Chapter 7

Immortal Dilemmas

*Stefan Salvatore*

“Well, first thing we need to do is-“, Stefan wanted to listen to what Klaus was saying but his thoughts were running wild. He just had an epiphany with the hybrid, he trusted Klaus enough to tell him about Hailey, and Klaus had just sworn on his FAMILY name that he would help Stefan. Family is everything to the Originals, the fact that Klaus was swearing on his name made it bluntly obvious that he truly does see Stefan as family. The only thing Klaus ever wanted was to not be alone, to for once not be left out for something he couldn’t control. He had to tell him about Elena, Klaus may react violently but he deserves to know that the answer to his dreams was still alive with human blood coursing through her veins. Klaus swore to protect Hailey, the girl that Stefan loved to the ends of earth and would gladly go through hell for, despite only being able to spend a night with her, he knew that she was his and he was hers. This is the least that he could do for Klaus. Good or bad reaction it’s going to end in one of his brothers, biological or not, throwing a hissy fit.

“-and we’ll likely need to find your mate to make sure she’s guarded but I don’t think normal vampires are going to cut-“, at the mention of needing something stronger than an average vampire Stefan gathered it was better to say it now.

“About that…Klaus there is something I need to tell you…”, he tried finding the proper wording but how can he put it gently that Elena’s real father had decided to exchange his life for hers and as consequence she is still alive and human, capable to be of use to Klaus?

“SHE’S WHAT?!??”, Klaus had said suddenly. Did he just say that out loud?

“Yes! Stefan, you did!”, he gulped as his throat had suddenly ran dry but he refused to look away from Klaus’s eyes. What felt like a thousand years to Stefan ,in reality was only thirty seconds, Klaus’s thunderous and gobsmacked expression quickly melted into a devilish grin. Stefan knew that look and it did not bode well. Klaus’s siblings feared it as it was a sign that he was going to cause chaos and embarrassment for whoever wronged him.

“Klaus I’m sorry, I really am but at the time-“, Stefan was caught off by Klaus’s delightful yet bone chilling laugh. Oh deities above, Stefan was in for it!

“Oh Stefan my sweet baby brother, I’m not angry, I’m just…disappointed”, Klaus said in a faux parental stern tone and trailed off with a sigh. Klaus had officially entered his brooding (pouting) mood, in which at every conversation he is going to have he is likely to rant. And in those rants he will reveal an embarrassing event that Stefan had done or an embarrassing fact about Stefan. Stefan winced, there was only one way to get Klaus out of that mood and it was to do whatever Klaus needed to be done but doesn’t want to do himself. He had to do whatever it is, he needed to uphold his reputation as the Original Hybrid right hand ripper. People aren’t going to take him seriously about him and Klaus being as close as family if whatever dirt Klaus has on him gets out. He’s a forever seventeen year old, he’s done a lot of stupid stuff…especially in the 20’s with Klaus’s influence.

“Klaus…please. You name it and I’ll get it done, just please!”, Stefan begged with his puppy eyes, Klaus figured the task he was going to assign Stefan shouldn’t be too terrible but it will definitely teach him a lesson to not withhold important information from family.

“Alright Stefan, I’ll forgive and forget as long…as your the one to tell my sister about recent developments as soon as she comes home!”, while Rebekah was infatuated with a human named Matt Donavan currently, she also has had a tendency to not let go of the past and be very jealous. Stefan who had recently gained his memories knew this and groaned. He knew it was going to be hard but hopefully after telling Rebekah, Klaus will have pity and restrain her until she can calm down…somewhat. He nodded solemnly and looked like a kicked puppy.

“Now while you figure out what to say, I’ll contact one of my witches and get you a new ring. Rebekah is likely to stay out until tomorrow and by then you’ll definitely need that ring.”,Klaus said with a chuckle. Stefan let out his own sarcastic laugh and quickly sped to Klaus’s liquor cabinet to pour himself something strong.

“Just think of Hailey.”, he muttered to himself. Hailey was the only thing he could think of that could possibly make him happy in this situation. No doubt as soon as he said it his thoughts were flooded with her emerald green eyes and her midnight black hair. Memories of their time together ,whether talking or being intimate, flashed across his mind. An instant goofy smile came to him. Off to the side Klaus had heard Stefan and witnessed his mood changed. He sighed with an exasperated grin, the strong bond between his brother and that girl was stronger than anything he has sensed. If something happens to her and Stefan senses it, then there would be a strong possibility of seeing a feral ripper. Absolutely nothing short of death would be able to stop the carnage until the origin of what caused Hailey pain was destroyed. Hopefully, he can help in keeping her safe enough that Stefan doesn’t loose his mind and that Stefan and her could remain happy together.

So I kinda had this story plot for a while but I have no clue how to keep it going or how to end it but I’m going to share it. This is a story for the ship WinterSpider btw, of course.

So basically it starts about right after Bucky had saved Steve from drowning. In my mind I’m like “ I do not care that this man is enhanced he literally had to pull a man that is made of pure muscle out of water and had just survived another epic battle, he has to be wounded, or tired in some way.” With that in mind I’m thinking maybe he made his way, by stealing a car, to New York where he runs out of gas and ditches the car and proceeds by foot. He keeps getting flashbacks of fights he got into when he was younger against a some guys from Queens. My idea is that with the flashbacks happening and with Bucky still being wounded he just curls up into a ball into an alley.

Peter was patrolling around the city , in his ‘onesie’ still trying to get over the fact that he now has super powers and still trying to grieve his uncle Ben, when suddenly his newly discovered super senses had made him aware of Bucky in a nearby alley. Peter having super senses could smell blood and hear Bucky whimpering in pain.

Now from there I have no clue as to how to build a relationship between them. I absolutely adore them as a couple but I keep coming up short as to how to actually build their relationship up.

