i like to think jinx would want to be the sister she never had

anyways here’s my version of the aftermath of the big fight

Evangeline: *pretending she doesn't remember*

Evangeline: "Hi, good sir, do I know you?"

Jacks: "....."

Jacks: *starts crying*

Evangeline: "W-wait-"

I do sorta wonder if the reason some people are finding it hard to jump to Oak/Wren from jurdan is because their comparing Jude to Wren and Oak to Cardan... like there are parallels but I think we're supposed to compare Oak→Jude and Wren→Cardan.

Rio: *hugging Gwen* And never ever hurt my baby!

Gwen: *struggling to breathe* i promise i-

Rio: Who said I'm talking to you, chica? I am talking to him!

Miles: *not impressed* Sometimes i feel like you abandoned me and adopted Gwen instead

Peter: I can adopt you!

NOT SEEING ENOUGH PEOPLE TALK ABOUT JINX'S LITTLE FOUND FAMILY AND HOW PERFECT IT IS THEMATICALLY!!!

Specifically what I want to highlight is how Jinx found the two most important parts of herself that she lost in Sevika and Isha.

In Sevika she found a new Vi, a new older sister figure. She cannot fix things with Vi, she understands that, but her relationship with Sevika is something she can fix, and she can mourn Silco with Sevika in a way she and Vi could never mourn Vander together.

In Isha she found Powder, the person she once was who she can't be anymore. In many ways Isha gives Jinx the opportunity to protect and love Powder in the way she always wished others would do for her, quite literally Isha heals Jinx's inner child.

I think the idea of Miles being “betrayed” by Gwen, Peter, and Peni is really interesting to think/talk about

I personally feel that when it comes to betraying someone, there has to be intentionality behind it; if it wasn’t intentional, then I don’t think betray is the appropriate word to use for it (granted I’m no dictionary, that’s just what I think)

What happened with Gwen and the others was unintentional; they were in an incredibly tight and uncomfortable place in regards to Miles and Miguel (being friends with Miles and wanting what’s best for him, and working for Miguel and not wanting to disobey him because they think/thought that he knows best) and I don’t disregard that at all

So did they betray Miles? No, I don’t think so. But, does Miles feel betrayed by them and their actions? And is he valid for feeling so? Absolutely yes to both of those things

*Margo and Miles just existing in the same room with many other spider-people*

Fans: "OMG! THE TENSION! LOOK! MILES JUST LOOKED AT HER FOR 0000,1 SECOND! THEY ARE SOOO ENDGAME!"
