Episode 27 Came Out Yesterday! This One Was Action-packed! Let’s Get Into It.

i can’t wait to know what the ‘lead-up’ quintin talked about in his backstory is, what led to him running across the street and getting hit by the truck.

so far, i’m theorizing that quintin and jackie’s parents are divorced? when quintin talks about his dad it’s always in the present tense like he may still be alive. i wonder if the lead-up could’ve been their parents breaking the news of their divorce to the twins, and quintin took off (as we see he greatly admires his dad and listed him as his hero).

i really like how there are these little tidbits in the story getting revealed as it goes, it feels more natural than having everything revealed at once!

who is currently in charge of mun tech industries?? does the rest of the company know that daejung mun is missing or did nathan create a cover story? with nathan’s comment about maybe inheriting the company once he’s an adult, it makes me wonder who’s running it right now

i wonder if we’re going to explore more of the dimensions and their inhabitants. it seems likely that we’ll meet the primari at some point, but seeing the other dimensions where the powers come from would be a plot that they could could spend an entire season exploring. i think it’d be cool to deal with interdimensional cultures and peoples, i’m sure there could be allies and foes all around!

newest episode of jupiter-men is out! my thoughts will be under the cut.

this was an arrio-centric episode, which i’m really glad about because i’ve been wanting to learn more about him. and we got a lot of interesting information!

it also further highlighted the differences between the twins and how it’s continuing to drive some disagreements between them. jackie wants to tell arrio their secret while quintin feels an obligation to keep it a secret from everyone due to the incident at the mall. i personally agree with jackie here, i think the twins could use the extra support and it’d be better for arrio to not be in the dark.

one of my own questions was answered in this episode! i’d wondered if the public knew about daejung mun’s disappearance, and it was confirmed that they do. now i’m more curious about if a temporary proxy ceo will be put in place, and what they may be like.

i’m not sure if arrio calling officer avalon “aunt bee” indicates that they are blood-related (thus making him quintin and jackie’s cousin) or that their parents have known each other for so long he grew up calling her aunt. either way it’s clear that he’s thought of as family.

the episode strongly implies that arrio’s mother has passed away, while also hinting at what arrio was like in the past. officer avalon says how good it is that arrio has “found himself” and that he seems more calm than he used to be. he still clearly struggles with his mom’s death as he changes the subject as soon as aunt bee brings it up. i know i theorized before that quin and jack’s parents could be divorced, but if instead their dad died, i wonder if the two deaths could be related in some way!

arrio got a few extra layers this episode that i was glad to see. makes him more complex, and i’m rooting for him as we see where his story goes. i can’t wait to see how he grows and i really want the twins to tell him the truth because i think he’d make a good ally. if they keep it a secret from him, i fear it might backfire!

i want these two to meet. i feel like they’d be annoyed by each other and would only interact because they both know the twins, which could lead to them trading snark. idk, i just think it’d be funny.