But the ultimate climax of the story would be that Bucky had forgotten about Peter until after Civil War because his brain was just a little damaged. But then a new Big Bad is coming and they need all the help they can get. Peter was never recruited by Tony and Thanos was never a thing. But there is still a major villain coming. So plot twist here is that because Peter is the only one of his species, his DNA recognizes this and basically says “ We need more beings like us.” So Peter ends up as a teen ‘parent’(but technically mother since he births his kids) with James Buchanan Barnes (Bucky) as his baby daddy. Peter just believes that Bucky up and left him when in fact James just doesn’t remember. I’m going to ask that whoever makes this story please de-age Bucky a bit so that we don’t get the Cap’s Disappointment Eyebrows. But Peter does give birth to twin boys and he has to come clean with Aunt May because well you can’t hide the fact a teenage BOY is pregnant ,with twins no less. I kind of wanted to name them James Benjamin Parker and Grant Richard Parker. To at least have the boys have something of their father’s and to honor that poor little guy that his former love always talked about being sick and still getting in fights.

Anyways I got off track. The fact is they all needed to get together to help fight of the Big Bad. Peter gets recruited by Fury as I refuse to believe we would ignore a man that could bench press 40 tons (in comics at least). As seeing he wanted to keep his family safe, he agrees to fighting. Peter makes his way into a newly reformed SHEILD ,now called SWORD, meeting room to discuss battle strategy. He had to leave his kids with Agent Hill as his Aunt was just piled in work and Agent Hill said she would be honored of watch such adorable little bundles of joy. The babies aren’t that old maybe just about 6 months old and just love being near their mom. But once coming into the room Peter is suddenly pushed against a wall in the meeting room. With a feeling of someone’s hands on his shoulders he starts to panic and wonder why his spidey sense didn’t go off. When suddenly he looks up to find a very familiar set of blue eyes. But as soon as his mind catches up to him Bucky is being pulled away by Steve who is saying “Buck calm down! He’s not an enemy he’s just some kid!” And Peter is suddenly having to look over the God of Thunder shoulder to see if Bucky was either attacking him or just surprised by his presence that he just acted without thinking. I always wanted to see a fix where Peter has a brother-ish bond with Thor. But then Bucky said a few words that made the whole room freeze “ I know you.”

And of course there has to be possessive Bucky but a overprotective brother Thor to sort of block him. But you know Bucky just misreads it as a guy trying to take away his precious Peter. If these elements can be kept I give permission for anyone to use this plot idea. This could also be a NSFW story but it could also just imply that they did it. Just saying I like those gifs just as much as the next person.

Chapter 10

Immortal Dilemmas

The last two and half months have been…eventful for Stefan. He made good on telling Rebekah his good news and it was met with mixed emotions. She had an infatuation with Matt Donavan but she was only woken up from being daggered a month prior. She was initially jealous and had lashed out a bit when she heard it. While attacking him her anger had became sorrow. All her life she had wished that she could find her one love and then she had heard about mating. A bond that meant to love the other through thick and thin, never to truly be away from one another. It was what she always wanted after learning about it and she had tried so hard to find it in multiple men over the last millennium. Her last attempt had been Stefan then she was daggered and put to sleep for over eighty years.

To hear that he moved on hurt, then everything else had happened and his humanity was turned off, she knew that side of his very well but he was always by her brother never giving her a chance to rekindle what they had. She went out one night to get her mind off everything and flirt with her newest crush, Matt. When she came back to the mansion she was met with a Stefan with his humanity intact and she noticed something different about him. Once she realized what it was she reacted violently, she threw him across the room. They could hear Klaus laughing in the background and after a an hour of Stefan being treated like a rag doll had the males noticed that she had tears on her face, and a sad smile.

“I suppose I wasn’t it for you, was I Stefan? What I had been trying to have for over a thousand years you were able to achieve. I’m happy for you but…I wish for more than anything to just have someone to share the rest of my immortality with!”, she had gone to the ground crying and Klaus had sped towards her and started comforting her. He had always picked fun of her for her failed romances but he knew that in this wasn’t a good time to do so, his sister is too vulnerable to make a joke. Klaus was right about her being jealous but it was more towards him experiencing and having the bond. Since then they became close but it was more of a brother and sister bond. She teases him over being head over heels for Hailey when he had tried to explain more in depth what the bond felt like. In all honesty, Rebekah was grateful to Stefan for sharing something so intimate with her. With that problem dealt with now all he had to worry about is his brother and the rest of the gang. They have become very suspicious and even more into his business once summer had started. They had seen Stefan looking friendly with the Original brother and sister and they didn’t like it one bit. Elena in particular didn’t like Rebekah being so chummy with Stefan. Damon didn’t like that Elena was still hanging off his brother while he was trying to get her to notice him more.

The gang was convinced that Klaus was still oblivious to Elena being human and they still thought that Stefan would never tell him as some part of him “will always protect Elena”. They were in quite a shock when Stefan had decided to finally get Klaus what he always wanted, doppelgänger blood. Stefan figures if he does this it will finally put it in Elena and Damon’s head that he wasn’t a damsel in distress and that it would help with Hailey in the long run. Stefan came up with the idea of forcing Elena’s hand, they needed a way to force Elena to be in debt to them and accept terms. The only way to do that: put her friends in danger. He had heard about senior prank night and decided that it would be a perfect setting. The gang would be in one place and with a certain teen werewolf, who would happen to die if the plan doesn’t go accordingly. Kidnap Tyler and Elena separately, give him Klaus’s blood, snap his neck, and tell Elena exactly what she would need to do in order for him to survive but she would need to agree to follow the terms that Klaus lays down. From seeing that her blood holds the key to all of Klaus’s dreams he is willing to make a deal, similar to what his older brother had once offered. He would let Elena live a full human life and not harm anyone important to her as long as every week he receives two pints of her blood for the rest of her life.

The plan was put to action and all went accordingly. What was better for them is that Klaus has taught him some mild control for human blood and unlocked a lot of memories. He had taught Stefan how to fight and come out on top when dealing with older vampires. He was a lot stronger now and could handle a vampire that was Katherine’s age easily. The plan went a lot smoother because of it and of course having Rebekah’s help. Klaus had posed as an adult catching them in the act, told everyone else to leave to prevent too many causalities. He knew that the gang would stay behind so he promptly put the humans of the gang to sleep with some sedatives he snagged from the hospital. Rebekah handled the vampires of the group by breaking their necks, which should give them a good hour to get things done. They had already gave Tyler Klaus’s blood and snapped his neck, Stefan had carried him in the school and ignoring Elena’s badgering and disappointed gazes…that still has that infuriating longing in them.

