true :( which so true gods i was forced to wear skirts and dresses and make up and especially pink cause that's what all girls do and they are liking it while i wanted a real bike and judo classes and archery and to serve or at least work in the government of course i ended up hating all of it but especially pink i only started thinking about it agaon in the last year or so got an epiphany this spring after psycheval and getting needed help i looked at Amy Rose (Sonic franchise) and went oh.. i like her never happened to me before EVER i always loved gender non-conforming characters that were comfortable and confident with who they are they were doing and wearing whatever they wanted no shit right wonder why huh lol so i looked at Amy and lost all rational thought for a few days a was running and seriously considering the merits of dying my hair neon pink as a statement and a therapy method i'm still thinking of it i want some new pink clothing i want some dresses i started doing some of the light make up just for fun (never for social causes fuck society) i'm still not comletely comfortable and confident as i am with my usual styles but i'm getting there i am fucking free and if you have read this far you probably wondering how in seven hells it's related to barbie film? for one i'm absolutely happy that people are getting this very same experience and getting there making peace with themselves my head is still reeling all those monthes later it's a life changing experience it's really important 2nd: both my story and the barbie exp are part of large gender normes issue and female media representation that do not work anymore
