Hajime barely registers the last messages. He doesn’t wait for other replies. Sagging, he lets the phone tumble onto the loveseat to the side of the couch, arms lowering and shoulders dropping even as he glares at the stubborn, lanky problem lounging on his couch.
“You’re being ridiculous,” Tooru whines, arm thrown over his eyes. His phone is still in his hand, though his grip has slackened.
“What’s ridiculous is catching you doing drills on a knee that can barely hold you up!” Hajime snaps, frustration clogging his throat.

but you realize with dawning horror
that you're not just the reader, you're also the writer
and so of course it makes sense if Character A is a cat for 20+ chapters, turns human for only 2 chapters and then has a full-on make-out session with Character B
it makes sense
because you wrote it
and the "it's-logical"-goblin told you that it's logical when you read it
because the logical-goblin is an effin' logical fallacy is what it is
and now i don't have enough foreshadowing

Tooru snaps his notebook shut with a tense face. “Again?” he snipes. “I already agreed about the front-“
“Not that,” Satori languidly interrupts the man before he can fly into another one of his rages. “But I mean, how we tried to get a look at it.”
Tooru narrows his eyes. “You also already expressed your displeasure over my idea of getting a higher vantage point,” he hisses. “Loudly.”

It did get them thrown into the damn river so Satori would really like to emphasize that it wasn’t just pettiness that had urged him to that particular folly. But that’s not the point right now.