At that point he just wanted to shout out loud to the entire town that only one woman had his heart for the rest of eternity just for Elena to stop, but he needed to keep his ‘no humanity’ face on. He and Rebekah knew Elena would be infuriating to convince but at least she wasn’t stupid…unlike his brother. He could hear Klaus proposing the deal after Tyler had come back a hybrid and had his neck snapped once again just to have him out of commission, from outside the school from the roof. He and Rebekah were there just to keep an eye out for Damon and Alaric. She heard them before he could and gestured for Stefan to get ready, he already told Rebekah about Damon having a habit of very badly influencing Elena to do the dumbest things. It was better to catch them by surprise, quietly, and quickly. They jumped down and quickly snapped Damon’s neck and Stefan made sure that he saw Alaric wearing the Gilbert ring and snapped his neck as well. There wasn’t anymore possible outside interference so they both waited quietly outside and shared a smirk when they heard Elena very grudgingly and hesitantly agreeing to the deal. Klaus opened the doors in a flourish with a triumphant smirk, he turned around to face Elena with a still unconscious Tyler in the room when Stefan and Rebekah flanked him on both sides.

“Pleasure doing business with you, luv! We’re just going to head on out and don’t fret just keep up your end and you won’t have to worry about me delivering a horrible ending to your loved ones! Have a great night Ms.Gilbert!”, the trio walked away. Stefan could feel Elena just staring at him, but he refuses to look back. Looking back in her eyes would just give her hope that he could come back, but he’s never going back to her no matter how much she pines and begs for him to. He’s moved on from emotional manipulating doppelgängers to a beautiful emerald eye war goddess. He could hear Elena sniffles but he’ll leave it to his brother to comfort her, he just hopes that Damon won’t try something that’ll ruin the deal. The deal was that Klaus can’t hurt anyone Elena loves, it never mentions him or Rebekah. If Damon tries to cross Klaus, brother or not Stefan will make sure Damon is dealt with. He’ll do anything to ensure Hailey can have a safe future with him and Damon screwing up the deal messes with that plan, so Stefan will feel no remorse in…removing the threat to his bonded. The thought alone of his brother ruining is enough to boil his blood. After that Klaus took a box of Elena’s blood and sent off to find a pack that one of his witches notified him of. He came back with about 20 hybrids, all having a sire bond to Klaus similar to Tyler.

Originals and annoying drama aside, he was in a constant state of yearning. Klaus had looked into searching for Hailey but came up with nothing after a while. The only record of her lasted until she was eleven and then it was like she went off the grid. When he wasn’t preoccupied all Stefan could think about was her. Was she okay, was she safe, was she mad at him, and what is the deal with her records just stopping? He made so many scenarios in his head that Klaus had to tell him to calm down and grab a drink. Elena and Damon while trying to interrogate him assumed that he was just ignoring them, left in a huff. When he slept he often had dreams of her and his brain was coming up with such a strange story. In his dream he is often with her at the boarding house just snuggled on the couch when he moves his arm around her waist and feels that her stomach was bigger than what he remembered. His dream self is calm and looks to Hailey and she smiles and puts his hand on a particular spot and he feels a little thump against his hand.

Then he wakes up confused and sad, he doesn’t understand why he’s having that dream and he’s sad because he’ll never be able to give that to her. But his dreams don’t stop, he’s either feeling for a kick, listening for a heartbeat, talking to her stomach and laying kisses on it, or he’s just there with his arm around her with his hand resting on her baby bump. Then one day in his dream she no longer has a baby bump and they’re just on the couch, he’s so used to seeing her with one that he wants to ask so badly what had happened. Then he hears something that leaves him with a strange feeling, a baby crying. Hailey stands up, heading towards the direction of the cry and he’s about to follow her when he wakes up. What does it mean, why did he have a dream for so long about her being pregnant than for her to have had the baby? What was his subconscious trying to tell him?

He doesn’t know, the only thing he does know is that he’s worried out of his mind over not knowing where Hailey is and what she could be doing. He asked Klaus if the mating bond makes her miss him just as much as he misses her and Klaus responded that he didn’t know as Hailey was human. Everything about their bond is unheard of and new, Klaus doesn’t know how different the bond could be. It worries Stefan but it doesn’t wane his want to find her, it wasn’t enough for his vampire anymore after his last dream. His vampire demanded their mate back and no amount of being told her being safer away could quiet it. He was getting angrier and more anxious everyday that he goes without seeing her, Klaus send him out as he was afraid Stefan would rip off a few of his hybrid’s heads. He didn’t want to deal with his brother so he’s been in the Mikaelson mansion, he finds it strange that the closer he was getting to town the more his anger was waning. Then he felt a pull, his vampire took over and he was left viewing everything as if it was a dream. The pull lead him to town square and it was then he finally snapped out of his daze.

He looked ahead and he had to wonder if he was dreaming again. Under a tree, sitting on a bench was Hailey Potter. She wasn’t alone as she had two babies in a baby wrap carrier on her chest. Two babies…that scents make Stefan dumbfounded, they had Hailey’s scent to prove them as her offspring! Stefan didn’t know how to feel as a whirlwind of emotions slammed into him. How was this happening, it shouldn’t be possible?! Stefan knows for a fact that he was her first, her scent when the first met was completely pure! He could catch her scent from where he was, what he smelled from her elated him but just made him more confused. She smelled as she did before: floral fragrances with roses being the main scent…but he could also smell himself on her.

The babies she’s holding could be a day old from how fresh they smelled. The babies were her’s, scents don’t lie. But it didn’t make sense! He had been her first, it’s been only two and a half months since he seen her, and he definitely would have noticed if she was pregnant when they were together! A small part of his brain had made itself known when he thought of the possibility of them being his. It couldn’t be possible…could it? Vampires have been having sex with humans for generations and there has never been a case of a vampire procreating! But then again…Klaus did say that there has never been a case of a human-vampire mating bond, what exactly can he consider possible for them? He needed answers and his vampire was tired of waiting to have contact with their mate. He was about to move towards her when he saw something that made his stomach wrench in fury. Why the hell was his brother going towards Hailey?!

