ignored by him.
"Wow, it smells so good. What are you cooking?"
"Kimchi-jjigae," you answered shortly, hoping he would drop the act and address the elephant in the room.
"Oppa!" Gosh darn it, you really didn't want to whine. But you had to. What else would you do to make him stop ignoring you?
"What?" He responded lazily. His eyes never left the steaming hot kimchi stew you cooked and served less than five minutes ago. It was true that you wanted his attention, but not this way.
This is more exhausting than making dozens rolls of kimbab, you thought to yourself.
In fact, the said kimbab rolls are nicely plated on the dining table. And Jonggun was stuffing his mouth with one of them.
"What? What? Ya, Park Jonggun, you brought an unidentified human infant to our house. What do you mean, what?"
"Her name is Yena," he said. "There. Now she's identified. Are you happy now?"
"Not quite. You haven't answered my question," you said, joining your husband at the dinner table. You glanced at the sleeping Yena, who was still curled up in his embrace.
What a poor baby, you thought. She's taken away from her parents by your thug husband. He must've done that to threaten them. The reason behind the threat was unknown to you, but you were certain it was related to his line of work.
That was when you felt a click in your brain.
"Don't tell me..." you shifted your glance to Jonggun's dark eyes, "you're planning to get ransom money by kidnapping a child?"
He let out a chuckle, seemingly amused by your guess. "You are quite sharp, my love."
You almost swooned by his endearing remark, but you didn't let that get you off your serious mode.
"So, is this your new business line or what?" you asked.
"Kind of..." he shrugged.
You rose from your seat, then walked around the table toward Jonggun. You offered to hold Yena. He appreciated your considerate gesture. That way he could eat his dinner comfortably.
You were quite amazed at such a heavy-sleeper she was. She remained calm when you moved her from Jonggun's arm into yours.
Then silence filled the room, while questions filled your head. The love of your life seemed to notice your silent curiosity.
Cute, he thought to himself.
"Are you perhaps interested in hearing a story?" he said, finally.
"Well of course I am. Pray tell?"
While cradling Yena, you positioned yourself gently onto the chair next to him. Jonggun began to talk about how the man he was working for requested him to gather a huge amount of money to fund his business. He told you how he was supposed to meet that request by collecting 100 million Won worth of deposit money from each gang of teenagers from all over Seoul.
"So basically one of the crews refused to hand over their cash, so I took their leader's daughter."
Crews. That's what he called the gangs. Groups of teenagers who ran various illegal businesses to earn money so they can deposit 100 million Won to Jonggun every month. Some of them managed to still keep the remaining income as a profit, while some of them didn't. The few others couldn't even fulfil the deposit. That was when Jonggun had to eliminate them.
"Why don't you just, you know, eliminate that crew instead of taking the trouble to kidnap her?" you inquired, gesturing toward the sleeping toddler in your arm.
"Because I see a great potential in their leader. I think he would be a perfect successor for me. You know I'm going to retire soon."
"You crazy bastard," you remarked sharply despite the smirk on your face. You couldn't deny that his story amused you. It always felt like an adventure just being by Jonggun's side. He's very... thrilling.
"And you love me," Jonggun retorted, winking. You rolled your eyes at his cheesy act.
Jonggun thanked you for the delicious meal, then planted a quick kiss on your temple. He announced that he was going to take a shower and told you to leave Yena to the maids' care.
"Wait, babe!" you called out to your husband after one of your maids took Yena from your arms.
"Yeobo, let's wash together!"
You followed the love of your life to the master suite. At that very moment, you were glad the toddler was not your husband's mistress's child. God forbid if he even had a mistress!
Edit: part 3 is here!
So... I tried creating Jake Kim in The Sims 4.
I never knew I needed Lookism CC until now π₯²
Also.. I spent a lot of time picking his traits π
this is absolute prompt. somebody please write about this
Imagine Sammy meets your dad and your dad is Gapryong?
Man.... I kinda wanna make a summary of Generation 0 history. Because among all the recent arcs, the story of Generation 0 is what intrigues me the most. I wanna focus on what makes the gangs who they are. Their origins. How such powerful syndicates exist in the Lookism universe. How they operate. What their motivations are. Ya feel me?
I mean i love the boys and girls from Generation 2 and all, but the fighting technique and power scale thing are getting kinda boring...
Even the "uniting the 4 men crew" thing is kinda meh. Eugene has already got his hands on almost all the crews' powerful people like Eli, Warren, Samuel (yes, he counts 'cause he's originally from Big Deal. Now he works for Ilhae), and Johan (he might dgaf about 4 men crew anymore, but he works for Baekho, who has relations with Ilhae).
Hell, Eugene even imprisoned Big Daniel. Now little Daniel is still under Gun's mentorship. Zack is also still on his spiritual journey with a monk as his mentor. So uniting the 4 men crew is still a long way to go.
Though i might change my mind if Big Deal, Sally Park + the runaway family, Burn Knuckles as well as J High kids become allies and do something cool later.
Or... if Baekho betrays Ilhae because Lee Dogyu has something going on with Park Jinyoung that is related to the death of Kim Gabryong.
OR... if Johan betrays Ilhae because he's actually in love with Im Rua (I see potentials).
Wow, that's a long rant.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk ππ
Edit: I wanna see Samuel's hidden agenda being revealed. The guy has made his own crew with K-House. He has Jang Jinhyuk. THE frickin' Jang Jinhyuk, a clever mastermind who made all members of God Dog turn their backs against Johan. Even Jonggun thinks he's smart af. Such an overly underrated character he is. And Samuel, too, is such an interesting character. All hail King Samuel.
Anyway, the question is: does Eugene know about Samuel's crew tho???
Sigh... Okay, enough rants.
LET US ALL APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT SAMUEL SEO USES HAND CREAM!!
It's right there on the left corner.
But you gotta squint real hard to see what it is, y'all.
SEE??!!
IT SAYS "HAND CREAM" ON THE TUBE.
I'm so sorry but this blows my mind.
"Samuel, I- "
(looks around nervously)
(whispers) "Why bother keeping your hands soft when you've got blood on them?"
Jake got Jerry's head as his profile pic. No debate.
