"I don't meddle with the unintellectuals" get this Fulgrim slander out of my face. Fulgrim worked tirelessly for the common people of Chemos before the Emperor found him, and he carried those values of lifting up the downtrodden with him throughout the Great Crusade, and likely beyond.
Big fan of this reddit "chose your husband" primarch memes depiction of Konrad. I don't like the Dorn one, it makes him sound like an asshole and I have varying opinions on the rest. But the Konrad one is perfect.
And I like how his dark and gritty nature and cuddles were actually connected kinda like a trauma response rather than the generic edgy guy.
Also this glorious comment by redditor Jaxolotle:
And?
The point is never "It would be a better story if this happened". Nobody is saying "The Horus Heresy would be a better story if Fulgrim didn't fall to Chaos".
‘if only fulgrim didn’t pick up the sword he could have’ could have what. could have what. stayed under the oversight of a distant father figure? kept pressuring himself and his sons to be perfect and flawless all the time? been disposed of when he’d served his purpose? i hate you
Goals for the tabletop space battle game I'm working on
Complex ship design with lots of math and crunchy bits
Fast, simple gameplay that doesn't require massive amounts of record-keeping.
I like ship design processes, but sometimes, I just want to get to the part where things explode. So I'm making something with both.
One of the key traits of my homebrew chapter is that they're fighter pilots, so whenever one of my character models fails in a memorable manner, if he doesn't have one already, he's getting a callsign (and a name if I haven't named him by then).
Currently i have:
- Techmarine Takao Mataumoto, callsign "anvil", because he got beat up by a Salamander. Said Salamander was a sergeant--not even a character model, but just a regular guy.
- Captain Imai Kichiro, callsign "Grotslayer". In a battle against the Orks, a grot sniped him in one hit (including a CP reroll for the saving throw) while the rest of the squad remained unharmed from the rest of the unit's shooting.
Blood Angels might have doves. It feels like they would fit. Imperial Fists might have polar bears, since Inwit's an ice world, and bears are quite well fortified.
So I had this idea for some drawings I might do in the future, since my warhammer brainrot has come back.
I remember when I did a sleepy chibi Lion El'Jonhson, during a conversation with a friend, she said he needed a sleeping buddy, a lion knight plushie.
That got me thinking lately..
What if each loyalist legion has their own line of plushies for sale? Like merch!
Their main purpose is as imperium propaganda for kids, but i also thought it would be an interesting source of revenue for a chapter of space marines to have, as well as serving for comfort for the children of the Imperium since the 42nd Millenium isn't very nice all around.
However there are a few questions about the plushies that i have:
- Little space marines are the most obvious answer, but I find that a little too boring, though I think some space marine plushies probably already exist in canon
- Little animal buddies, based off ancient Terran animals and myths, but in space marine armor, while I like this idea, there's a problem with it, not all legions have a clear animal motif I can think of:
Dark Angels - Lions
White Scars - Horses (?)
Space Wolves - Wolves
Imperial Fists - ???
Blood Angels - ???
Iron Hands - ???
Ultramarines - Eagles (?)
Salamanders - Dragons
Raven Guard - Ravens/Corvids
Are they just little guys in space marine armor?
Are there different version of the plushie for different ranks?
Could the plushies each have a common trade amongst imperial citizens (like a farmer or factory worker) instructing children abt those vital roles in the functioning of the Imperium?
Or perhaps they could instruct the different jobs one might have within a space marine chapter, like apothetecary or librarian?
Maybe they each could symbolize a kind of world in the Imperium, like the Dark Angel's represents the Feudal Worlds, the Space Wolves' represent the Death Worlds, etc..?
I honestly find the last 2 ideas very interesting, but I do want to know what people think about this idea in general
Here's an image to examplify the kind of cute plushie vibe of thought these guys would have:
Thank you all for enjoying my rant about plushies and 40k ৻( •̀ ᗜ •́ ৻)
As much as I love Sanguinius, I think Leman is at the top because of how he grows over the Heresy. He's not just a primarch, a demigod of war and a symbol of the Imperium. He's a man. A human person. He makes mistakes, he has regrets, he's not perfect. He's just Leman.
Experiment part 1:
Let me know how you define 'best' in this case. For Imperial science
I actually like Fulgrim's fall, as a story (or at least the parts I've read). I think the people saying that picking up the sword takes away any agency from him are wrong and need to read the books. I think as he is written he is one of the better choices for a daemon primarch of Slaanesh. I just don't think he benefited that much from falling, if at all.

Going to use this luck to ask someone out.
This, more than anything else, is why I relate to the Emperor's Children.
Sure, go ahead.
I swear, if I hear *one more person* simplify fulgrim to just "yassss queen slay" I am going to break something. He's such an interesting, tragic and relatable character and I wish people didn't simplify him to "haha pretty boy".
Call it queer infighting, but I feel like a safe space for GNC people should not have people who insist that being GNC is a pipeline to being trans.
Edit: TERFs fuck off. You are just as bad when it comes to respecting people's gender identity as the people I'm complaining about.
I don't like derailing my own post, but since so many of you people have shared this, it's too good of an opportunity to pass up.