Chapter 20

Immortal Dilemmas

“Guys, s-something’s wrong! We got to go! Something’s wrong with Hailey!” Stefan said with a pained and panicked face. Ron hadn’t felt fear like that since the war but it was definitely bringing back memories. The dread he felt when Voldemort screamed that Hailey was dead and the denial he felt until it came crashing down when he saw Hagrid with a tear stained face holding what was thought to be her corpse. Thank the deities that it was not her time yet! The same feelings were coming back, he looked around and saw the same worried looks on the others. He made a gesture and quickly grabbed Stefan’s arm and ran out of the grill into the back alley. He saw that his brothers had caught on to what the plan was. Stefan looked near catatonic but there wasn’t any time to spare, quickly wizards paired off with vampires and apparated back to the Mickaelson Mansion.

Stefan looked like he was getting worse, when they landed he had keeled over and was grabbing his chest in pain. Bill made a move to try and help him back up but Klaus was quick to stop him, Bill was about to ask him why he stopped him when a furious roar erupted from Stefan. The vampires were quick to jump in front and cover the magicals. Klaus had to suppress a shiver when Stefan had stopped screaming and looked dead straight at the mansion. His worse fear for his brother had happened, something bad happened to Hailey and now Stefan’s vampire had gone feral. Before he could bark at his brothers to help hold back Stefan, he had sped into the mansion. They all chased after him but the scene in front of him filled him with dread.

Stefan was hovering over a disturbingly still Hailey and Kol had a piece of broken furniture lodged in his chest. It doesn’t kill them but it still takes them out for a small period of time. He rushed over to pull it out, it shouldn’t take too long for him to wake up. Klaus and his brothers started to frantically look around, the boys…where are the boys?! That’s when a cry of anguish was let out by Stefan. They were all in shock and ran towards him. He let out a hiss when they came too close. He was holding Hailey close to his chest, one hand in her hair and the other around her back but she wasn’t holding him back, she was limp.

She wasn’t breathing. The magicals were suddenly back at Hogwarts seeing the scene all over again and the vampires were being filled with anguish and rage at the loss of their new family. Ron took in a shaky breath in and tried to not let loose the tears that were threatening to spill he had to remind himself the facts. Hailey is the Mistress of Death, even if she dies she won’t stay dead.

“Everyone calm dow-“ he tried to explain before things could escalate.

“How can we possibly be calm?!? Hailey is gone and the boys are missing!!” Klaus’s eyes were flashing from how angry he was and how his wolf was trying to break out and tear out the throat of who was responsible for it.

“SHES NOT GONE-listen there are some things we haven’t gotten to tell you guys yet-“ Ron was cutoff as Hailey sucked in a large gasp and started coughing. Stefan, who still had his feral face on and tears running down, scrambled to put her in a proper position. Kol was coming back as well and was being brought up by his brothers. Hailey was flailing around and trying to get up from the ground but Stefan wasn’t letting her.

“THE BOYS!! WHERE ARE MY BOYS?!? WHERE ARE MY BABIES?!?” She was looking around frantically still trying to get out of Stefan’s arms until Percy had grasped her attention by grabbing her shoulders and barely flinching when Stefan snarled at him. The others were still trying to grasp reality as Hailey still had her human scent.

“Hailey! You got to tell us what happened!” Ever the logical one Percy wanted to know the situation before acting. But what Hailey said threw whatever calm response he could possibly have.

“Katherine happened! She must of took the boys, we got to go!”, she tried to again leave her husband’s arm but was confused on to why he wasn’t letting her go. Kol let out a growl at hearing the woman’s name.

“You just came back from the dead! You shouldn’t be moving around too much! Not to mention, Hailey we don’t know where they went how can we possibly find-“ Elijah tried to reason with her until she pulled out her pendant and muttered a spell which unleashed two golden arrows pointing.

“Little treat MACUSA put in for me, now- LETS GO!” She screamed to everyone, they looked about ready to flash out and have the magicals hitch a ride but Stefan wasn’t moving. Stefan was just sitting with her on the floor letting out wounded growls when she tried to leave. His feral look had yet to leave him. Hailey finally asked her burning question.“What’s going on, why isn’t he talking and why isn’t he letting me go?”

“It’s his vampire, love. It went feral from feeling your death and now it’s likely he won’t be able to do muck other than hover over you until you can snap him out of it.” Klaus said with some trepidation. In theory a mate should be able to calm and coax a feral ripper, so far it seems possible. Hailey took Stefan’s face into her hands and forced eye contact, her face was filled with determination but also with panic.

“Stefan-Stefan, look at me! Katherine did this, she tried to take me away from you, but she didn’t but now she’s trying to take our boys! Stefan please we need to get our babies back! We have to!” Something flickered in his eyes. It started to settle down but his eyes were still blood red, the vampire still had major control. He nodded his head obediently. She reached up and wiped the tear tracks on his face away and nodded back. She looked to everyone. “Follow the arrows! They can shows us the way even with your speed involved! Let’s get the boys back!”

The arrows led them down a familiar path and then it made sense why. Katherine had gone to where she first met the Salvatore brothers, the Salvatore Estate now Boardinghouse. They barged in and found her sitting on the ground. “It never gets old seeing Stefan all sweaty, hot and bothered. Just like when we first met, right Stefan?” Katherine had an amused and cocky smirk on her face which looked misplaced because of how ragged she looked. It quickly dropped as Stefan answered her with an animalistic snarl. She had on the same purple Henley and jeans on when she was impersonating Elena at the park. But it was bloody and torn with her jeans stained of mud and grime. She was practically malnourished from how little she had gotten to drink and her hair was slicked and matted with grime. But what made everyone’s hearts jump was that she had the boys right beside her.

They were crying their lungs out and displaying their natures. Cedar was levitating and throwing everything and Caelan had his baby fangs in full display trying to bite at her. But with Katherine so close to them she wasn’t affected by the chaos as well as keep them a distance to avoid biting. Seeing her just sitting there and daring to taunt them had Hailey boiling and her magic was beginning to react to her emotions.

