Deciding how.. "smart" or something like that someone is based on how they function in an environment with every aspect fine-tuned for people who's brains function in a vastly different way from that person is like putting a professional artist in a Chemistry lab with an organization system that only the Chemist who owns the lab can understand and expecting them to cook a recipe they have never heard of and do not even know the ingredients for. With only the things already in the lab and a four minute time limit despite the minimum cook time of twenty-three days.
The Zelda you play as might go on to become Hylia. Why she named herself after a lake I know not, I shall not presume to know the iner machinations of a goddess
probably already done, but here's my take:
Echoes of Wisdom takes place at the beginning.
Before the cycle, before Skyward Sword, before Hylia even came around.
I HAVE EVIDENCE (maybe)
First, the creation story, as told by ome of the goddesses. They made the world, Null isnt happy about that. No other creation story (ahem, looking at you Great Deku Tree) talks about Null or any voidlike entity. Furthermore, if my memory is right, Hylia isnt even mentioned in Echoes of Wisdom.
Which means that the whole part of the golden goddesses asking Hylia to watch over the triforce hasnt happened. Why? Because they've had no need to do so until now. Nobody even knew where it was. The Prime Energy was not for mortals to hold. Civilization hasnt gotten to the point of power-hungry people yet.
So, Hylia isnt around. There is no "blood of the goddess" yet. That's why the prophecy calls for a priestess. Someone who can communicate with the goddesses. Done.
Link is just...Link. Just some kid. No reincarnated spirit, he's just a guy who wants to make his world better.
This isnt as in depth as I wanted to make it, but I might make a seperate post with more details.

Reblog if you have EVER been affected negatively in ANY way by school so I can show this to my teacher.
so: imagine percy being a regular at a diner, right?
and he goes there enough times that they even put a "blue" option on the menu, right?
and then, slowly but surely, more demigods start going there separately, right?
so the diner employees just collectively calls them, "the regulars," because they all this weird, cryptid-like aura to them, right?
but then, one day, they all show up at once with varying amounts of injuries, and the diner employees are just like what the f—
What about lowering their hp stat? (That is, seting their maximum lower so that healing items cannot fully undo what you have done
i find it v cute when rpgs offer me, someone whose sole strategy is “attacking enemies,” status changing effects. “this lowers your enemy’s speed” you know what else would lower their speed? being dead, from my fists
Made an observation from looking at you all talking about your teenage experiences.
