why must a goalie “perform” in the modern nhl? is it not enough that he’s kind, and has a nice smile, and is trying his best? bring back the days where nhl goalies were swiss cheese. why should he have to rise to THEIR level? why must we not lower ourselves to the standard HE is setting? justice for jack.
Leafs discourse is literally just the barbie monologue. Like if they don't show emotion they don't care but if they dare exhibit any frustration they're whiny children. They have to stand up for themselves and play with grit otherwise they're soft but they can't be too aggressive or you're a selfish liability. Have to be confident, but not cocky, play nice with the media even when being asked the most invasive questions lest you be labeled undeserving and rude etc etc
You said it Kristen.
P.S I'm so happy she still covering the Leafs even though she now at espn which is very well deserved and not the tsn leafs beat reporter.
Does anyone know why Mitchy hasn’t played the last two games? I miss him:(
when santa doesn't sneak a hockey player from the toronto maple leafs under the tree :/
kyle istg if you don’t get me soup rn, i will personally come beat your ass. no cap.
gender is a game and im losing. gender is a sport and im sitting in the grass picking flowers
i can finally listen to shawn’s music without feeling embarrassed
I just saw the tom wilson thing and uh.... what the fuck??? He is such a dangerous player. He's going to seriously injure (paralyze) or kill someone. He really has no respect for the game or the players. How much longer is going to be allowed to play in the nhl while he does things like this?
And the fact that the caps social media team made a meme about it & caps fans are defending him. Insane. There are lines and he crossed all of them tonight. You can defend a player, but only when they deserve defending. He could have killed someone. And he was allowed back on the ice. And people are celebrating him.
I get that hockey is a physical game and that it can, and often does, get violent, but there has to be a limit. I like the fights just as much as everyone else, but that wasn't a fight, and wasn't something that should have happened. It definitely isn't something that people should be defending.
At the end of the day, hockey is just a game. It should never be put over someone's life. The nhl seriously needs to do something about him.