“Katherine Pierce! You worthless bint! GIVE ME BACK MY BABIES!” The smirk that had dropped from Katherine’s face had come back full force with Hailey’s shouting. What could a human or witch do to her, Katherine Pierce. She’s survived over five hundred years on the run, she could survive a little girls tantrum. Everything this girl had should belong to her! Getting to raise her children despite being young and having Stefan at her side to do it, THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN KATHERINE. It was as if an outside force was speaking as her subconscious, making her be impulsive and more angry like she had to do it. She ignored it and started leering over Stefan again. Her eyes started to travel and she flinched when he lot out a small roar In retaliation. She looked around her redheads with the weird sticks and the Originals, she smirked.

“I don’t know about that…they just have the perfect amount of their daddy in them. Especially this one, he looks so much like Stefan. Would you mind if I just keep him? As if something had snapped, her head drooped and she started to walk towards Katherine. She walked despite the hissing and shouting from everyone and as if Stefan knew something was amiss he just let out a small whimper.

The smirk was slowly dropping from Katherine’s face as the feeling of dread was quickly rising in her. The lights were flickering and the air was becoming cold. Then an unearthly screech was heard in the distance causing everyone but Hailey to flinch. Instead she raised her arm and pointed a single finger at Katherine. She raised her head and caused her family to let out large gasps and be riddled with befuddlement. Her eyes, instead of white it’s had become black and her irises her glowing reminding the Weasleys of the Killing Curse. The screeching was getting closer and closer until it just stopped. Then all of a sudden the door had slammed open and the screeching had filled the house. Ron was quick to bark orders.

“Everyone against the walls don’t get close to those things!” He said while dragging Kol with him.

“What are those things?!” Klaus had been dragged to the wall by one of the twins. He was eyeing the Spector like things that were floating around the room. Every instinct in his body was telling him to run from those things.

“Dementors!”, as he said it the soul suckers had stopped flying around the room and came to a stop by standing behind Hailey, like dogs awaiting their masters orders to eat.

“Her.”, Hailey said simply but it left everyone with chills as her voice had changed to something unearthly. The Dementors charged at Katherine. They lifted her up by her arms and floated her away from Cedar and Caelan. With them so close to her and touching her Katherine was reliving every horrible memory she had. It didn’t take long for her to start begging.

“Please no! I-I’ll do anything I’ll leave you alone just let me go! I didn’t mean it!” She tried getting out of their grips but she couldn’t as she started to freeze in fear when Hailey Potter started to stroll towards her. She stopped momentarily when she got close enough to the boys. She picked them up and they calmed down almost instantly. She looked to the redheaded twins and they quickly scrambled up to get the boys from her. Once the twins were at a safe distance she turned her attention back to Katherine. In the corner of her eye she could see Stefan pelting himself over to the boys and frantically looking them over and nuzzling them when he deemed that they were okay.

“You didn’t mean it! You have evaded your crimes for too long!” Hailey’s voice had never sounded so bone chilling before even when facing off Death Eaters, that doesn’t compare to how angry she sounded at this very moment. She scoffed when Katherine started to form crocodile tears. And then started to explain herself that she was just jealous and just wanted some piece of Stefan. Hailey looked to the dementor on Katherine’s right with a raised eyebrow and I quickly put its corpse like hand over her mouth to shut her pleading up. Katherine was trying to get sympathy from anyone in the room with her wide fear filled eyes but she was just met with looks of disdain.

“Katerina Petrova in the name of Death, I sentence you to your own personal hell! May your last moments be filled with remorse as no rest will accompany you!” She nodded to the Dementors and it removed its hand while the other leaned in. All her manipulation tactics and persuasion powers proved fruitless when being sentenced to the Dementor’s Kiss. The vampires looked on in horror as a white vapor left Katherine’s body and was being sucked up by the Dementor. They let her go and they expected to having to hold her down but she just sat there like a husk. Breathing but looking so empty. The Dementors bowed to Hailey and flew out of the house. Everyone let out a breath they didn’t know they were holding. Stefan ran up to Hailey with the boys still with him, she gave them a faint smile…before promptly fainting. Fred was quick to conjure a very big bean bag for her to fall on. He knew that right now Stefan was in a very delicate mindset and anything could set him off. Not matter how worried he was for Hailey he could not risk it more by possibly pushing her mate too far.

Stefan made a wounded noise and climbed on the bean bag with her. Her arrange his family into a comfortable position. He was slowly coming back, the boys were rightfully tired and found a good sleeping place on their mama. Stefan was being lulled to sleep as well. As soon as Percy saw that they were asleep he put a silencing charm on them. They needed to plan out how they were going to move them back home without waking them up or drawing too much attention. From what he gathered this house was still being used by Damon so they needed to figure it out quickly. Speak of the devil and he shall appear.

Damon barged in with Elena both looked very irritated and with seeing them we’re about to begin interrogating when Charlie and Ron have had enough and hit them a Petrificus Totalus. They rubbed their foreheads when they both dropped like rocks into the floor. It was really turning into a long day.

Immortal Dilemmas

Stefan stood with his back towards Klaus shocked still. How did he know? But he was still stuck on the last part of what Klaus had said, ‘mated’. On an instinct he knew that he meant Hailey, it was why he was so determined to have her stay safe but it was the first time he was really acknowledging it. Klaus while more bearable than his brother was still an all powerful Original Hybrid. His vampire was recognizing that Klaus while an ally could easily turn into a threat to Hailey. But to his surprise Klaus had scoffed, as if Stefan had truly offended him. He turned towards the hybrid and he saw that there was a look of annoyance on his face.

“Honestly Stefan with how much we have gotten along I’m surprised of your hesitation. But then again…my past behaviors haven’t exactly shown it but I do enjoy having you around.”, did Klaus Mikaelson just say that in a sheepish tone? He and Stefan had gotten along fine with or without humanity involved. There was just always a conflict of interest. In the 20’s it was because of Mikael finding them and he couldn’t risk it but if it wasn’t for that Stefan would have stayed his best friend and brother. Recently it was being because of the doppelgänger but it was resolved with Stefan turning his humanity off. A vampire finding a mate was rare. It was considered sacred and it was one of the few rules that must be upheld in the community. Klaus being around for a long time had seen a total of five pairs of mates. Not everyone can pick up when a creature gets a mate, it takes a long time to notice signs. They all had the signs that Stefan showed. Change in scent and lasting claim marks. He’s had a thousand years to hone his senses to better detect it. Only when vampires reach five hundred years can they notice the bonds. He could still see a stiffness in Stefan, he figured now was a good time as any to finally let Stefan remember. He sped towards Stefan and held him in place by the shoulders.

