Today I read Scream Street 5, 6 and 7
I'm just surprised at how quickly things have matured. I don't know if it's just me, but I thought from book 5 to 7 things got really heavy. In book 7 the characters They look extremely tired and stressed. They don't laugh at their own jokes because it seems like they only make jokes to keep from freaking out!
Luke and Resus have been fighting throughout Book 7, but it's simply because they're tired and freaking out! Luke is doing stupid things and Resus is very serious, and it's confusing to anyone watching them Having so much fun during the other books! The poor guys deserve a minute of peace :/
That said, I loved it, I'm looking forward to reading the next ones.
My list of favorite StSc books
The favorites, the ones I love, The good ones, The "whatevers" and the ones I don't like (Sorry Cleo, i love you but books about mummies are annoying!)
Did anyone ask for more Trevor drawings? No? Well, There it is!
Trevor meeting Shan! Despite his wolf side, I'm sure he loves the kitty, just like Resus!
I was thinking more about how Resus and Luke raise him, and I imagine Luke is much more liberal than Resus.
But here it depends on whether it's from the book or the series, because Resus in the book is much less careful than the Resus in the series, who is afraid of many things and even doesn't like to get into trouble with Luke's crazy ideas
Cleo adores her nephew, and is the only person Luke and Resus trust to let babysit.
In book 7, Luke and Resus fight all the time, But at no point do they make peace, or talk about their differences.
The truth is that Luke is desperate and having bad plans, and Resus is stressed with everything that is happening, and guilt probably consumes them both, after all, it all started because of them.
So I took advantage of the perfect moment when they get stuck in the office, and inspired by the amazing fanfic of RatLover202, I decided to rewrite the scene the way I imagined it, and I made a drawing of the fic :D
The tag says about the ship "Luke/resus", but you can ignore it because there's nothing really explicit, I wanted to really focus on the friendship and how they need each other.
It's posted on AO3 in case anyone is interested, on the profile of a great friend who helped me write it :)
Trevor is shy, he likes to hide behind Daddy Resus's cloak
In the image on the side he is already 10 or 11 years old.
I drew this perfect family! Wolffang + Trevor
I really wanted a modern style for Luke, but a traditional style for Ressus.
I also think that Ressus has slightly longer hair, more or less above his shoulders, but I didn't know how to draw that with the cape's collar.
A little bit of the trouble Cleo gets into in the 4 books (that I've read so far) could have been avoided if Luke and Resus stop to flirt for a minute and not leave her behind.
I love that even if they are with Cleo or Tee in the same scene, they ignore everything and just talk and exchange jokes with each other.
I use the translator, forgive my English.
I base myself more on the books, but add some aspects from the series, so here, Resus never really became a vampire.
Name: Trevor Watson-Negativ
4/5 years old
Half vampire, half werewolf and there's still a little bit of human. He has blue eyes like Luke and black hair like Resus.
He wears an Egyptian amulet that he got from his aunt Cleo.
Luke and Resus sometimes argue about how to dress him, and how much he can't do it himself. Resus likes formal and traditional clothes, and Luke likes casual and comfortable. But they always come to a consensus. They have a great balance regarding Trevor, unlike his parents, Trevor's grandparents.
Resus' parents would like him to raise Trevor in the traditional vampire way, especially if he feeds him blood more often.
They don't say it, but Resus believes his parents don't think he knows how to take care of a vampire, since Resus wasn't born with vampire abilities.
Luke's parents would prefer Luke to raise Trevor as humanly as possible, just as they raised Luke, but Luke doesn't want to suppress his son's monster side.
The Watsons and the Negatives argue about the best way to raise Trevor, so Luke and Resus prefer to care for them the way they think is best, and come to agreements much more ease.
I was a little inspired by Hotel Transylvania 2
Can we talk about how perfect the Negative family is?
Resus is 10 years old, but in his intentions towards his family we see how independent and responsible he is. Okay, he is a bit weird, but he knows how to take things seriously when necessary.
He also takes charge of many situations without his parents having to ask him to. He is respected in his family environment, his opinions are taken seriously and his parents have never put his authority over him, treating him as an equal, even though he was very young.
He also talks several times about his vampire culture, actually taking pride in his lineage.
Kian is only 6/7 years old, but think about it, he managed to survive alone, without his mother, until he was found by the movers, while being chased by people with pitchforks!
Resus talks several times about the past of vampires, and explains that they developed agility and balance skills to escape pitchforks, torches and stakes, skills that he managed to inherit even though he was almost normal.
So, the vampire parents explain to their children from an early age about the history of vampire persecution, and teach and encourage them to be independent so they can survive on their own, even when supposedly out of danger.
I must commend the Negative family for the excellent creation of Resus. (Even though he carries body parts inside his cape and offends human rights with his jokes)
Here are Resus and Kian! Resus being 17, and Kian being 9/10. (A friend did the math, vampires age 2 times slower)
How I imagine this party will work:
It's a dance to celebrate love, so couples and friends have fun together. It lasts from sunset to sunrise, with half of that time being a time for families and even children, and then until sunrise, a moment for couples and lovers, with romantic and slow music.
Resus' mask represents his vampire half, as he still feels bad, even at 17, about pretending to be a vampire, especially at a party to exalt his monster side.
Young Wolffang
I watched the series and I'm reading the books.Simply in love with these two
