Thinking about the lyrics from ballad of Lucy Gray but applied to Haymitch and Maysilee Donner, and his girlfriend, and his family, and literally all the people haunting him while he slowly drinks himself to death after winning the games
So many in thoughts in my head but just that Ed had to kill Lucius because he represented who he was becoming, Lucius encourages his soft side, supports him through Stede leaving, is himself a creative and the most open about his sexuality on the ship, so Ed throwing him off board to commit to his Blackbeard persona is really just him shoving down all of what he could have been and had with stede and the fucking tragedy and OHMYGODITHOUGHTTHISWOULDJUSTBEAFUNNYSHOWABOUTPIRATESHELP
Gotta love how pierce is constantly called Jeff out for being gay when Troy and Abed are RIGHT THERE
If you need a reminder we’re in the darkest timeline look no further than the outline of the adaption of into the woods we could have had back in the 90s
This version also would have had all the creatures in the movie played by puppets made by the Jim Henson company.
WE WERE F@*%#<€$¥ING ROBBED
No, but I don’t think you understand, I don’t need therapy I have studio ghibli
Guardians of the Galaxy is the story of a Racoon who flies a space ship and it had me sobbing on the floor.
It’s about outcasts, overcoming abuse, learning to love yourself and those around you.
It’s about forgiveness and guilt and family.
It’s about all the ludicrous little details surrounding life that make it bearable.
…I just really like the fucking raccoon ok?
Don’t know if I trust the way Christopher Nolan writes women for him to be allowed to tackle anything Greek mythology related
This has definitely been pitched before, but petition for a remake of les miserables where everyone is a muppet except Javert
8-year old me watching Aang debating over how to deal with firelord Ozai:
Rating every season of Community:
Season 1: lots of iconic moments, Troy and Abeds rendition of somewhere out there combined with Chang’s chaotic dancing and the deans Dalmatian fetish, but overall not nearly as unhinged as later seasons 7/10
Season 2: HELL YES, do I need to say anything further than the paintball episodes, the zombie outbreak ABBA extravaganza and what has to be the best Christmas episode. This season also gets points for the development of the group dynamic from season 1 9.5/10 (Virtually perfect but I don’t love the episode where Pierce gets swindled by a moist towelette heiress only for the two of them to bond over their racism🤢)
Season 3: I’m so biased because this is easily my favourite season but I mean come on- REMEDIAL CHAOS THEORY- the darkest timeline, the iconic evolution of Chang from security guard to war lord. This season also has the most character development with Troy’s whole messiah arc and his conflict with Abed in pillows and blankets. This is the only season where I feel like the characters learn from their mistakes and it ends in such a good place with the group all moving on with their lives 10/10
Season 4: this is literally referred to as the gas leak year, Dan Harmon wasn’t there, ‘nuff said 2/10 (and only because I like the die hard episode)
Season 5: a return to form from the gas leak year but the second half kind of falls apart after Troy leaves. Some iconic episodes like the ass crack bandit and the lie detector test after Pierce dies. The final episode with Troy also nails the departure of Donald glover from the show and it’s genuinely heartbreaking to watch him and Abed say goodbye. Pretty good but not my favourite 6/10
Season 6: six seasons and a movie is half true already so keep manifesting everyone. I love the introduction of Frankie she is easily the most underrated character on the show love the fact she is presented as being so rational and grounded but she is just as weird as the rest of the gang. This was a solid season with good stories and a perfect ending to the show. Only thing that could have made it better is if Troy came back. 8/10
You guys I think I cracked it- I don’t think vecna is going to try and kill will, I think he’ll try to BECOME him.
From what we saw in the flashbacks Henry is described as sensitive, a word also used to describe will (obvious queer coding can’t lie) and they’re both in a sense outsiders even in their own families. Will is also a wizard in dnd, will the wise, whilst vecna is an evil wizard, implying he’s a dark version of will-
If will was taken to the upside down for a reason, which volume 2 is going to establish he was, and he’s part of vecnas plan, then it’s possible 001 wants him as a host body since he’s stuck in the upside down and can’t reach Hawkins physically, only through getting into the minds of his victims.
Maybe Vecna knows will also has the potential to lock into some kind of internal mental power, like he did when he was young, and this whole thing, the stuff with the mind flayer, all of it, has just been to prepare Will as a host body and possess him so he can return to the real world?
Imagine the tragedy of wills friends (MIKE especially!!) looking on as he’s taken over by Vecna and the chaos begins
EDIT: I stand by this theory for season 5 fyi
