I still believe that one of the prettiest love stories has to be the love story of the god Eros with Psyche, while the story of Appollo with Daphne is a beautiful yet heart wrenching tragedy in a way that it had love and disgust.. (one sided love). What's really magnificent about mythologies in general is that they make us see the world differently. A laurel tree is no longer a tree; but a last attempt of staying pure from the hands of the detested one.
Everyday I stumble on beautiful parts of this book which makes me fall in love with it even more.. i found this passage really sad..
So fucking cool i had to repost
In my first year university course there was a class I remember as being mandatory (at least for English majors) about fallacies and biases in writing. And this prof was all about reading the whole article before you formed your argument. That was his whole thing. You know measure twice cut once he was read twice respond once. He stressed this so much that on our final exam (which was two long form essay questions and a few short answer questions) that I decided to read the WHOLE exam booklet before I grabbed my pen.
Turns out that is what he wanted. The final page, the final question, informed the student that if they wrote 1. Their name, 2. Their student number 3. Their favourite fallacy, and wait for 30 minutes so they don't arouse suspicion, you will literally be given 100 percent for the exam WORTH 40 PERCENT OF YOUR GRADE.
I think about it to this day. The prof literally saw the "reading comprehension on this site is piss poor" and said I can fix them

The Greek Class didn't destroy Richard, he brought that on himself.
He chose to be destroyed and I am sure a part of him wanted to be.
He's the type of person who wants to be different, to be admired, to be apart from normal people.
That's why he tried to get in the Greek class in the first place even when Julian rejected him ounce, he wanted to be with the elites, to be exclusive.
Richard does show remorse for his actions at times but that doesn't mean he didn't find it thrilling.
He wanted an adventure, to see a tragedy, to be part of something dramatic and exciting. He was bored in his little town, around distant parents and normal friends.
He has always felt like he was above other people and he does look down on others who don't understand or follow his ideals.
His idolization of the Greek class is the reason he got destroyed, he was blinded by the opportunity to be included and accepted by them that he didn't look back at the mistakes he made for them.
Richard's story is a cautionary tale about foregoing your sanity and ethics for a broken, one sided friendship. They used him again and again, he did everything for them. Never questioning what he was really doing.
In the end, he was never a part of their group.
He was just there.
Tate buds are a special sense structures that can detect five categories of flavor: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umami (savory). Spice is not detected by these receptors, and instead, is picked up by nociceptors (pain receptors). Our brain can interpret that pain as a taste: spicy. But, since it is not detected by true taste receptors, it is not counted as one of the five flavors. This is also why pain tolerance is related to spice tolerance. And, as a fun fact, this means that any nerve receptor on a mucosal surface can "taste" spicy (eye, nose, genital, and anal mucosa are all included here). Have fun with that last fact, lol.

It was honestly hard for me to make these pngs and I know it looks kinda messy but its good enough imo ♡
In light of Imane Khelif's lawsuit against jk Rowling, and in the same vein as Tim waltz' "weird" I think we honestly should just call joanne a bully literally any time she starts Terfposting. Like a cat with a spray bottle

whenever fics or headcanons or even (very cute) fanart depicts Will being embarrassed by Hannibal's praise and adoration I'm like take a good LoOk at this bitch:
he would GLOAT, he would stare at a huge framed drawing Hannibal made of him laying naked in the garden that hangs in the middle of the dinning room and be like "hmm yes I look magnificent" and sip his little wine.
i hate it so much when someone wants to get closer to Allah so they suddenly start to speak more arabic, even change their own dialect to a Saudi/Yemeni dialect... lose personality and literally try to become Arab instead of muslim. You can read Quran in Arabic, recite it, say Dhikr but it stops there. Why are you changing your own way of talking to sound Arab?
It's sad that nowadays we associate being muslim with being Arab, which is totally wrong. They suddenly switch to writing with an Arabic keyboard and shit like that. Just accept the fact that you can be non Arab and muslim, and be proud of your ethnicity and also avoid trying to make yourself a Saudi/Yemeni woman by trying to dress like them or talk like them, you look weird. I swear that aint getting you more Hassanat lol.
