During my English class we had to choose an object and then write a POV text of that object. At the end of class we presented our text in front of the other students with a background music. The music I recited my text over was 'Introduction (titles)' by Danny Elfman for Edward Scissorhands.
I really enjoyed this exercise. We had to adjust our speech (tone and pace) according to the sound. We didn't train beforehand, it was interesting to go live and not really know what to expect !!
I would love to share it with you !
Obviously you won't have my tone and pace but I tried to edit it so you can interpret how it was performed with the sound !
Enjoy the reading !

It’s dark.
I can’t tell where I am. Yet I know exactly what surrounds me.
I can feel the cold concrete beneath me.
Hard and dirty.
Here. There is a dead bee.
There. A living spider building its web.
It’s on the lawn mower next to me.
I smell mold.
The smell of old.
I got used to it.
There is a light breeze bringing an intoxicating smell.
Gas.
I feel inebriated.
I feel light touches.
It startles me.
I don’t know what it is.
The touches move quickly.
There is a pattern.
1.
2.
3.
4.5.6
7.
8. It stops.
A silky thread touches me.
Then again with the touches.
1.
2.
3.
4.5.6
7.
8. Silky Thread.
The spider !
Where is it ?
It’s on me !
It’s making a web on me !
I feel it moving on my limb !
No !
Move !
Move from here !
It’s bright ?
It’s bright !
I can’t tell where I am.
Yet I know exactly what’s happening.
I feel something warm grabbing me and dragging me against the cold concrete.
The warmth opens me up.
There is a freezing gust entering me.
A loud SCRAAAATCH breaks through the air.
I know this sound !
It’s my turn !
It’s the seed bag being CRACKED open.
Seeds fall inside me with a comforting sound and gentle tickles.
The warmth grabs my limb firmly.
The spider ?
Where is it ?
Where is the spider ?
I don’t feel it anymore !
It’s gone !
I am pushed into the light.
My wheels face the ground then the bluest sky I have ever felt.
The sun skims my whole body.
It’s cold then warm all over again.
Cold then Warm.
And Again.
Cold.
Warm.
Cold.
There’s a CLICK!
It’s my cue.
The handle on my limb is pushed.
It’s my cue to free them all.
My cue to spin.
So I spin. And spin. And Spin
The seeds spin in the sky beautifully.
So they spin. And spin. And spin.
Finally.
I can fulfill what I was created for !

Thank you for reading my work !
I hope you enjoyed it. I would love to hear what you thought about it and if you understood what my object was !
I would also say that English is not my mother tongue. Would you then excuse potential typos or weird phrasing.
Louis :)
I started reading The secret history by Donna Tart.
You can’t stop me now.
I’ll devour each letter typed on these pages relentlessly.
"Morning light can make the most vulgar things tolerable."
-Donna Tartt, The Secret History
Just finished it. I am flabbergasted by how good it was !
I finally can stop feeling ashamed of cutting my own hair with scissors.
I started reading The secret history by Donna Tart.

Hello there !!
Finding a book to match the song you love at the moment is no easy task.
I based most on the lyrics that kind of made me think of a relationship in a book I read recently.
The truth about the Harry Quebert affair written by Joël Dicker. It is the story of a young and successful writer who goes through a writing slump (let’s say it that way). He visits his mentor, Harry Quebert, in the New Hampshire and discovers that he had an affair with a younger girl decades ago. Not long after this discovery the body of the girl is found on the property of Quebert. The main character decides to put everything aside and investigate on what truly happened.
It is a book I loved, it keeps you hooked from beginning to start. The writing is smooth and everything’s flowing perfectly.
Beware you might read it in a sitting despite the length of the book (trust me you don’t get bored reading it and don’t feel the length).
What I liked the most was that it is a pure human centered work. We are meeting people in this book, they are so nicely written that it is easy to imagine them in your room. Just like if you were watching a play.
I hope you will have the opportunity to read this book and can’t wait to hear what you thought of it.
My current favorite song is no definable. It’s hard to chose when there are so many options.
But I think I will chose Duduk of the north by Lisa Gerrard, Hans Zimmer and the Lyndhurst Orchestra.
So I came up with a game.
Reblog this post and name a current favourite song. Your followers (or whoever else sees the post) go listen to the song and recommend a book based on the song. And importantly! Recommend a book to the person you reblog this from based on their song!
Oh and feel free to of course make a new post if this gets long, and if you so wish, tag some people to get recommendations.
Anyway, let me start. My song is Burn Your Village by Kiki Rockwell.
An old FIA rule says that unmated omegas aren't allowed to race in any category of motorsport. Because of that, Charles Leclerc has been hiding as a beta since he first presented as an omega-until a breakthrough heat destroys how hard he's worked and reveals his designation. Ferrari, facing a major loss in sponsorship money, offer him a choice: leave Ferrari and motorsport forever, or agree to an invite only auction for the rights to mate him, with proceeds filling the hole in the budget. Charles comes up with a plan to save himself, get an alpha he trusts, get Ferrari's money back, and keep his seat. Unfortunately, Max Verstappen comes up with a plan, too.
Note to myself :
Just write it down before it goes away.
Just write before your sanity goes away.
Just posting this here to remember it later for my WIP

Adobe is going to spy on your projects. This is insane.
Okay.
So, I'm working on this project for the Nikon Film Festival. And I'm meeting one of the potential actors in like 30 minutes. I'm so stressed and anxious because it's kinda of the first time -well it is the first time- that I'm directing a short. But at the same time I'm thrilled that this is happening and so glad that I'm able to lead this project and do something creative. It's a bit fucked up.
Like, the mixture of feelings in me right now, is driving me crazy. One second I'm scared and think it's a terrible idea, because I'm being vulnerable making this short. But then I'm on top of the world because I do something I love.
