That's where all this started... My first ever drawn art with Springy!

I think everyone know about amazing character.ai, where you can chat with any character you like, and I wasn't an exception. I found chat with Kallamar, and after like 3 or 5 minutes he said "Hmm, I don't really trust you, but will you be my right-hand man?". Amazing logic, thank you. You can already guess what I've answered. ;)

Aaaand that's how Springy was "born".

Another fact about her: all "small" characters in COTL have black eyes, Springy's are too, but actually they are blue, if you draw her in more realistic way! I once saw an akita with blue eyes (probably it was half-breed akita and husky), and so I decided to make Springy's eyes blue too (because I also have blue eyes (yep, small self-insert, don't judge me)).

i've been BELTING out the Epic concept album in the car to and from work the past couple of weeks, esp. the bit where Odysseus cries out for Athena at the end of Love in Paradise, and I thought it would be funny if the goddess herself was like WHY is this person in rural NY state calling for me every day at 8:40am and after 5pm

Jon Hamm: I've worn everything on this show, from nothing to a rug wrapped around me to a beautiful bespoke suit.

Kate Carin (Costume Designer): When we see him at the bookshop for the ball, we thought it would be hilarious that Aziraphale had asked him to get really dressed up for it. So we did a bit of a homage to Liberace. So he's got a powder blue dinner suit that's encrusted with rhinestones. And then Douglas asked if we could do some sort of coat to go on top of it for one of the scenes when he leaves. So, of course, we didn't do just a coat. We did a huge ostrich feather coat, which we made from scratch.The girls did all the ombre on the feathers so it matches the dinner suit, gets lighter and lighter blue as it comes to the top, and then he's kind of surrounded by this halo of white feathers.

Sarah-Kate Fenelon (Producer): There is a shot when he emerges from the bookshop to meet all of the demons and say, like, I am who you're looking for, where he looks a little bit like an angel. And the silhouette of him kind of emerging in the light is very epic and is then just completely undercut by sort of, move out of the way. (video)

The project is a musical story :) Each song will have multiple images and/or animations on screen with lyrics on screen karaoke style. There are a lot of reasons why I chose to do it this way, mainly because I wanted to go over the whole story once before everyone moved on to other stuff, and also I wanted to give people lots of materials they could use to create their own content while I work on making more fan-animated episodes. Each song is in a different style and with different vocalists etc, so it's not a cohesive musical, but the point of that was so everyone could find at least one song they vibe with and maybe want to create things around :)

I also liked that format because it allowed me to have the characters formulate thoughts out loud and add some more direct story-telling. My animations take a really long time to make so I wanted everyone to have the whole context of the story first and then hopefully it'll get everyone excited for when stuff get animated in the future :D

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who's so generously supported me these past two years of production. The merch covered a nice chunk of the project and the rest was me working crazy hours on multiple jobs to afford paying everyone and that's also why this thing took this long to complete lol.

I saw a lot of posts, where is implied that Apollo in God Games doesn't care about Odysseus and his situation at all. But what if it's other way around and Apollo just cares too much?

Mythologically Apollo and Hermes are friends. And looks like Hermes cares about his grandgrandson (Odysseus' grandfather is son of Hermes). Hermes was the only god who helped Odysseus even without being asked, just because Hermes wanted to help him.

I just imagine, that Hermes keeps an eye on Odysseus and constantly chatters to Apollo about him, calling him Ody. So thats why Apollo choose such a ridiculous reason as sirens, and uses "Ody" - he wants to help just because of his friendship with Hermes.