“Stefan let me make this clear to you, I see you as a brother. And family means everything to me. You know this, but I think it’s time you remember it.”, Klaus had said his last sentence with his compulsion on. With it said everything came rushing back. Him and Klaus meeting because of Rebekah, the Original Sister. He remembered his brief romance with her. But more importantly he remembered that he and Klaus were like brothers.

When his flashback was over he looked to Klaus and rethought everything. From his memories he now knew that Klaus was more of a brother to him than Damon had been. Klaus had protected him, taught him, encouraged him, and acknowledged his talents. While Damon had always done the opposite. Damon left him unprotected and scared when he was turned, left him to learn his new powers by himself, put him down and made the same jokes about his character for centuries, and Damon was always jealous and angry when Stefan had something good in life. Damon was more of a threat than Klaus. Klaus was only perceived as a threat because in the past he was after Elena and was willing to paint the town red for it. Now though Stefan knew how desperate Klaus was to unlock his hybrid status. He had described it to Stefan as having a limb that he could always feel and move being tied behind his back. It was there but tied down for a thousand years. Anything like that would make anyone desperate.

He made a decision then and there, Klaus was a powerful ally and wanted Stefan to be his brother again and so did Stefan. Stefan needed and wanted Klaus to be on his side especially since Hailey is his mate, he’ll need help keeping her away and safe from the Scooby-Gang. They would not hesitate to use her to have Stefan obey them to take Klaus down.Klaus waited anxiously, watching Stefan.

“…Klaus, I want you to swear to me. Swear on your family that what I tell you about her, you won’t tell anyone. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you can still be my brother just…please…promise that you can help me keep her safe.”, he’s going to trust Klaus. The mere thought about Hailey being hurt, it was like he was human again and vulnerable to everything. His vision was getting blurry, he blinked and realized that he was close to letting tears fall. He was feeling again, Hailey always seemed to have that affect on him. Klaus was baffled, he knew that mating bonds were strong, but Stefan’s was able to make him feel while he was supposed to have his humanity off. As to Stefan’s request, he’ll help. Other than the fact that Stefan was like a brother to him, he didn’t ask for him to protect his mate he asked him to help. He squeezed Stefan’s shoulders to get his attention.

“Stefan, I Niklaus Mikaelson swear on my family name that I will help you keep your mate safe and protected.”, to Stefan it was as if a giant boulder was lifted up his shoulders. Klaus was planning to have Stefan turn back on his emotions but it seems he didn’t need to. Stefan’s humanity was back on due to the overwhelming amount of happiness and gratitude that he had.

“Now with that out of the way. Tell me all about this girl.”, Stefan had started to blush. Oh dear, his little brother was absolutely whipped over this girl.

“Her name is Hailey Potter. She’s from the UK. As you could guess we met on my way back from that coven, by the way they said there wasn’t anything in their magic that could help on changing the need for human doppelgänger blood. PS if anyone asks you sent me to Alabama to kill a coven that was getting out of line. Anyway she had gotten into a crash and was walking because she couldn’t call for help. I saw her on the side of the rode and I thought that as soon as she got into my car I would drain her dry but I just couldn’t.”, Stefan was a ripper so hearing that he was able to say no to blood was surprising. A bigger surprise was that Stefan’s mate was human. Out of the five pairs he had met, all of them were already turned. He stopped Stefan to confirm.

“Wait! Your mate is a human?”, Stefan just nodded his head not seeing the big deal. Deities Almighty, someone help these Salvatore’s.

“Stefan, since the beginning of vampires there has never before been a match between a vampire and human.”, though it could explain why Stefan’s mate bond feels differently than the others. With werewolf mates the bond feels wild and like instant love but contained with loyalty . Vampires mates bond feels mellow, patient love, and open. But Stefan’s feels extremely different, it feels like unconditional love tied with so many others, but the most obvious he could feel was the support. He can’t feel the complete bond without the other half not here, but it was still an impressively strong bond. He let Stefan continue.

“Well, I don’t know how it happened. I just know that hurting her felt wrong. We were in the car for a while before I decided to break the silence. I asked what she was doing in America. And the conversation just evolved from there. She had lost someone important to her due to all the crazy stuff that happened over there. I gave her my condolences but she looked like she was so used to hearing it, so I told her about my past in a human version. I don’t know why, but something in me wanted to connect with her. We did connect after sharing our woes, I needed a drink but I couldn’t stand the thought of leaving her so, I invited her along. There was this guy at the bar we were at…I almost killed him in front of everyone because he touched her.”, a little concerning but with Stefan’s past it’s not surprising. Vampires are known to be possessive not protective. Stefan, however, has had a past of violently losing the things he’s loved and his vampire recognizes that. Though if he was ready to kill in front of everyone,why didn’t he?

“Why didn’t you? At the time you didn’t exactly have the capability to care.”

“Because being with Hailey made me care. I didn’t want to scare her so I just threatened the guy…with decapitation.”, he added with a sheepish tone. Ah, again, the bond was strong enough to make Stefan care with his humanity off even before they were mated, intriguing. He let Stefan continue.

“I had to use compulsion so they wouldn’t card us but we started drinking together. When we were leaving Hailey…surprised me, she made the first move. As it turns out I was given her first kiss. And then we got a little carried away, and I ended up also…taking her virginity.”, Klaus had to struggle not to laugh at how red Stefan became. Most vampires do not wish to have a virgin human girl as bed partner, it could lead to them losing their control. He decided to tease Stefan a bit, it’s what brothers are for.

“Why Stefan you don’t mean that you two took part doing the devils dance?”, it was hilarious to see Stefan turn as red as a tomato. He couldn’t exactly do this back in the 20’s considering it was his sister that was with Stefan at the time. Thankfully, Rebekah has moved on to that human named Matt Donavan.

“So, how did she look?”, he said with curiosity and to his surprise, Stefan groaned. What happened?

“She is unfairly gorgeous. Everything she did was unintentionally seducing me. She had the most gorgeous black hair. Her eyes reminded me of emeralds. And her skin was fair and it was so soft to the touch.”, he should stop fantasizing about Hailey before he gets a…problem in front of Klaus. Klaus will once again think it, his brother was totally whipped.

