GEESE will make their way to the first Naturality update- birds and other farm-folk! I know- big news. Anyway, on to the meat of the post- about these lovely birds!

Geese, specifically the Canadian goose (at far right) and its fellow wild geese, spawn in virtually any body of water. Canada geese find themselves in the cold, attacking any adventurer who dares get close to their nests. Dewlap geese (far left, middle right) on the other hand spawn in the rainy highlands of the Overworld. The domestic goose must be bred, but will occasionally spawn in villages.

Geese can be tamed and fed various items. Feeding them bread gives them weakness.

I’ll be leaving for a two-week cruise in a couple weeks, where I’ll have no Blockbench access. So, if you want a model or skin, tell me now! I can still do concept art and stuff, but actual BB? Nope (well… unless I can get mobile Blockbench to work…). So, DM me any critters you want made!

Don’t worry- I’ll be queueing up a bunch of models while I’m gone so you can still see progress. And of course I’ll be concept-arting in the Caribbean! Look forward to a bunch of art, guys. Also vote on that Assassins poll. You’ve a day left. Furry sweep! /j

are the rats & possums in the same mod? Im assuming the dinos are separate lmao but will they be compatible? Idk how mods work actually so sorry if thats a stupid question. also whats the third mod you mention in your bio?

hey thanks for the ask! i’m currently working on 3 mods- one about nature and stuff (naturality), one about mythological creatures (mythos), and one about prehistoric animals! mythos is the one i’m still cookin’ up, the one in my bio! hopefully, all mods will be compatible with not just each other but with other mods.

what i mean by that is they might have cross-compat with other mods (like Vazkii’s Quark) and with themselves (Prehist deinon eats Natur rat).

and yes, Possum and Rat/Mouse are all from naturality! bonus fact- all of these mods are gonna be on 1.20.1 to begin, but will hopefully be back ported to 1.18 and 1.16.5! the only requirements for these bad boys is an animation engine called GeckoLib, which is necessary because the 3D program i use (Blockbench) isn’t the best for rigging and animation (gotta do some trigonometry). feel free to ask me some more stuff!

one of the most interesting ( and sad ) true crime cases i've read about was that of Andy , the footless goose . Andy was born in the late 80s in Nebraska and died in '91 , killed in a murder .

Andy was born without feet and had gone through several different attempts to give him mobility , including "a skateboard-like prosthesis" . none worked . Andy's owner then "fitted [him] with [special] baby-sized shoes" , which gave Andy the mobility of a typical goose .

Andy became a role-model for disabled kids ( since his shoes allowed him to walk , swim and fly with the efficiency of a typical goose ) .

Andy's story is a sad one , ending with him being found dead in a local park , dismembered . the local government stated that they had found the perpetrator but opted to not reveal their identity .
