Sephiroth: ”Pumpkin Soup. I Wanted To Try It…”

I’m gonna recap what I can for the Sephiroth Dragon Quest story when I’m 100% sure it’s finished, but so far the rough idea is Miniroth getting isekai’d into the Dragon Quest world and working to help this creature called Monin, while also trying to get home. There have been cute moments and they bonded.

♥ - family headcanon

Loveless was almost something Genesis bonded with his parents over. He got it for a birthday from them as a kid, along with a lot of other classics, and one of the few times they really did something *as a family* was when Genesia convinced them to take him to see it for the first time. It was as they were leaving and they kept shrugging off everything he had to say about it that he realized this wasn't going to be something he could share with them. They didn't have anything to say about it. Later, when he was older, he'd look back and understand that they didn't care about literature or the arts so much as the prestige those brought them, just as they did not care for their son so much as the prestige he brought them.

♒ - cooking/food headcanon

He's actually a pretty decent cook! He learned when he was young, first from observing Gilian/the Hewleys when he'd be at their house, then on his own because he wanted to spite his parents by making his own food whenever he didn't want to eat whatever they put in front of him. It's helpful when he gets to Midgar because he generally hates the food from the mess hall. He doesn't often make himself food, though he can; he prefers to eat out or eat what Angeal makes him because he likes feeling pampered. He's fond of filling stuff like soups and steaks because they're a lovely act of self-indulgence, whether he's indulging in base hedonism or letting himself feel loved.

ൠ - random headcanon

It wouldn't be right to call him "sickly" as he is still wildly beyond most people in terms of health in durability, but Genesis is a bit more prone to physical illness then the other 1sts. His thermoregulation isn't great, he gets sick more often then them (which is to say he does get sick whereas they never seem to), he takes longer to adjust whenever it's time for another round of mako injections. The difference is small enough that no one actually really notices or cares, except him. Anytime he feels a bit under the weather he takes it as physical proof of his inferiority. Even his immune system can't keep up with Sephiroth.