“But that night when we were sleeping I had a nightmare, people kept showing up telling me I was going to ruin her, that if she stays with me it would be signing her death warrant. When I woke up she was still sleeping, I just couldn’t drag her into this but I still wanted to have something with her. I left her my ring and my phone number…also I need to get a ring.”, Stefan looked like a kicked puppy at the remembrance of having to leave Hailey. But he had made up his mind as long as Damon and the others have the drive to try and get rid of Klaus, she wouldn’t be safe with him. But if a day came that she wanted to come to him or him to her, he would at least know that Klaus has his back.

Normally I love to ship Barry with our favorite arrow loving vigilante Oliver Queen but I also think that SuperFlash is super adorable.

Hey! Yeah sorry about not updating. I’ve just got finished up with the last of my semester and then I’ve been working and had to recently travel out of the country but I’m back! Thanks for the kind words I’m trying to finish up the last few chapters so hopefully if things go right they’ll be out in a bit!

Chapter 6

Immortal Dilemmas

*Hailey Potter*

Once they were able to revive Ron, Hermione had to talk him down from trying to hunt down Stefan. She had to remind him Stefan is a vampire and probably wouldn’t take kindly to someone trying to give him the shovel talk. He begrudgingly agreed, muggle vampires were a lot stronger and faster than magical ones. There was even a rumor that they can control minds. He sat back down and looked towards Hailey, who was holding a hand to her stomach and lost to thought. He was worried for his sister, there hasn’t been a vampire born child in ninety years. The ministry had banned vampires and witches from producing more, they were going to have to add that to the list of what to fix.

“Hailey, other than the family and a few people you cannot tell anyone about this. The ministry already is in fear of you rising in power if they catch wind of this they’ll paint you as a Dark Lady.”, the ministry would not hesitate to take something that made Hailey happy to turn everyone against her.

“He’s right Hailey until we can fix and dig out corruption in the ministry you have to keep everything under wraps. The Daily Prophet, no doubt would also judge you for being so young and already becoming a mother without being married.”, the wizarding world is still in the dark times so while her age is a minor issue it was more to do with her not being married and producing an illegitimate heir that would inherit a massive fortune and the titles of the most powerful families. So they immediately started planning, Hailey was not going to put her child at risk. Phase one, was to tell the family about …everything. Phase two, take Hailey to Hogwarts to see Madam Pomfrey. Phase three, do more research and find information about half vampire children that could come in handy. It’s a vague plan but with Hailey in the equation it’s best to not have a detailed plan. She didn’t feel comfortable with the glamour constantly on. So she borrowed Hermione’s pallet of the twins makeup products that could hide marks on the skin pretty well.

“Hailey…I want you to know that no matter what happens with everyone downstairs Ron and I will have your back, we always will.”, they’ve had their ups and downs but it has always felt it was the three of them against the world. But maybe after the conversation downstairs it can hopefully grow into their family against the world. With it settled the trio hesitantly made their way back down to everyone in terse silence. It looked like everyone had decided to wait for them downstairs, and fill the living room with idle chatter. Remus and Tonks had came when the trio was still having their discussion. They had little Teddy with them, seeing him made Hailey wonder about her own child. Would they be a boy or a girl, would they take after her or Stefan more? A poke to her arm brought her out of her thoughts. Since the war had barely ended, everyone was still tense but if she didn’t do it now she knew she’d never be able to later. She cleared her throat and the chatter quickly ceased, a habit that everyone in the order developed. She took quick glances around the room, everyone was either sitting down or leaning on something and all were staring at her waiting for whatever she has to say. Though Remus’ gaze seemed a little more intense than the others, like he was trying to figure out a puzzle. Hailey remembered that while Remus was in his human stage he still had some senses from Moony. She realized that he may be able to smell Stefan on her… and maybe even the pregnancy. She needed to say everything before he blurts something out in shock…or anger. She took a deep breath.

“Everyone in this room has my upmost trust but…the information that I’m going to tell you is too important to be risked, I know that we’ve just gone through hell but this is me asking you as my family…to swear on your life and magic for this.”, gasps travelled through the room, even in the war Hailey hadn’t ask them to make a magical oath. She had said any information they had was not worth their lives, it was better for no one to know anything than have to take drastic action. Whatever she was going to tell them must mean more to her than the world. One by one everyone stood and raised their wands to their chest.

“I vow on my life and magic, that whatever Hailey Potter tells me will not be repeated to anyone not in this room or without her permission. So I say it so mote it be!”, Hailey had said and everyone recited her words. With the oath done she let out a breath of relief, that was one less thing to worry about.

“Now as you all know during the battle Vol-Tom had battled me. What you don’t know is that the wand that he was using had used to belong to the Headmaster. Tom had thought that with him killing Snape, he would come to own the wand. He was wrong. While Snape had done the killing blow it was Draco that disarmed Dumbledore.”, everyone had shocked and stunned faces besides the trio. Molly had noticed that Ron and Hermione weren’t shocked at the news. While everyone else was treated as soldiers, the trio had to become teen generals, they had more information about how the war went than anyone. Molly felt intense sorrow that her children, blood or not, had to go through a war and carry such a burden.

“At Malloy Manor when we were taken, we had ran into Draco. Seeing as he lied when he was asked to identify me, I did him a solid and just disarmed and petrified him. With me disarming him the wand had recognized that Draco was defeated even though he wasn’t using it. The wand became mine. When I was fighting Tom the wand had recognized me. It would not harm it’s master. After the battle I had planned to just snap it, it was too powerful to have in this world. But…it came back to me, good as new.”, everyone,excluding the trio, had gone stiff…there was only one wand that could have that much power but it wasn’t supposed to be real. Ignoring the stiff stances she continued.

