DHMIS Theory

ok, so imma just say spoilers for the DHMIS tv series, but i feel like that's a given.

so. i've seen theories around about yellow guy being david and him having been hit by a car, and i agree with those. but many people, including matpat, believe leslely was the one driving. but, in episode five, when time child arrives, they have this symbol on their chest

the yellow one with the battery is clearly yellow guy, and the green one with the egg is clearly duck. which leaves the red one with the road. this is what got me thinking that red guy could've been the one driving the car, and i know that that could mean anything, but lets look at the cars.

the car they drove in episode five says "LE5L3Y' on the license plate, so that implies it's hers. however, the car that hit yellow in the 'dream' sequence is a different car.

the one that hits yellow guy in the 'dream' looks like a volkswagen bug, whereas the one that they're driving doesn't. plus, even though he struggled to turn it on, red guy seemed to know how to drive it. almost like he'd driven a car before.

now, why is he in this world if he didn't die? idk man. maybe it's a punishment of sorts. maybe lesley's teaching him lessons about how the world works to say 'it's wrong to run over children'. or maybe he is dead. idk what happened after the car hit david. that's the thing with this show. duck is implied to be the pet (with the 'dog' having his head and a few pictures in his wallet) but he's there too- maybe he was even the one who ran into the road, causing david to chase him (idk what that bird symbolizes)

or maybe i'm over thinking all of this. who knows.

Currently reading: Re-reading my own fanfic again and again to inform consistency and proper pacing for the later chapters I’m still writing… @_@ it’s madness at this point lol. Aside from that, I recently read a few issues of Conan the Barbarian. Less for the content itself, but larger for anatomy reference for Simon.

Currently watching: I’ve been watching people play and review Castlevania romhacks, specifically for Castlevania 1 and 2. I’ve also spent the last few days watching video essays and cut content videos about the Classicvanias.

Currently craving: There is this pastry I really like from a local plant-based bakery. It’s a monstrosity of a croissant because it’s also a chocolate chip cookie. It’s absurdly sweet, soft, and delicious.

Coffee or tea: Coffee all the way. An iced americano with a little oat milk is my go-to. :)

A hobby I’d like to try: I want to get back into going to the gym consistently, or try rollerblading again. I stopped swimming weekly as well. I need to get back to it. Apart from that, I've always wanted to learn an instrument.

An AU you’ve been plotting: I keep thinking of these really silly modern ficlet scenarios for Simon lol. Thank you so much for tagging me, Crow! now that i have finished watching the baron omatsuri movie and scoured ao3 for related fics....WHERE ARE THEY? there's legit like 6 out there, even with the intense angst potential the movie gives you. luffy having nightmares. chopper worrying about Luffy's wounds he won't say anything about. zoro having a weird fear that he failed his captain somehow. luffy being a bit skittish around sanji because the words 'this is all your fault' keeps echoing in his head. even though they are all safe and can't remember a thing, maybe they wouldn't have suffered if luffy hadn't insisted on playing? luffy getting anxious every time sanji and zoro do their normal bickering, or when nami and usopp's voices rise even a bit. the crew being puzzled by it all. luffy panicking when he feels like he hasn't seen one crew member in a while. there's soo much you can do. like come on, the movie served us angst in plates and bowls and also gave us the required seasoning. we need to make use of it!!!

"Sunlight Here and Shadows There"

This one ended up being much longer than most of the other epilogues, but I suppose I had a lot to say about the kittens. I've always been really fond of their designs and personalities, so I wanted to dig into what they might do when they grow up. They occupied an interesting place in the story - more of plot devices than characters, putting pressure on the rest of the characters whether it was about who'd they mate with someday or how to feed them properly. I like em a lot!

From this issue on, I'll be disusing the tag "bluebellkit" and replacing it with "sky", although it'll still be available for old posts. Please only refer to Sky with that name and he/him pronouns!