“When I had disarmed Draco…I had unknowingly started the course of a prophecy. One that was so old I doubt that it was in the Department of Mysteries. It had stated that a descendant of the last brother would one day come into possession of all the Deathly Hallows making them the Master of Death, unable to be claimed by Death until Death deemed them ready…what people don’t realize is that if you go far enough into the Potter family history, you’ll find that a Iolanthe Peverell had married into the family. I had inherited the cloak from my father, I had obtained the wand from Draco,…and I had gotten the stone from Voldemort.”,Hailey stopped herself from saying the rest of the prophecy. She needed to gauge everyone’s reaction to her new title before saying anything else. She almost flinched when Molly had drew her into a hug and everyone had either joined in or was standing in a very close circle around her. She was startled when sh heard muffled crying. Molly was crying into her shoulder and everyone else was either trying to hold back their tears or hold back the curses that they wanted to throw at the world in anger at the unfairness. All Hailey had ever wanted was to be happy and settle down. How could fate be so cruel to her?

But Hailey was relieved at their reactions. At least no one looked afraid of her, it was more like they were afraid for her. While she was taking in the reactions she was pulled into a bear hug by Remus who had finally calmed down enough to go and hug her. But then, Remus took a big breath in through his nose. Both him and Hailey stiffened in realization. Before the battle he had been able to drag her into a hug, she had smelled of innocence and of floral fragrances. But now…while she still had her floral fragrance, her…innocence…was…GONE!?!? It was replaced by a musky woodsy scent and another scent that had smelled familiar but before he could place it Hailey put a firm hand on his forearm. He looked to her and was going to start sprouting off about ‘where the hell was the guy?’ and ‘what in the world happened last night?’ but a stern look from stopped him. He would respect her demand to wait, but they will be having the conversation. Once he was seated like everyone else, he had casted a quick look towards his wife and son. Ron and Hermione flanked her, showcasing the image of them readying to step in front of her if necessary. Everyone grew worried as Hailey started to speak again, what else has happened?

“When I found out we were in the library, I had freaked out and panicked. My magic reacted to it and accidentally apparated me. When I landed, I was in Oregon, America near a small town. I thought I could use some time alone to think about everything. I was wandering for a while before a guy had pulled up to me in his car asking if I needed a ride.”, she was met with several ‘you should know better’ looks. She just rolled her eyes. Stefan was impulsive but he didn’t intend hurt her. Thinking of him made her heart yearn and she had to continue before she got lost in remembering him.

“In order to break the silence we started talking and really connected on an emotional level. We got into some heavy topics about our past. So in order to help us get distracted he offered to go drinking-“ before she could continue all the guys had started spewing curses and yelling out questions about this ‘guy’. She just cleared her throat again and continued.

“We talked some more. But soon enough we had left the bar. I really like Stefan, he was pretty cute and I had some liquid courage…I kissed him.”, the females of the room had started to squeal and demand Hailey that she had to tell them more later. She started to get irritated when she overheard about how brutal Fed and George were planning to prank Stefan.

“Leave him alone! I had made the first move, you can’t do anything when I initiated it.”, they were quick to stop…for now.

“Now what I’m about to say, I need you all to not freak out. There is more to the prophecy then me becoming the Master of Death. It had stated that with me and a creature of death…we would be able to…produce…the Heir of Death.”, it was so quiet that she could have heard a pin drop, she just needed to rush through and get it done.

“Last night, Stefan and I…we had…sex. You see turns out Stefan is a muggle vampire, making him a creature of death. And with me as the Master and him the Creature we were able to make the Heir!”, she said with haste in her last sentence. She waited until she felt Hermione and Ron pull her behind them. The explosion she was expecting had finally blew. Though she was expecting Ms.Weasley to start shrieking, she was surprised to find Remus to be louder.

“HAILEY JAMIE POTTER!! ARE YOU SAYING THAT YOU ARE PREGNANT WITH A RANDOM VAMPIRE’S CHILD?!?”, Remus was infuriated. Teddy had started to cry but he was quickly calmed down by Tonks. That’s what that other smell was! He had thought it was familiar, he had smelled it on Tonks for months, the smell of pregnancy. It was one thing that she had slept with a vampire, it was her choice on who she sleeps with and he didn’t have any say on the matter. He didn’t care that it was a vampire as long as they were both consensual and safe. Apparently being safe didn’t cross their mind! However, being pregnant with a half-ling was a sure way of having the ministry put a bounty on her head. Hailey was mad at him saying Stefan was a ‘random’ vampire. She nudged at Hermione to let her pass then stomped towards Remus with a angry scowl on her face.

“He’s not just some random vampire Remus! You don’t know what he’s had to live through! I love him Remus, it just so happens that our love lead to OUR child! OURS, it’s not just his child it’s mine too! I know it’s dangerous but this could be my only chance of doing my dream! Let me tell you the ministry can try but they will NEVER lay a hand on my child!”, her chest was heaving. She had frustrated tears in her eyes. At seeing Hailey about to cry, Remus started to panic. He did what he did to her when she would cry as a baby. He went over to her, hugged her gently, and started patting her back in a rhythm. She was tense but it was slowly melting away. Remus finally spoke.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that he didn’t mean anything to you. I’m just worried for you cub. If the ministry find out they’ll have a field day with this. But I want you to know that whatever you choose to do I’ll do my best to help and support you.”, he had said it in a soft tone, the same one when he talked to her as a baby. Hailey had pulled back slightly and had a gentle smile on her face. She then turned to everyone and saw that their expression matched hers. She walked back to Ron and Hermione.

“I plan on having and raising my baby. Also once they are born, until the whole ministry mess is clear, I’ll move to the muggle world to raise my baby. But until then, I’m going to need my family’s help to make sure that my baby makes it to the world and that the ministry is left clueless.”, they all nodded along with tentative smiles. This is Hailey’s chance a pure happiness, after everything she’s done for them, they were gonna do their best for her baby. But the twins being who they are were quickly tired of the mushy atmosphere and had mischievous smirks as they threw a question at Hailey that everyone wanted answered.

“Soo, Hailikkins, what exactly about this Stefan that makes you looooove him?”, Fred had asked with a cheeky smile. Her face grew warm and before she could say anything, George spoke up.

“And do tell why I notice our signature makeup covering your neck?”, George could notice cause after a while the makeup would develop a shine to it. While not exposing what the user was hiding, it still brought attention to the applied area. It was a work in progress

“Well? We’re waiting.”, the twins said at the same time. Their stares filled with mischief and chaos.

I recon if you post this on ff.n or Ao3 you would get a lot more attention for this pairing/crossover. I adore your story and I want it to get the love it deserves :)
